Is the media covering this? I didn't see anything about the march they did last weekend but I am not local so just curious if there was anything. TIA!
I just got in an there is nobody up there. NONE. Sunday when I went by the park there were about 4-5 people and no media. I really think EF-D's former followers have seen the light for what she has become. I will give her credit for what she was doing in the beginning, but she became to be nothing about praying for Lisa.

Wow, maybe I will never post any legal facts on websleuths again. After reading the last couple of pages on here it looks like someone either took what I posted here previously and ran with it, or they did their own homework.

As I stated in all of my previous posts, I don't endorse people in front of the residence, I was just searching the legal aspect of it previously after knowing what had happened in the Casey Anthony situation in fears that it would happen in this case.

Indepmo, you aren't responsible for what these people are doing or talking about doing! You were clear on the fact that you didn't endorse this kind of thing. I don't think anyone here believes you do--anyway, I certainly don't!

Don't think local media was alerted about it or asked to cover it.

If I was organizing this event I would want to hoild it at a big public place. With lots of parking & space, like a public park. Imvite the media.
Doing it to bring attention to BL & to benefit her, I sure wouldn't want any negative feedback or feelings associated with it.
Being held just in the 3600 block of N. Lister, wouldn't bring enough, or the right kind of attention for me.

As I recall...the marches and vigils for Precious Doe in Kansas City were held in parks on Saturdays during daytime hours so more people could attend and the media were always asked to cover them. I believe parks were used as a stopping or starting point, which as you said would offer more parking.

The Precious Doe park was since created in her memory and the memory of missing, abused and unidentified children. The location is near where Erica Green's dismembered body was found.

The park isn't near Lisa's house but if your mission is awareness to missing, abuse and unidentified children....I don't know of a place more likely in Kansas City to meet the purpose and draw attention etc. etc. And there is parking in the area. I attended the 2009 park dedication.

I don't think anyone here endorsed their continuing to gather in front of the family's house, just wanted to point out that they had the legal right to do so. As I have said before, just because they can, doesn't mean they should.

The arrogance and lack of concern for the boys or anyone else in the neighborhood by this group is appalling. To use the Christmas season in this manner is an abomination.

I can't find anything on these people. Is there a website or advertisement somewhere? I'm kind of

Which thread should stuff about vigils and neighborhood groups go in?

No one was caroling tonight in front of the Lister home for what it's worth.

I sent a PM to nursebeeme and she said a new thread is ok.

I was just going off of what other posters on the board have said. Both IDM and DeAnn both agree that doing this on foot, while not impossible, would have been very difficult while on foot. DB would have the same problems carrying a 10 month old through rough terrain as any abductor would. The phones would be a bigger problem (dumping them in the river that night) because unlike an abductor, she's got to get back in the house and in bed after that vm attempt (assuming she is the one who made it) in a little over 15 minutes.

Jim Spellman took us all on a show and tell around the back yard and neighborhood last week. I would love to see him take the quickest trek to the river so we could see for ourselves the difficulty. Not doubting our locals in KC at all, I'd just love to see it done. Has he done this already and I missed it?

I hadn't heard of that. The best test would be to do it under the cover of night though, with no artificial lighting (flashlights) to simulate the conditions.

Jim Spellman DID mention the difficulty of actually reaching the river either in his tweets or on his q&a facebook or it was on one of his reports on cnn. I can't remember which one now. He was mentioning how unlikely it would be.

Do you mean on foot? Because it is like a two & a half minute drive to the river from the home (going the speed limit).

If BL was taken by car, we would likely have to discount the blob and MT sightings. The first sighting could be valid, and the perp took BL on foot for a short distance to where the car was parked.

My latest thinking is that a car was used at some point, not necessarily to dump the body in the river, but to dump it somewhere out of the area.

Yes, a very short drive.

I know this has been mentioned before, but I still don't know the answer. Do we know if DB had access to a vehicle that night?

And what is the bottom line regarding the dogs sniffing on the vehicles?

Here is what Jim Spellman tweeted at one point:

I walked along a couple miles of the river there actually i guess after consulting a map its not much more than a 1/3 of a mile to the river as the crow flies

So the river seems to be within the 'radius' and within short distance and Jim Spellman walked at least a couple miles of it

These tweets were in reference to the old casino topic way early in the search area.
