Well I expected the hearing to last a bit longer. However, since it was slated for 11, it made no sense they’d break for lunch at noon, resume at 1ish. I guess they knew at scheduling it would be brief.

Yes it was. I’m just not sure it said what Walmart. Would they have been stupid enough to buy shoes for murdering 8 people, at Waverly Walmart? Seems to me they’d at least have traveled out of town to buy the shoes at Walmart.

The grand jury decided that wasn't all. Prosecutors said there was a cover-up to be addressed. The Wagners are also accused of either tampering with or destroying their victims' cellphones, destroying the video cameras from the properties and getting rid of a camera that Jake Wagner bought a month before the homicides.

Perfectly orchestrated. They were under so much surveillance AW couldn’t buy a loaf of bread w/o LE knowing. They’re dumb enough to look in their rear view for “marked” vehicles. It prob’ never occurred to them that an old farm truck, a black corvette, a Volvo wagon behind them was the law,

I saw RW very briefly at the beginning. Boy, Jake sure seemed in good spirits! A couple of times, it looked like he could barely keep himself from cracking up.

I'd not shave my head, for court, if I were him... I don't really find him feminine looking, but I do find him frail in appearance. It's one reason I had a hard time envisioning these four committing this crime. If you look at the four of them in 2016, none of them appeared in good enough physical shape to creep around,and run from homes through the night, let alone climb through a trailer window. O.O Probably why they staged them open. The only running it looked like any of them did was to get pizza and beer, or pop. Except for JW, and he always looked like he was sickly. None of the four ever appeared to be very bright, either.

He is very slight in comparison to the other 3.
I’m thinking if he shaved his head now, by 1-24, it’d be short but neat.

The deputy had to “dress him out”, collect his clothes from the jailer, verify items free of contraband, etc.
JW prob called his aunt and told her what to bring.
Personally, I don’t think any of us care what they wear.
Especially if he’s onlily planning to wear jeans, why bother.

I think it was nervousness. He looked very nervous to me, and scared. I've seen lots of folks laugh, or smile, when they are in tense situations, such as funerals, court rooms, EMT runs, etc... Gallows humor is what gets some of us through life.

Smiling is a deep response to fear in the primate species. I thought about that when I saw him smirk today.

Absolutely. But for court, I think hygiene & presentation needs to be addressed. But, in the long run, it’s really irrelevant. They could give them all make-overs & hand tailored Gucci suits, it’d matter none.
They have them or the DA would have waited longer before presenting his case for indictments, MOO

I don’t find it unusual for a defendant to exhibit nervousness in court. Even if innocent. It’s intimidating.
