Amazingly composed and with a hint of humour to.

Below is a link, (trust me, it's a top read - strong language warning), to the whole transcript and there's a lot more than just asking to order a pizza. You'd have to have some gall to say what he did to a Judge in court.

He got 15 years for murder and now he faces a contempt charge for what came out of his mouth. Hardly think he's the type person I'd like to hang around with and I reckon it will be quite a culture change for Gerard.

The transcript of his rant has been sent to the Department of Public Prosecutions for its consideration.

That judge has grace. What a brilliant sense of humour too.

When a DV incident gets out of hand and the partner dies, the other party calls 000 and spills the beans or tries to give them an explanation as to why it was an accident as the result of an argument gone wrong. They don't hide the body. IMO. If Mr Baden Clay and his defence team are ever going to contemplate an offer of a plea of guilty to manslaughter I reckon they should do it very soon, if they haven't arleady commenced such a discussion with the DPP. It can be offered on a without prejudice basis so that it cannot be used as evidence of a consciousness of guilt. Every piece of supposed prosecution evidence I have seen reported might well be consistent with something other than an intentional murder, but once the weight of evidence builds you have to start thinking strategically. If all they went to trial with was what was in that affidavit at the bail hearing then they'd probably welcome a plea bargain. Purely MOO.

Asserting that a case is weak when it obviously isn't, might suggest to a judge and the prosecution that the defence is weak. MOO.

Your first line Annie is one of the many questions I still have about this case. Thought as I am typing this I have probably answering my own question, I had always imagined that someone of GBC age would realise that for insurance payouts missing isn't good enough, the law states that they have 7 year waiting period until some "missing" can be assumed dead. My thought being then if you want the assurance money don't hide the body too well. I assumed a level of intelligence and general knowledge that obviously Gerard does not possess.

I wonder if the interference to the corpse was though that Gerard realising that Allison body hadn't been found and time was running out, moved Allison body from where he originally placed her, to somewhere that she was more likely to be found.

That thought has crossed my mind too, however now that we know that he was a POI early on (as mentioned in the msm yesterday), we could assume that the police would have been keeping him under a tight watch. So would he have been able to go and move the body without being caught?

He didn't need a divorce - walk out the door you silly silly man

(Justice referring GBC)

Some social psychologists identify it as linked to a signal of high social status. In contrast pride could also be defined as a disagreement with the truth.

Was OW directed by her Father , to send out that email for funds, because he knows he is going to need legal representation , after he gets to ride in the " fully escorted limousine" to the watchouse ?
IMO , Olivia's fundraising is for Daddio.
Daddio is hoping his Baden name grab, ( from Baden Powell ) will finally pay off.
Hope I'm wrong. :maddening:

After yesterday's shocking news my concern now is that Mahony & the team will switch to the plan B and play out GBC's mental unfitness/challenges scenarios. GBC with his debts, affairs and commitments to TM appears retarded to me apart from his alleged guilt. Look at what's happened in Norway. Breivik has been classified as insane, and now a brand new psychiatric clinic is being built for him at taxpayer's expense.

Thanks Blue!!! I doubt that Allison "separated* finances. That makes me sad. :(

Yes, his ego, his will would have dominated their relationship and he would have probably gotten the lion's share and his own way IMO. Ego driven, status driven and if I may make mention of Heyerdahl, who from memory appeared to have the personality of this type of guy down pat.

Heyerdahl, if you are reading, I would be interested on your take now.

I can't believe he thought he was so smart he would get away with it. Shows you how important his girls were to him. Just going to leave the family "what a guy". He thought of financial gain nothing else. What a sad man. Hope he drops his soap in shower and gets what he deserves.

...He and Nige better get Olivia to send them soap-on-a-roap

Granny , your aviator is freeking me out.
Granny Power personified hey? :rocker:

Aunty, I do not think it is necessarily so. Her husband's occupation is about financial requisitions, so it is quite in her frame of reference (or within her comfort zone) to source finances externally, in the form of donations. JMO.

Hi. I didn't realise the kids were with him on the night of the murder. When did this information surface?

This point was analysed weeks ago and the msm stated yesterday that the children were at home that night.

Blue Bottle, if you are correct, and they get that $967K payout, then I would agree. I've always given to MS (lost a childhood friend to MS), Salvo's (although disgusted with their stance on gays) and the Fire Brigade. I forgot about the $967K - mainly because I can't imagine Insurance companies paying out when the death was deliberate and a result of murder. A few posters talked about suicide, but what is the situation in cases of murder? Will the girls get the money?
Also they are Victims of Crime Recipients. So they will be getting some of what they need paid for in the immediate future, plus costs for counseling, etc, plus a payout from VOCAT to each child as societies gift to lessen the trauma they have suffered (legal rationale for this payment). It will be kept in a Supreme Court Trust for them until they reach 18 years of age. Money is not their most pressing problem as they will be looked after financially. It is their major trauma of loss of their parents and their attachment to them. They need a secure, stable, nurturing environment with Child Psychotherapy Services built in to support them long-term through their individual journey through major trauma. Their carers need support to help guide them through some of the challenges ahead. IMO it is critical that they are in the care of loving family where they have a sense of belonging right now.

I've skipped a few pages, so apologies if this has already been discussed - but i was fascinated to hear that an iphone apparently retains a charging history. Does anyone know how to access this information? Can it be done by the phone user, or would the police have had to apply to the ISP?

Sorry but I've missed a heap of threads in the past few weeks but just wondering if you know that Mr BC is in the psyche ward at the local gaol.

After yesterday's finding I would expect he has not been moved anywhere.
Sorry , misinterpreted your post as a question?
Thanks for this info.

Just wondering what you thought the DPP case so far, Hawkins? I was nervous when the MSM initially reported that the defence believed it was weak, but as it all unfolded it seemed to me to be quite "compelling" as Boyle said. Of course what do we know? It could all come undone as this progresses.

What do you think about SC Davis and Boyle? Particularly Boyle, don't think we know much about him.

Ultimately, just hope these little girls can be shielded from any more pain. Just tragic. Makes me appreciate and hug my boys a little more tightly each day.
