Hi Jodierenee:). Princess Lavender was said to have had perfect, straight, white teeth with no cavities. Since this is uncommon, many missing young women may be easily ruled out. Often we don't have dental info available, so if we ever find a potential match and all else matches nicely, we can turn it in as a possible match.

Did anyone notice that on that link http://www.theyaremissed.org/ncma/gallery/ncmaprofile_all.php?A200300575S
it was stated that April Reed was just 56" tall (4' 8") at 20 years old when she disappeared? 4' 8" is unusually short statured, so it is either a typo (should have been 5' 6" perhaps, or some other height?) or she is very petite.

Hello All!!
It's been awhile...so glad people are still actively pursuing this case! ALEXIS has been looked at as a "possible" in the past, however, her teeth just don't match up. The shape of the maxillary incisors (front, top four teeth) just aren't the same, and neither are the dental arches. ALEXIS has a tight parabolic shape (very curved), while Princess Lav's is a wide arch, and brighter white, for that matter. BUT...
I feel I should bring something up that may not be pleasant for some to read, so forgive me. I was considering the fact that in order for PLav to have had the facial resonstruction on her skull completed, her skull had to be macerated, or cleaned, to be blunt. That process obviously entails a significant amt of chemicals and I thought it possible that the cleaning agents would serve to "bleach" the teeth as well. So the color of PLav's teeth in the recon may be brighter than they were in life...? I ran this past a for. anthropologist and was told that could be a possibility. HOWEVER, if there were more serious stainings, calcifications, and certainly caries on or within the teeth, the chemicals wouldn't have much of an effect on them, is the summary of what I was told. PLav's teeth are absolutely beautiful and have not stains, caries, etc. Just thought I should share that w. all of you since you are such caring and interested persons and want to help solve this murder.

warmly,:)

Is anyone else spooked by the similarities in this case to the one in FL recently...at least that poor young woman has now been ID'd; may she rest in peace, and the perpetrators be punished!!

Forensic artist 90% sure it's her; missing woman's mom awaits DNA test

Cheryl Chan, The Province

Published: Wednesday, January 23, 2008

The mother of a missing Kamloops woman is clinging to hope offered by a DNA test, despite a forensic artist's opinion that her daughter's facial features match the reconstructed image of an unidentified woman found dead in Texas.

"My heart doesn't accept she's dead," said Glendene Grant, 50, from her Kamloops home yesterday. "Moms might not know everything, but if your child is not alive your heart would know."

Her daughter, 23-year old Jessie Foster, disappeared in March 2006, four months after moving to Las Vegas. Grant found out later that Jessie has been working as a prostitute for an escort service.

A photo of Jessie Foster (left), who disappeared in 2006, is compared side by side with a reconstructed image of an unidentified woman found dead in Texas several months later. An independent forensics expert, a volunteer with Project EDAN, compared the pair's facial features and is almost certain Jane Doe is Jessie. (Note: Please see link at bottom for photo comparison photo of Jessie and Princess Lavender)

The DNA test was requested by the North Las Vegas Police Department after Grant alerted them to the unsolved Texan case, which aired on America's Most Wanted on Jan. 12.

The remains of the Jane Doe, found in Kilgore, Tex. on Oct. 29, 2006, couldn't be identified because the body was severely burned. But forensic experts reconstructed her face and aired it on the crime-solving television show.

The mouth-swab DNA test kit from the Center for Human Identification at the University of North Texas should come in the mail any day now, said Grant.

I recall mentioning Jessie as a possible match to Princess Lavender quite awhile back (back in June) and also recall that some missing persons sites for Jessie mention the Jessie has caps on her teeth. I had contacted Jessie's mom Glendene and asked if Jessie did indeed have caps on her teeth and her reply was that Jessie did. Wouldn't that fact alone rule out Princess Lavender as being Jessie??

Are we positive that Princess Lavender's teeth, although being very shiny, white, and straight are her real teeth?

I would think (hope) that the experts such as the ME and the person who did the facial reconstruction on Princess Lavender would be able to tell if the teeth weren't her real teeth and had caps on them.

I remember people mentioning Jesse Foster, but I just couldn't fathom how she could end up in Kilgore TX.

I can't wait to see if it is her. The similarities are striking.

I agree that the ME and reconstructionist would know if the teeth were real, I just don't remember seeing the specifics on her teeth (other than their appearance) on Princess Lavender's UID pages anywhere. But I could be wrong, I will go check them out.

aj1020, check out some of the posts by sloane on this thread. That should help clear up some things about Princess Lavender's teeth.

This is very interesting news, and I am anxious to learn the results of the DNA test.

I am confident this could be her. I really get a strong feeling the pimp has something to do with Jessica's disappearance.

Quote from Fosters missing person website, "Jessica has beautifully straight, white teeth.

Jessie has caps on some of her teeth. I would think that if Princess Lavender had perfectly straight, natural teeth that it would rule Jessie out as being Princess Lavender.... Trying to verify for certain whether Princess Lavender's teeth were her "natural" teeth.

If I understand correctly Lindsay's family is going to have their DNA taken and tested against Princess Lavender's. At least that is the way I take it in reading an email from Glendene (Jessie Foster's mom). I am not certain though. You may want to check into that to see if indeed they are going to do that.

IMO I don't think Jessie or Lindsay are Princess Lavender. Princess Lavender was found wearing $25 jeans. I highly doubt Jessie & Lindsay would wear that type of jeans from what I have read. Also, as I've said, Jessie has caps on her teeth and I believe they would be able to tell if Princess Lavender had caps on her teeth by just a brief look at her teeth. If I had to guess I'll bet Lindsay has had work on her teeth too..that's just a hunch though.

I dont think Jessie or Lindsay are Princess Lavender either.

How about this one? She is from Texas and it says she may have dyed her hair red/blonde also - same age range/height also
