I know a lot of us are hoping for at least one of them to get the death penalty, however, let me share this with you: I've worked in jails and prisons across the country. Let me tell you this: inmates PRAY for death. The confinement and being forced to be around people that you wouldn't share a park bench with on the outside will get to you. You might be ALIVE inside prison walls, but you're not LIVING. You're simply existing. They pray for death to come. A lot of them welcome it with open arms because it's release. It's freedom. It's peace.

I say let the M's rot in prison.

I totally agree. I think the death penalty "feels good" on principle, but the reality is that life in prison is worse.

It's going to be interesting to see which one of these two people gets thrown under the bus by the other one first. The race is on. First one gets the deal.

Thanks M!! And welcome to WS!! Also per link...

Horry County Police won't say what they found, but they will say that through the process of elimination at the evidence recovered from the home on Friday, they know who kidnapped and murdered Heather Elvis back in December.

Thank you Tulessa :seeya:

I wonder if either of the Moorer vehicles were spotted in the indecent exposure surveillance tapes .

I wish SM had someone on his side who could read him some posts here, ones asking for him to be a man for once. He started this, in whatever way he and Heather became involved, and he can end it by revealing what happened and if it is possible, to help located her body for burial. Maybe if he knew that some people feel he was "dominated" or "bullied" (even if not true) he could see his way to confessing and going for the sympathy angle. Does he have anyone close to him? I am thinking of how Mark Hackings' brothers were the ones to get a confession regarding the murder of his wife, Lori.

As of right now, before any more info comes out, in some way, TM seems the more monstrous of the two, to many, while he appears as a weak, bumbling and submissive fool (hey, women get off or get reduced sentences for "being afraid" of the man, it should work in reverse).

Now is the time, Sidney...you are the reason Heather is dead, whether or not you killed her, or your wife killed her, or you both did. But someone will come off as the "worst" one, IMO. May as well let it be TM, if it was her idea. She does not care if Heather is found but maybe you do.

JMO

in one of the initial threads where MURDER was announced (so many posts/threads now to keep track of) I read something about TM will now have a family attorney represent her. At the time I thought WHOA-what about SM? Would they tell him that fact or could he find out about that?
It seems to me very telling that their family is protecting TM and leaving SM out to dry. Just like TM alienated SM's family.
Sounds like a controlling issue & I now wonder if SM's told he's being hung out to dry if he might not start singing a different tune?? Could that also be an LE tactic they use. I've seen previous examples of where they'll distort the truth in order to extract a confession?

WMBF Livestream News

HCPD Chief Rhodes stated that social media has been the catalyst in the HE investigation, and the reason for forming the HE Task Force was due to all the tips received due to the FindHeatherElvis Facebook Page> 50,500 Likes 4,000 Likes in the past two days Hopefully since the shattered vase of truth is partially mended, more broken chars(tips) will come in due to the upsurge in the awareness created in the past three days..

HCPD Chief Rhodes also stated that the effectiveness of social media in this case has changed the way that future investigations will be conducted by HCPD...

'Salute'! Community Awareness is the key to the Public's Safety, imo..

Well, it certainly doesn't appear that there's a history of ANY good parenting going on in either family. I mean, both of the grownups involved are murderers, so THEIR parents didn't do so great. I'm not optimistic this will be dealt with well at all with regard to the children, unless nobody in either family is granted custody.

I don't necessarily agree with this statement. The parents of T and S are
not responsible for their adult childrens actions. S and T are 38 and 41 and know right from wrong. SM was having an affair - he knew that was wrong.
Heather did not deserved to be murdered because she had an affair with a married man (assuming she knew that he was married).

The parents may be scumbags but they are not responsible for what T and S did.

I will see if I can find it but I thought I had seen this in the missing person's report that was posted. It may have been one of TE's interviews though.

WS is loading very slowly today, so I am not sure how long it will take!

Kelly

I only saw it once, in a post by a verified insider, who never posted again, as far as I know, or seldom. I looked through TE's interviews as best I could, but did not find him saying he drove the car home. Hope he didn't, but LE has used evidence found in cars years later, after multiple owners. Just watch "Cold Case Files" lol/jmo

http://www.wbtw.com/story/24804575/...-couple-in-connection-with-heather-elvis-case

"WBTW learn Monday afternoon that the couple were placed into protective custody inside the J. Reuben Long Detention Center and are being kept separate from the general population for their safety."

"On Monday afternoon, Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson said that he does not believe this will be a death penalty case because typically in a death penalty case the defendants must be charged with more than the murder."

Did he forget about the kidnapping charge ?

ETA...I guess they are going to drop the kidnapping charges since they now have evidence for the murder charges ?

maybe drop in exchange for location

Why so long for the bond hearing for the murder charge? This is only the second case I have followed and the other girl is still missing so I am new to this.

I don't know how Heathers dad and family have held it together knowing most of this.

iirc, the leo said it is related to the degree of the charge (another judge has to hear that particular case)

WS is sooo slow today! There's so many posts I'd like to "thank", but the "thank's" button is not working to well today, so thank's to all here for the various theories, thought provoking and informative posts!

Numerous members of the caison family have worn orange. I'm hoping he moorer family has more upstanding members on their side.

This case has been really hard for me to decipher fact from drama/rumors etc. I made the mistake of liking the FB and all that drama, so I could be totally wrong.

I've been following this case from the beginning and always thought it would come back to the M's. I do think TM was probably the ring leader but at some point they both knew and I hope the both die in jail. Sure SM started it, I think TM had to put a stop to it and they both planned and executed it. Bless Heather and her family, no matter what choices she made she didn't deserve this. I pray one if them will give enough info for Heather's family to give her a proper burial.

IIRC correctly, I believe it's in the interview where he says his "clock" stopped at 3:41am. I don't have time to go look, myself, and I could be COMPLETELY wrong, but I think that's where I saw something about him driving the car home. He also said he knew after 20 minutes at the scene that Heather did not disappear on her own accord.

One would assume if 1 location was near TK prolly so. Think about it-that type of establishment even escorts their girls to thier cars. I'm sure for security reasons they'd have cameras all around. And use them.
That being said it certainly seems pretty stupid for TM/SM to be going to a place right after an employee was reported missing-especially since B4 she's due for work. I'm betting those cameras got a workout! I'd hate to have to be the one reviewing those videos tho.
