Well theres some confusion whether he allegedly shot himself in head or through his mouth.. then theres generally a massive spasm upon impact which can cause a gun to fly.
The pics did look a tad staged, okay.. but thats possibly how it went down.. the gun resting on his legs is another anomaly..
Coroner has to come up with the answers for that one.

just an assumption from the pic of him -- his host glass was in his left hand i think most people drink with dominant hand-- the gun was interestingly on the right side

If the deceased was standing at the time, it was more likely the gun would fall out of their hand. It seems in most cases, the gun falls out of the hand as they fall.

JMO, doesn't sound unusual, especially if he was standing at the time and fell backward.

And if indeed he had been standing when he took the shot, if it was he who took the shot, it could also explain the gun resting on his leg which possibly fell down when he did too..

Would hardly be worthwhile getting nice and snug and comfy before they experienced the most awful pain..
Strangely his death mask was that of someone who died peacefully..

IF there are no cameras in MBay. I doubt the reason is to cut costs. I don't know what the reason would be, but the costs would not be significant at all.
What i am researching right now is the question..... Do these 23 hotels "officially" not have cameras in hallways? But "unofficially", depends on who you ask.... if you get what i am saying....

Well with litigators and insurers crawling all over the gaf, they probably do have them now.. it is really weird because there is so much theft in hotels...

I would think folks are not gonna help someone bring an arsenal to 32nd floor of a 5 star resort without being aware of what was coming -- or possibly helping getting the goods prepared for a possible purchaser?

In the 60 min interview they described the magazines stacked up all -- i got the visual of like a new car auto dealer -- products up for sale in a nice presentation.

This is just speculation tho .

At the same the time . if I was like a carpet salesman I could be able to show my carpet , and if the customer liked it I would tell them I have more in the car if you want that.

Meh. Get aa judge and get a subpeona. Make the hotel and LE hand over all evidence and have it reviewed by an independent expert panel with one or two citizen reviewers. Have everyone testify under oath. Make results public.

The perp is dead, no trial is necessary at this point. Victims have already filed lawsuits, so all of this will come out in the discovery process.

Investigation into Paddock's past life and associations, activities is ongoing and will take a while. IMO, it will be interesting to learn more about his activities and what may have led up to his psych problems, paranoia and how he was able to stockpile so many weapons, explosives and ammunition without being stopped. Our greatest hope to prevent this kind of thing is to have those hard discussions about what we need to do to keep this stuff out of the hands of dangerous people.

Does Eric know he will receive $$$ from the estate? Does he know that (other) beneficiaries are willing to renounce their shares from the estate, toallow him to place $ in a trust for the victims? Or that they would receive $ thru the probate procedure and transfer that $ to a trust Eric estab’s?
Nobody^ mentioned a will. Did shooter leave a will or die intestate? Article says filed in district ct, not probate ct.

I'm not there yet. I am still trying to find evidence that Paddock was the lone shooter. Video in the hallways would answer a lot of questions.

No problem. That was one of those internet searches I didn't really want to do. At all. Will probably end up on some list. There may be more research out there, but some one else can volunteer to do that search on PubMed, haha.

Only photo I've seen is the one of him from the waist down and I didn't look closely. My first impression, not an expert one, was that he was standing up and just fell back.

Could be--CNN, ABC, NBC etc...had interviews scheduled with him too. They all could be lying about securing agreements with him.

And at some point I would hope an independent attorney became involved, in the signing of agreements. If so, perhaps that attorney also advised him of the various pending lawsuits in the wind and that anything he said during the media interviews can become evidence in later lawsuit proceedings, no matter if what he said was unintentionally misconstrued. It's one thing for key witnesses to take the stand in the courtroom because they have an attorney to stand by them, quite another to be interviewed on infotainment type shows.

Not to forget the fake xxxdash internet news of his involvement and did he realize for whatever reason there's people out there avidly looking to turn him from a unarmed security guard just doing his job and almost getting killed into a co-conspirator of SP? His media appearance was scheduled the following evening iirc. The timing is worth considering, coincidental or not.

I remain perplexed by the Union President appeared to condone JC being interviewed and risk every movement he made, every word he spoke being used to further stoke wild speculation upon a human tragedy, not yet thoroughly investigated. I'm glad for his sake he balked.

That could be -- he is lucky-- I can not recall a for profit entity hop on the bandwagon , our of there own pocket to protect what has been called a hero for a long time .

There is a crap load of evidence pointing towards multiple shooters. The only "evidence" pointing to a lone mad man is that is what the "authorities" are telling us. I'm sticking with what the facts are telling me, not what a scared sheriff is telling me. I'm sorry if that somehow offends people but I am stickler for the truth.

I‘m not offended, just saying that the first thing that came to mind was the JFK scenario where witneses were saying a multitude of different things and 50+ years of microanalysis wasnt able to figure out what exactly happened.

I cant tell you what was heard, I wasnt there, I have to go on with what they tell us and use common sense

Please quit saying the security guard went on vacation when it has been reported that he stayed in Las Vegas to recuperate out of the spotlight after being shot. It is really beginning to look like a smear and at the moment he is a victim who has never been named as even a POI.

IIRC he "went out of town".

I may be remembering this incorrectly but - and this is just me I would not want to be traveling after I just got shot.

there are plenty of places right in town to rest.

The getting out of town, has more meaning now that the news has reported that he is being protected from something .

Thus far I have not read a post accusing him of anything -- just a discussion of the many oddities as it relates to the case.

And again , we have to remember LE has not cleared anyone -- everyone is under investigation in this far reaching investigation.

We really at this point do not know one way or the other if he is POI or not. Nothing has been stated by LE either way- so its probably ideal if we wait for this investigation to move forward.

The leaked photographs came after they had processed the crime scene, bagged lots of stuff and named and numbered exhibits. I dont believe the leaked photos were necessarily those taken by lE as part of the crime scene processing. The forensics people would have their own photographs..
But it was very strange they were leaked all the same..
Who had access?
Only the police, normally while a body remains in situ, it cannot be left unattended...
