I think there has been a certain amount of judgement about DFN and way she lived her life. I think this applies to the media and the general public. In one of the articles posted a person commented that he stopped caring about what happened to Debbie after he saw the video she made with her ex. It shouldn't be like this of course. She is still missing and I believe she is the victim of a crime. All missing persons and their families deserve the same level of caring and compassion. That doesn't mean they always get it, however.

This is SO not what this girl said on Nancy later the same day. I remember it vividly because I found all of her erroneous detail about herself very annoying.

So in the evening on Nancy:

It's a possible significant other who she recently ended a relationship with that called Debbie, but she didn't know who was on the phone.

Debbie saying "Respect me and let me drive safely..."

But earlier in the day to Radar online it's:

Debbie believed Blu cheated...

A call from Blu where Debbie is crying "Wait for me, respect me, don't leave!"

Nope... not working for me. She has no credibility in my opinion. :waitasec:

Nancy Transcript 12.21.10

CASAREZ: You were with Ms. Flores several days before she went missing. You went shopping together, right?

MONZON: Well, actually, it was my birthday, the 26th. And because my birthday is on Thanksgiving weekend, I celebrate the week after also. And she wasn't able to make my birthday party. And she -- actually, she was at my birthday last year on Thanksgiving, and my family loves her. When she first came to Vegas, we took her in. She didn't have family out here. And she loved my family also. We`re really close, and we have a lot of food we love to eat. And she just -- it reminded her a lot of home.

CASAREZ: But she got a phone call -- she got a phone call while you were with her. You only heard one side of it, but what did you hear her say? And who was she talking to?

MONZON: Well, we were -- after dinner, she took me back to my car, and we were talking about life and her new show. And it was a beautiful evening. And in the middle of our conversation, she excused herself. And it was obvious that it was a possible significant other who she told me at dinner that she recently ended a relationship with.

And she said it officially ended October 22nd, and it was kind of rough on her. And I was there for her. So I didn't inquire anymore than that.
But when our conversation was interrupted by a call, she wanted to take it. And she just -- she was kind of shaken up, and she kind of -- she was telling the guy on the other line to wait for her to get -- to meet up.

I feel like he was wanting to discuss something on the telephone, but she just wanted to drive safely. So she just kept saying, Just wait for me, respect me, respect me so I can drive safely, let me just get off the phone with you and let me drive.
And...

CASAREZ: And three days later, she was gone. Three days later, she was gone.

Speaking exclusively to RadarOnline.com, close pal Merriliz Monzon revealed Debbie, 31, confided to her that she had recently made an unsettling discovery about Griffith.

"She believed he cheated,"
Monzon said.

The pair had spent the day together on December 9, eating dinner and shopping at Victoria's Secret where Debbie bought a belated birthday gift for her best friend.

Three days later, the former Washington Redskins cheerleader disappeared.

But shortly before they said their goodbyes, Monzon said Debbie took a call from her ex-boyfriend Griffith, a fellow Vegas dancer, who police say was the last person to see her alive.

Monzon told RadarOnline.com that while her friend was on the phone with Griffith, she was crying and said: Just wait for me, wait for me, respect me, respect me don't leave, don't leave!

Yes these stories are circulating out there like flies. The more is goes around the more it changes .The main thing is to find her.I believe she paid taxes in the state of Nevada. If a crime was committed a body needs to be found.Where are the searches?I feel like Celeste is a woman on her own right now.Thinking what direction do I go in now.Maybe a lot is going on we don't know about.I hope that is the case.I am not one to put down LE.They
have a very difficult job to do and not many could handle it

Honestly, Debbie did get a lot of coverage. I was totally amazed she got as much coverage as she did for as long as she did.

It is not unusual for the coverage to taper off after several days... as other people go missing. They also pretty much said they had found her body before realizing it was not her. Many people did not get the "oops, wrong body..." part and don't realize she is still missing.

Especially since it took nearly two weeks to publicly ID the body that WAS found. And even that is only if you were looking for it.

Everybody I have mentioned Debbie to since Christmas has "broken the news" to me that she was found at Lake Mead. So I think it is entirely possible that many other people, possibly even including media... believe it was her that was found.

Oh my gosh!!!!!
This almost makes my day.

Wow! With all of the sensationalized gossip I never expected there to be an arrest, for some reason. Good for them if he is guilty, so horribly sad for her family.

There certainly aren't very many details available. Hopefully, some kind of forensic evidence has been found. And/or Debbie has been found.

Wow this is certainly a turn of events. They must of found some strong evidence in his house or car to arrest him.No mention of a body, maybe he isn't talking. He thought he was smart getting rid of her before he went to court. So stupid instead of a charge of assault, now he's looking at murder.

Wowza! I didn't see this one coming this soon. I'm SO glad he's in jail where he belongs. And no other women can be victimized by him.

I never believed that Debbie left on her own. Or that he wasn't involved.

My thoughts and prayers are with her family, especially her sister. This is horrible for them.

RIP Debbie. So sad.

Haven't found much more info - just this for now

Records show Jason O. Griffith was booked earlier this morning and charged with one count of murder. His attorney, Patrick McDonald, said Griffith was arrested late Friday night.

I know it must seem like forever to the family - waiting for answers - but at least waiting for an arrest didn't drag out for years like we've seen in other cases.

Their hearts must be breaking. :(

Wow! I really didn't expect him to be charged without any mention of a body. I would think if LE had found the body, the media would be all over it by now. My guess is he isn't talking (which, wouldn't be surprising).

My prayers are with Debbies family. :rose:

Wow! I didn't expect to see this today. My prayers go out to her family and friends.

Now I'm wondering if anyone else could be involved because of the location of the car.

Did someone help him or was along for the ride?My heart goes out to Debbie's family

I can't say I'm surprised, especially with the case having gone so quiet lately. I hope Debbie is found soon and returned to her family. They must be heartbroken.

Now I am very curious what evidence LE has against him. There must be something powerful for the arrest to be made unless her body has indeed been found. I'm not inclined to believe he confessed. MOO

for Debbie :rose:

In light of the murder charge, Celeste Narvaez-Flores told PEOPLE, "I don't want to react until I talk to the police face to face and hear what it is that they need to tell me."

Seriously?!

First, they find a burned body that they think is Debbie and her sister finds out about that through the media. Has to call and talk to the detective about it to find out what is going on... because no one even bothered to call HER before it hit the news.

Then they arrest someone for Debbie's murder and don't even talk to her sister about it before the media finds out?!

Whatever happened to the basic respect given to a family to not make them find all of this out through the media!

Is it really that difficult to stop by in person and say "Oh, by the way we are arresting your sister's ex as we speak for her murder. We just wanted to make sure you didn't hear it through the media. We can't tell you anything more than that though."

Really? That is too much to ask?

That is ridiculous. :banghead:
