“They are trying to drag my daughter through the mud and I don’t appreciate that,’’ Manley, 64, said Monday surrounded by family members and stacks of photo albums outside the trailer he shares with his wife Judy."
Still, he also voiced anger and frustration with authorities trying to solve the unfathomable crime.

“If they tell me she was mixed up in this,” he said, “I would call them a liar and escort them off.”

According to Leonard Manley, when Bobby Jo showed up last Friday morning, the front door was locked and the dogs were nowhere to be found. There were at least two pit bulls, a "wolf-dog" and "coon dogs" that lived with his family members. Manley questioned why the killer or killers didn't shoot the dogs, which he described as fierce.

Have you heard hound dogs? First time I ran outside to help whatever dog that impaled itself. It's bizarre that all dogs are missing. If released, you'd think at least one would have found it's way back by now.

What I always come back to is sheriff saying arm yourself if concerned. For G*d sake, really? That cannot be good advice for LE to give residents, chance of them taking law into their own hands or shooting if startled. It has to be part of LE master plan, but seemingly keeps the town wound tight. How can a manhunt be on if suspect(s) are unknown? Isn't that simply an investigation? Sheriff words things oddly.

Possible, I doubt it as the s-i-l that the domestic dispute was with is the same person that Dana thanked on FB for helping paint the living room walls in her new home.

Maybe she was hanging around the property for a reason... did they just recently rekindle a relationship or have they been on good terms for awhile since that charge I wonder?

From the interview above, it sounds like Bobbie found Leonard's grandson & the grandson's girlfriend dead first. Then she went and found Leonard's son-in-law & his cousin dead. At that time, she then called Leonard and he came down and they found the daughter (Dana), her daughter and son dead. So it sounds like by the time she called 911, Leonard was probably already there and that is probably why she said "We" when talking to them. This would confirm that they actually went into all three places prior to LE arriving.

Then why only report 2 bodies at one house?

Wonder where that came from ? Something had to lead up to this tweet. Or was it just a random thought?
It would imply that the killer/s wanted her silenced, but also wanted to assure the baby didn't die. IMO

Oh yes, they are so loud, and I'll bet they were all barking and having a fit with all that going on. No way it was quiet.

One thing I've seen in small community living is things can escalate to something like a protective order and then be peachy keen in a very short time. Things are a bigger deal in small communities many times.

Yeah, someone had to drug the dogs or load them up prior to the event or kill them... IMO

I agree with you , I was trying to figure out what prompted the tweet. Did some kind of evidence surface ? An interview?

Maybe someone can enlighten me, but what is so fabulous about derby races? Is there big money in it? Pride? And did the females drive or participate somehow? I mean, I could kind of see how ONE murder would fit in that scenario, but EIGHT?

Question for Fraudqueen: Will you ask your husband whether he thinks the person who possibly owed a lot of money is one of the deceased Rhoden's or still alive?

Good question. Fraudqueen's husband's theory sounds very good. If victim(s) owed someone money, it was a person who wasn't interested in getting payback by stealing their pot plants or THC. It was someone known to the other victims, someone they knew the primary victim(s) owed money - for drugs, as a loan, etc.. IMO,the large number of killings was a way to send a message to others in the family & community - don't mess with me/us or you'll be next.

I'm wondering if perhaps LE wants people in this community wound very tight with the hope that this kind of pressure will make someone talk.

I'm just thinking outside the box...Maybe some type of vigilante justice?

Was this family keeping a secret or enabling someone in doing bad things and keeping quiet maybe out of family loyalty? I have wondered if anyone known to the family was sexually abused/raped at all in the past. Far fetched, but the revenge factor seems so personal. It would help knowing who the main target(s) were...

I don't think it's business/competition/inheritance related now because after making national headlines with a murder spree it would be super obvious who would benefit from the crime when they step in afterwards. It would be a stupid move.

I thought this the other day, and I'm starting to think again that the clues lie with which of the Rhoden family members in the area who were not targeted. I'm not saying they aren't now, but obviously they weren't a priority on that fateful day.

That 49 minutes has me scratching my head also. If I were LE I would be waking her up to. It can help with many areas. What if she walked in as the killers were just leaving. They could have been in the woods as Le approached. I don't know her timeline could help or hinder a lot. IMO

Well...that explains why Bobby was so out of breath on the 911 call. But why lie by omission? Def. makes those 40+- min. Interesting.

They've probably been reading here where we've discussed it.

There is so much revenge possibilities. There was a recent murder that has been mentioned in some places, that some think the Rhodens were responsible for.

Also there was a convicted sex offender in the police records that were posted. That person has been dead for several years, it seems though he was well loved and if anyone knew, he was protected..

Or, the dogs are kept outside and bark whenever a squirrel/cat/rabbit/deer/possum/raccoon/skunk/coyote walks by within sniffing distance. From a half mile away in the middle of the night while sleeping I can't imagine I would be woken up by a dog barking, especially if it was a common occurrence. If my dogs were barking in the backyard in the middle of the night it would probably wake me up, because they are never outside in the middle of the night. If it happened every day for a week I would start sleeping right through it.

That 911 call has been bugging me since the minute I saw Leonard's video saying they went in the houses. We discussed that way thread two.
