Since she was found fully clothed and is said to have resisted sexual advances, it tells me there might have been evidence from the killer on her clothing. That could well be the incriminating evidence they have, if it is true IMO. Remembering too we heard on Wed the skin found under her nail was Joran's. I don't know where that came from {maybe unconfirmed}.

I think the skin under her finger nails came from her family to news reporters. I have no reason to believe thats a lie unless it's just sensational news reporting. We have yet to see Joran's pictures in short sleeves since his arrest, no?!? His face and neck don't bare wounds in photos since his arrest. IMO.

After watching the hotel video, I am convinced this is not the first time- or even just the second time- he has done this.

No way. He is experienced at this. He has, in my opinion, killed several times before.
It's just that this time he was over-confident, and he got sloppy, and he lost control in his own hotel room.

There is no way that Natalee and Stephany are his only victims.

As I've said before, I think the NH forum should be brought back too (at least a as a read only archive), since there is bound to be useful information that crosses back and forth between the two.

The extortion case alone justifies the NH forum being brought back... there WILL be information about the NH case that comes up as a result of everything happening.

I think his father disposed of Natalie. I can't really explain what I mean about how kids act when protecting someone they love, they just get crazy. Case in point Fl boy kicked in girls head because she said something nasty about boys dead brother.
Once Joran had to protect his father, he said and did things that were bazaar. Lies on top of lies and out of control. I don't know what I mean so I will stop rambling. No attacks, thank you, imo.

I think he would be better off if he confessed right away. If he doesn't they will help him confess. He'll do better in prison if he doesn't go there will alot of injuries.

I will pray for his mother and little brothers.

Hi, There was a photo I saw of Joran's lower back, with the bare skin above his red belt that looked like it had red gouges on it.

I wish I could find it again to see what I saw. lol Did anyone else see that?

I.B., you are only seeing one video. From previous reports on these JVDS threads, he left two times after he initially entered the room with Stephany. We aren't seeing all the videos of the comings and goings of JVDS as of yet.

Thanks. I understand that he left two times. He left the first time at about 8:00 AM to go to a nearby (maybe across the street) market and got two coffees (and possibly a loaf of bread) and went back to the hotel room at about 8:40 AM. At 8:56:45 he left the hotel room for the second time as he was on his way to Chile and was carrying a backpack and another bag. He was not carrying a cup of coffee when he left the room and the hotel on his way to Chile.
Mark Fuhrman's reporting was in error. So far, neither he nor Phil Keating have reported anything that hasn't already been in the local Peru and Chile newspapers. They could have stayed home. Maybe they will come up with something new.

However, I thought that she (Freelance Peruvian Producer) was trying to convey that the Peruvians were not used to this; that the people felt their system was handling it too slowly! She mentioned a couple of days delay over something re VDS. Delay and slowness, perhaps, due to too many other important trials currently going on, problems in the jungle, not knowing how to handle something like this, etc.

Was it that LE waited 3 days before entering the crime scene? I didn't quite understand that.

But, sadly, I don't think Mr. Van der Sloot is going to be around much longer. They are going to get it outta him - both Natalee and Stephany and all of it. Then they will either put him in Lariganco (sp?) prison to fend for himself - or they'll just kill him and say he tried to escape. You watch. He's only going to be alive for as long as they want him alive, once they get what they want - he's gone.

Did anyone else notice at his Facebook page(appeared in a much earlier post in another thread) that for "body type" he shows 1'1" i.e. "one foot, one inch". WTH? Is he trying to brag about a specific body part here, or ...??? Maybe he got confused between metric measurements and feet/inches.

I just tried to find the link by searching at Facebook, because I'm not sure where it was in the JVDS threads, but it I can't find it. Maybe his page was taken down.

She was killed sometime between 5AM and 8AM on Sunday morning and not found until Wed. morning. Once she was found all the info came out pretty quick about it being him. They caught him Thur. afternoon and he had already traveled like 2500 miles.

Chile acted very quickly to "expel" him outta their country and escorted him to their border and handed him over to the Peruvian authorities.

I'm not quite convinced of this, yet. But only because of his age where Natalie is concerned. He was only 18 when she went missing and then the media spotlight was turned on. Had her case not been in the national spotlight, I have no doubt that JVDS would have had more victims than N and S. Maybe the media is good for something! LOL

The crime happened in Aruba. The FBI has no jurisdicition in Aruba. We went through this during the Natalee Holloway investigation.

During Natalee's investigation, the FBI was allowed there as an observer. Aruba played it up to make it appear they were allowing the FBI to participate, but they weren't. The FBI had a dive team there and they weren't even allowed to dive. They sat on the sidelines watching the Arubans dive. The FBI wasn't allowed to dive so they eventually left the island.

During Joran's interrogation, the FBI were there as 'observors.' They were completely FRUSTRATED.

During this sting, the crime was against a U.S. citizen, including the 'wire transfer' to Holland, so he may have been eligible for prison time in U.S., I heard 6 years, but it would HAVE TO BE the Aruban LE to arrest him in Aruba. That's where they were. The Arubans could have arrested him on 'suspcion of extortion' and held him up to 30 days. But they did NOT arrest him, just kept him under surveilance.
