Well.......at the moment he's got it made! I find it so frustrating to follow these murderers because when it becomes a high profile case, they get better treatment. Scott Peterson didn't really suffer until he went to SQ. Remember him in the courtroom?...with that smirk! - he thought he was part of the defense team!:banghead:

Anybody else would be quaking in their shoes right now - scared silly. Not him and the likes - they seem to bask in the grandeur!
Sociopathic personalities behave that way. A "normal" person would be scared to death. MOO

darn, my direct TV is at camp.......I have another cable co. here..............can we make a thread on what you see at those prisons????
A few pages ago PattyG posted videos we can watch online. :)

Seems to me that whatever Joran's Mother comes up with Joran comes out with the same thing a day later.

Isn't Joran sitting with Clown watching news reports of himself on the TV?
Viewing himself as NOTORIOUS....

Joran likens himself, his actions to that of a pimp, a member of the mafia, a man without a country, travelling the world alone gambling, reading a book about Al Capone..Wanting to be a "Lion" someday....

Take away this thinly veiled persona and you have a frightened, psychopathic child that cannot control his demons.

BORDERLINE PERSONALITY i.e. The smallest slight will set them off...
to abuse verbally and physically.

I just wanted to say, I hope all of you can understand my abbreviations through my posts when I'm trying to type as quickly as they're talking on the show! I apologize if anyone is confused :)

You do great....and thanks for all you do panthera.

Bumping Up

I captured everything with regards to the Peruvian prision.

Thanks Patty G for your tremendous help bringing the videos of Lurigancho
to us.......just incase some missed the NGC program.

I am really enjoying watching him try and get out of this, its fascinating. If psychopaths are so good at self preservation however, I wonder at the way they behave once caught. The tactics he is using are doomed to fail and are inflaming the public as well as the peruvian police and justicial system. Its almost masochistic. If he had made a reasonable confession and played along with the system he may have had a chance at a lighter sentence, or even of being extradited to the U.S.

But not now...

Anyway, I'm happy about it, don't ever change Joran - keep turning the authorities against you. He needs to remain behind bars for the rest of his life, and if its in Peru and his life is short, then it couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.

Great job panthera...thanks. One thing you missed was that the original lawyer/public defender that Joran had was a FEMALE! There was a comment I believe that this female lawyer said that Joran didn't want to say anything...no surprise there. I'm sure he was appalled at getting a female lawyer. Passed her off as some cop's girlfriend in his complaint I believe.

However it is not her name that is in the official complaint apparently. That part got a little confusing. The name of another private lawyer is in there even though this woman says that she was the one who was there.

Yes, that was very confusing. I was hoping someone else here got the gist of it. Now I'll prolly watch NG again later on tonight. That really disturbed me----had an uneasy inkling this may be something serious, but I'm not up on legaleeze.

Also, JC said he was arrested in Chile. IIRC all they could do was detain him there and take care of the explusion??? I didn't think Chile could really ask him any questions pertaining to SF because the crime was committed in Peru. ???

Regarding the language the computer would be set to---I would think Dutch, not English, but since they were both bilingual would know how to surf the web easily in translations.

Just thinking ......

I really really reeeeally despise Joran Van der Sloot. Part of me wants them to put him in with the general population but then the part of me that's filled with hatred towards this scum thinks that'll end up being a quick death. Never in my life have I wanted somebody to be tortured, ever. I'd just pray & pray, submit prayer cards in church, pray at night that they change for the better, etc. When I think of what Joran's done, I just want it to be slow & torturous. How deranged is that? I don't feel sorry for him at all, not a single iota. He makes me sick.

Now, now, don't let him get to you. It just disturbs the heart and your whole system. I trust that he'll get his comeuppance and will be punished to the full extent (I pray). I know what you're saying, but anger makes the heart and soul unwell. Such is the case with JVS. I try not to think about him, and think caring thoughts for his victims and family. He doesn't deserve a minute of "our" thoughts.

Luv n' hugz,

Mel

suzihawk asked in the [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5323545&postcount=658"]previous thread[/ame] whether Hollys Coffee could be bought at a supermarket. The answer is no, the shop opened recently and are only 2 stores in Lima.
The Hollys cups may have been there previously and new, white cups could've been brought in by VDS... but I don't think so.
I have no idea what the bottle may be... I'll try to think about it...

Also, in[ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5323924&postcount=746"] this post[/ame] in the previous thread, Kimmer proposes that once she had dropped off her friends, JVS called Stephany to borrow money. I think that she definitely was planning on going to the Casino when she dropped off her friends, because she dropped off the one that lived closest to her house first and then the one that lived further away (this would've made it easier to stop in the Casino afterwards). Maybe JVS called her earlier in the evening, but I haven't seen any more details about her friends and what happened earlier that afternoon/evening other than the article from El Comercio.

I am saying this because you make a very good point, we don't know what she consumed or used or anything before she met up with Joran. I heard reports that she had been with either one or two girls at a hotel all day. I actually believe someone on this forum posted that. Maybe not true, but still we don't know what she did prior to meeting him at the casino. jmo

The article stated that SF went to a hotel in the afternoon with one of her friends and later the second friend met them there and they went out.
There is of course something fishy about going to a Hotel with your friend on a Saturday afternoon, she could've used the drug then.

I agree with you Mrs. G. Why can't he be like some other criminals we know, and just plead guilty for goodness sake. In relation, his current state reminds me of Geragos/Peterson and the boat stunt (if you remember that). They were hoping for a different outcome, instead the public flooded the boat with flowers - and they lost.

I would hope the same for JVS and these silly legal maneuvers he's pulling.

All the best,

Mel

I'm pretty sure the last thing JC asked the Dutch reporter was "do you think he killed SF" and the reporter blubbered a little but said "yes"

What Joran needs all his lawyers to be female....this includes the investigative Judge, and the 3 Panel Judges.......lets see him loose his cool when the gavel comes down on his head......G U I L T Y

That smirk will be wiped off his face but quick.

Yep a female on the 3 judge panel, build like a brick *advertiser censored*---with a mind like a steel trap. Just for him to think he could manipulate her ---doing his cute little "wiggle" routine for months and then snaffu.....she smirks and says----life bucko. Gavel down, hand him a tube of KY.

Sorry...couldn't help myself... but to think of justification.

NG: Joran saying he's the victim and he should walk free.

On phone from Holland, reporter who got interview with Joran at Castro Castro. JC asking how he got interview. He was in contact with Anita; she gave interview so she could explain why Joran was sick in his head. He asked if it was possible to visit Joran in Peru. He flew to Peru on Saturday and went to prison on Sunday; he'd already been put on visitors list. Was taken to Joran's cell; first time he'd met him. He looked amazingly relaxed, laughed, spoke 20 min. with Joran. Didn't tell reporter he killed Stephany; didn't want to talk about case, but did talk about situation in prison. He said he couldn't talk about case because of lawyer's advise. He said police put mental pressure on him to sign reports; threatened to put his head under water if he didn't sign. Bucket of water near where he was when signing, per Joran.

Hi, was Jean C, able to get anymore on this?

Hi! I haven't seen any confirmation the water bucket existed. I am hoping though that the interrogation was captured on video.....MOO

According to this article, Chile was able to deport him to Peru since he had entered Chile from Peru...guess that was the loop-hole that enabled them to expedite his transfer to Peru:

"Peru’s Interior Minister Octavio Salazar said authorities in both countries are working in harmony to have Van der Sloot extradited back to Peru.

Salazar explained that can be done in two ways: the extradition process which could take months, or expulsion, which would be toward the Peruvian border, since that was the last country boarder he crossed."

I am trying to catch up; following your interesting posts re: extradition vs. expulsion, and the requisite formal paperwork for each.

I was wondering if JVDS may have been both expelled and extradited. Whichever was more convenient. If JVDS misrepresented himself, in any questions asked of him, as he passed through the border into Chile, it could be grounds for expulsion. Example: sometimes, a border check point, requires that one answer a list of perhaps 3 questions on a small form. And that form is presented with a passport. The questions might include: Have you been arrested in the Country issuing the passport. And the like.

My point being, perhaps one could argue that he was granted entrance into Chile, based on his false representation of his background or general information. He obviously didn't tell them at the border, "hey, I killed a girl, and I am getting the hell out of there".

Right, I was expecting this of course. Thanks for the updates my cable is acting up~!!

Les Levine - that name doesn't sound Peruvian, Dutch, South American, Aruban to me. I wonder how they chose him to investigate on their behalf.
:snooty:Nope, sounds American Jewish!
