According to Mark Morris, Christina’s father, Christina and the man were parked near each other – not across the parking garage as originally thought. Plano PD did not confirm,
but said the family made the necessary prearrangements and informed the Plano and Allen police departments about their plans to picket.
Allen PD drove by several times during the picketing to make sure everything was done in a lawful and peaceful manner.
“We don’t anticipate it’s going to affect our investigation,” Tilley said. “Regardless of what people think, people need to understand that the most important thing we need to find right now is Christina and get information from somebody who knows more than they’re telling us.
“From the onset, we always investigate these things as a criminal investigation. We have not been able to obtain any evidence that a crime has been committed, so we are simply looking for a missing person. If you have no crime, you have no suspect. Until we can develop information and evidence, we won’t develop any suspects. People can have their own beliefs and their own opinions, but we don’t work under those guidelines. We have to work our cases based on evidence, and that’s it.”
