JA: "And if you don't do as I say, I will rip out your jugular vein with my teeth"

mp3 the whole thang and replace the sizzle with her pumped-in newspeak:I wish Juan would play that little snippet, on a loop, in his closing.
Well I hope so, but doubt this very cowardly, and sick, individual would be willing to risk cross examination by Juan. I have never doubted that the excuse given for the 14 mitigation witnesses' refusal to testify was patently false, it is my belief that the only thing they were scared of was JM and the media getting to question their credibility and likely impeaching them.
You know when I step back and really take an objective look at this trial, one thing becomes crystal clear--there is a need in this country to have an honest and informed conversation about some very important things--1) The CJ System and victims being put on trial by those who perpetrated the crime, 2) How do we as a nation objectively confront the exploitation/abuse of DV as a defense for murder, 3) Forensically categorizing cluster B PD's as something other than Mental Illness, especially APD, NPD and BPD, 4) does the Constitutional right of a defendent to a fair trial mean at ANY AND ALL costs, and 5) how do we reclaim balance (reason and sanity) in the CJ system that is bombarded with political correctness. JMHO
The DT has to stretch this out until after that Omnibus ruling. We talked about it earlier that if JA is sentenced to death BEFORE the ruling she is dropped from the petition and her sentence stays. If she still hasn't been sentenced when a ruling is made and the Supreme Court makes a ruling that the group of petitioners cant be subject to the Death Penalty, JA cant be sentenced to death. She is the only petitioner that has already gone to trial. The rest of them are pending trial.
I think Beth Karas said as much regarding JA being sentenced before the hearing means it has no consequences for her. Then AZL said "No." and offered a reasoning but all of this happened before my nap so I don't remember her reasoning. Something about Jodi not leaving the jurisdiction of some court. Yes I'm not much help today LOL. I recommend you browse through AZL posts.

First of all, JSS is unlikely to enter a final sentencing order while the omnibus motion is pending. Second, Nurmi is 100% likely to file a bunch of motions right after Jodi is sentenced that will keep jurisdiction in the trial court for months. Third, even if Jodi is somehow sentenced and all post-trial motions resolved and the appeal time runs before the omnibus motion hearing, the appeal court will just revest jurisdiction back in the trial court for Jodi to participate in that hearing.
This is a non-issue, in other words.

I have never been so ANGRY with <modsnip> Nurmi today. This is the lowest of the low. I guess all he has is *advertiser censored* sex and more *advertiser censored* and more sex. I hope the jury can see through this fog and realize that he has shown no mitigation.
Thanks LK. Forgot about this gem. PropsBingo! This is good. Shoots down the Travis confided to me in my car story.
I agree in a sense, but isn't the Jodi Arias trial a sort of abnormality? I think that most other trials are "normal".
I really want to know who all these last minute witnesses are. :gaah:

Disturbingly close almost sensual IMO. One wonders about the relationship (real or deluded) which may have developed between the convicted murderer and her defense council after such a long period of time in consultation with each other. Appropriate professional client/DT boundary? My opinion only.
There can also be zero doubt after all this non-mitigating trash, that just as many of us have speculated, JA went to his house with the intent of murdering him immediately after sex so that he would die in a state of unrepentance.
Thanks Hope. We are all weary. Praying it will soon end...for all our sakes.
I agree. Add squeels of biblical verses interspersed with accusations. Nothing but hate with every stab and slice.I think she was definitely screaming accusations at TA during the entire attack, beginning at least by the time she had him helpless on the shower floor.
Sadly, I don't think so Nali--at least not the defense strategy, as to the Judge's decisions, yes it appears that that is abnormal. Have been doing a ton of research on women who kill and it really appears to have become a trend over the last decade.
