Well no his whole story isn’t logical, but he could explain that away as well. He was groggy, didn’t realize he had a phone, tied up, who knows. I’m just trying to make some sense to why he would say they drove around with him and the kids.
There's not going to be any making sense of that. JMO, because it's not true.

So this guy wakes up on the side of a busy highway and his unharmed 2 yr old child is what just sitting there and no one stopped? This guy is so full of it. Betting the car turns up somewhere close by where he started walking. Criminals are lazy. Smdh

Where is Maleah Davis? Amber Alert remains in effect for missing Houston girl

He said he walked around and asked people for help but no one would come to his aid so he walked to Sugar Land Methodist with his son. He is said to have arrived at the hospital between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.

<modsnip: redacted name of child> was not injured, according to police.

Maleah's mother, who had been flying in from Massachusetts, called someone else to pick her up from the airport when Vence didn't show up.

Houston police said traffic cameras captured the car Vence was in -- a 2011 Nissan Altima -- in Sugar Land at around 3 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle, which had recently been purchased, has temporary tags with the license plate 3092G9.

Police are not only looking for Maleah. They are also looking for the Nissan Altima, which belongs to Vence's wife, Brittany, and the blue Chevrolet crew cab pickup that the suspects were driving.

It looks like we have a consensus that the abduction story was pulled out of thin air. I think that we will hear of an arrest in the morning. The suspect should be advised to avoid a jury trial. The odds are against finding anyone who will believe his story.

What is so special about the 2010 model Chevy crew cab that he'd know the year?

The rest of the details are super vague, e.g. "It's believed the incident originated somewhere in north Houston."

Let me rearrange my bouquet of red flags right here.

Please be okay, Maleah. :(

If he has worked for Chevy, is a vehicle aficionado, or a used car salesman, then he may have been able to note things, (the grill, trim, etc...), that others wouldn't, that could clue him to the date. The average person can't though, especially with a head injury as severe as his seems to have been. Maybe they had the owner's manual laying out in sight?

C'mon folks ... you know The Rules.

At this point, nobody has been arrested or charged and named a POI/suspect. Do NOT sleuth and post information gleaned on individuals who are not officially named a POI/suspect.

While you may find his story incredulous, this man may in fact be a victim with fuzzy recollection of events. Again, he is NOT an officially named POI. You may respectfully question what he has said or what has been said about him in MSM or via LE, but you may NOT make direct accusations again him. You don't want to have to eat your words down the road. Nothing worse than re-victimizing a victim.

Also, please remember that all images require links. No link, no post.

Thread is open again. Post according to Websleuths rules and we won't have any problems.

Before you go to bed tonight, share this beautiful young girls story. Her face. She is not at home with family tonight and someone out there has the answer. Her stepfather tells police she may still be with abductors. HAVE YOU SEEN MALEAH DAVIS? #Abc13 https://abc13.com/4-year-old-may-have-been-kidnapped-by-men-in-truck-police-say/5286110/ …

MALEAH DAVIS has very important medical needs. The 4YO has had a number of brain surgeries. She has been missing nearly 3 days. And the only thing police have to go on - is her stepfathers account of 3 Hispanic men who abducted them, but later released him and his son #abc13

Mom (BB/AV) gets off flight expecting fiancé to pick her up at airport.
He doesn’t show up.
Has to call her mother for ride home.
Bad thunderstorms that evening.

Would you be worried when you arrived home and your fiancé, children and car were missing?

If the misinformation about Maleah's age came from the stepfather/mom's fiancé, then I wonder what other pretty important details regarding this medically fragile child he got wrong, both in the days when her mom was out of town and in the aftermath of whatever happened to her. He's been in her life long enough to have a 2-year-old with her mother, but he doesn't know how old she is? (If the reports saying she is 5 instead of 4 came from some other misinformed source, then I take this back).
