Is this area off the base?

Would be such a helpless feeling having a loved one go missing from a military base and not be allowed to search on the base. That base is gigantic with so much unincorporated land.

Yes Miller Springs is located a little ways away from Ft. Hood, about a 27 minute drive out.

edit : I'm at work and can't get the link or photo to work either lol

The army has now tried to create the appearance of having made a genuine effort to find Vanessa. The army claims that is has devoted 500 men to physically searching for her.
IMO this is merely a cover-up.
The facts indicate that Vanessa left the base in somebody else’s car. presumably she left her job at the Armory at the summons of a superior officer. She is no longer on the base. Her Family has been searching for her off base.
There is only one fact the Army has to ascertain - or admit to:
Who summoned her from her job at the armory and transported Vanessa Guillen off the base?

That's been my feeling this entire time. I feel like people kept assuming that I was trying to downplay the Army and their efforts, but I just had this gut feeling that it was being covered up. There HAS to be some answers that they have, that they could give us. Unfortunately, I feel like they are keeping it concealed until they can let it die down and/or pin it on someone. My heart aches for her and her family.

BBM:

I respectfully disagree.

This is the way criminal investigations work, regardless of whether they're conducted by the military or by local LEAs.

I've followed numerous missing person's cases here where LE has remained extremely tight-lipped right up until the time an arrest is made.

Evidence-gathering and analysis takes time.
I also suspect the current covid situation has also caused some of the evidence processing to take longer.

CID really doesn't owe the public anything at all right now.
It's not their job to satisfy the public's curiosity as to the case progress.

Their job is to determine what happened to VG, and if she has become the victim of foul play, to ensure the guilty party is brought to justice.

To that end, they'll do what they have to do to protect the integrity of their investigation.

I have every confidence they're doing their due diligence to determine who is responsible for VG's disappearance, and what exactly happened to her.

JMO.

Interviewer: [UI] To me [UI]… Whenever there is a person who has a void in his heart, that has a loss of a person, because it hurts. And more if we are Latino, I think we should support each other and always be together so we can try to find alternatives and solutions to the problems we may have.
Friends, we have followed this information about the soldier Vanessa Guillén who was reported missing since April 22. Last seen in the parking lot of her regional engineering squad headquarters in Fort Hood, nothing’s been known since. We have seen her sister Mayra who has been giving some information desperate [SIC] to people, obviously because she is nowhere to be found.
There are the scenes we have put on all the social networks to be able to have the image, which in case suddenly is not within the base for someone to recognize it and also giving the information phones to be able to know a little more about her.
I am infinitely grateful today to have, friend or friend of ours, to have the mother of Vanessa Guillen that we have with us precisely in communication from her home and to whom I welcome.
Mrs Guillén greetings, very good morning. How are you?

[01:31]

Gloria: Good morning, greetings too. As you can see, I am very desperate, sad and distressed since April 22, it’s been 40 days since my daughter disappeared.

Interviewer: Yes, right. Mrs Guillén, it is something incredible, I still do not fit in the mind that [UI] in the United States. If you tell me: "It happened in a Mexican town, it happened in a town of Salvador, it happened in a town of… [UI]". So many things we grew up with as Latinos, but in the United States and on a military base, in particular, I can’t understand this situation, and that’s why the idea is to push and get to the end and know that they give you information about where your daughter might be. How can she disappear on a military base? I want to know what the authorities have told you or to your daughter Mayra, what’s the latest we have of them as information?

[02:28]

Gloria: To me… exactly, exactly. They have not been told me anything. They go and the detectives tell me: "We continue in the same madam, in the search, we search here, we search there". But we’re being helped by another detective outside the base to investigate and it turns out that I was told three lies by the detectives who are investigating inside the base. They told me three lies because my daughter was never missing from the parking lot, no, she didn’t disappear from the military base parking lot, she disappeared from the gun building where they sent her for a report, from where she disappeared, from the weapons building, because there’s all her stuff, her wallet, her car keys, her credit cards, it’s all there where she was sent for the report.

[03:22]

Interviewer: Would it be possible for someone to have taken her, transported her from the parking lot [UI]… that transport to that place?

Gloria: Look, let me explain.

Interviewer: Go on.

Gloria: She was in the office where they sent her, "go over there, go over here," the office she was in is ten steps from the weapons building, ten steps, ten steps. They say, "Go get this report, go get this gun number". First before she goes to that building she has to go to headquarters to get the keys to open that lock, open that lock, put a confirmation number that only two or three people have it from that building besides the superiors; but of those who are there working, only three people, open, enter. I don’t know, all her stuff’s in there. They say they saw her, there are no cameras, no cameras in the parking lot, why do I have to believe them if I know it’s not true? She disappeared from inside that building, she disappeared from there. Because three months earlier she told me this… I found her weird, strange, confused, thoughtful, unable to sleep. "What do you have daughter, what do you have?" "Nothing mommy, nothing" "mija, I know you very well". I know my daughter very well, perfect. What do you have daughter? Nothing mommy, nothing? And she dared to say to me: "Mommy, I want to talk to you" "Tell me daughter". Here where I am sitting talking to you, here my daughter was sitting with me talking. "Tell me my love, what’s happening to you?" She says, "Mommy, I’m being sexually harassed by a sergeant, he’s stalking me and following me where I run". Because she’s athletic, she runs too. "He follows me to the field where I run, follow me there," and I said, "Report him, report him immediately to that wretch," she said, "Mommy, several have already reported him and don’t believe them, don’t believe them, how do you want me to go too? No one will believe me," and I said, "No, daughter, how can they not believe you? They have to believe you," "What if they don’t believe me, Mommy?" I said, "Then tell me the names and I’ll go, tell me the name and I’ll go. I go and report him,” she said, "Mommy no, I can get you in trouble, they’ll hurt you, because if something happens there, then he sends people to hurt people," “How?", she says: "There’s a lot of evil on that base, a lot of gang, a lot of evil on that base," "So what are we going to do, daughter?" She says, "Let me go, Mommy, I’ll manage on my own, I can do it alone", "No, daughter, you can’t do it alone. Quit and come home," “I can’t, Mommy, I signed for my country, to defend my country, I defend my country". Oh! She made me cry so much, you can’t imagine. She said, "I can". It’s been three weeks and look what happened. I said, "My God, why didn’t my daughter give me the name of that wretch?" Look what happened.
They tell pure lies. That is not true, that my daughter disappeared from there. Why did they move her keys, her wallet, her… everything she left in the weapons building? Who moved it? They were not allowed to move it. They moved it to her room, her barracks. It is not true, pure lies, there is pure corruption on that basis, pure corruption. More than two hundred soldiers disappeared from 2016 to date. Where are their mothers? Where are mothers who do not advocate for their children? I am advocating for mine because she is my life, that girl is my life. I am advocating for her and for her help, for God’s sake! Let justice be done, let them find my daughter, help me look for her.

[07:13]

Interviewer: Mrs Gloria, is there a lawyer who represented you? Is there a lawyer who’s helping you so you can have legal authority in this search for your daughter Vanessa?

Gloria: That’s what we’re doing, trying to find lawyers because none of them want to take the case. Do you understand me? There has to be a retired lawyer, a retired veteran lawyer who has known the military base, who has known what it is to be military, because what is military, remains military, so they say when one goes, "what is military, remains military". Sure, because it’s all corruption.

Interviewer: Of course.

Gloria: Pure corruption, and that can’t be because my daughter got involved in defending the homeland, defending all of us, what are we doing? As I told the news, What are we doing? You’re not doing anything at that military base, what are they looking for? All lies, they’re not looking for my daughter, they put this in. Detectives are in the same, they all lie. What are they hiding? What did they do to my daughter? Who has my daughter? What are they doing there so badly that they don’t want people to know?
The organization that’s helping me, the retired veterans who offered to help me look for my daughter inside, someone I trust, the general didn’t pay attention to me when I said, "Close that base until my daughter is found." Because a few years ago the base was shut down when a soldier was lost and was found that same day, and the base was shut down, investigate well everything that is happening on that base is rubbish, they are vermin, they are cowards, why are they doing that to my daughter? I don’t understand what happened there.

[08:44]

Interviewer: You were telling me, you had had contact with your daughter on the phone, I imagine, when she was telling you on the phone that she was being sexually harassed by some superior, some person who was out there. How often did you have contact with your daughter? Was it by phone, when you spoke to her?

Gloria: She came every Friday afternoon, every Friday afternoon.

Interviewer: Okay, yes.

Gloria: Then she would come and sit, "How do you feel, daughter?" We’d talk for a while.

Interviewer: She was afraid and told you that?

Gloria: Yes, yes. She took a bath, ate, and left with her fiancé, because she’s getting married, she has her fiancé and they’re getting married the next year with the will of God, God ahead, she has her fiancé.

Interviewer: Wow! Yes, ma'am.

Gloria: Here where I’m sitting I…

Interviewer: Perfect. Is that when she told you there was someone stalking her?

Gloria: Yes, she talked to me. There’s a sergeant…

Interviewer: Is that when someone stalks her?

[09:37]

Gloria: A sergeant, he’s not a soldier, he’s a sergeant. The sergeant who sends them, because there are five sergeants in command who send her, five, it looks like five sergeants. Of those five sergeants, which one is it? Why haven’t they investigated them? Why aren’t their phones taken away? Why aren’t their phones tapped? They haven’t done anything, they haven’t been stripped of their rank, they’ve got them there, I know why I… They’ve got them there. I don’t understand what’s going on, so I’m asking you for God’s sake, Raul, to help me, to let the public know what’s going on.
I’ve done two marches, very few people have supported me. So this gentleman that was just murdered, I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry for his wife, for his family, why do you join? Why are they so united? We are the same race, we are all, we are all equal, for God we are all equal, we are all equal. I beg you publicly, to help me, to help me carry out peaceful marches, because we have made peaceful marches without harming third parties, we have not harmed anyone. Peaceful marches to help me advocate to know where my daughter is, what did they do to my daughter? If she’s a soldier who joined the army to defend the fatherland.
Now after this, no young man is going to want to enroll out of fear, for all that is known, for fear. Let the president say, let the governor say, let the senators say, Who’s going to register? Who’s going to defend the fatherland now? Who? Because no one will want to anymore. This is so unsettling. That poor mother. It must be torture living like this. I feel like I’d be screaming from the tops of the mountains to get it all out.

It seems that if this is all really true, then in fact, they may be doing a coverup. My reason for this opinion, is that she clearly said tons of people have complained about him, but they either didn’t believe them(the women), or they just turned a blind eye. Now that he may have done this to her, they will have A LOT of explaining to do.

i hope if they are still there, that they come forward and give any info. I can’t stop praying for her.

Edit** I really wish she would've given her mom his name. :'(

And I am just seeing the video. The mother says Vanessa tells her in her dreams that she's on the base. Oh my heart can't take this.

Shocking!, my heart goes out to that mother. God bless her. and all the other mothers and families of the many missing soldiers from that base...there are many.

I suspect V may have become aware of some nefarious activities on the base.

The things she told her mom regarding dangerous sergeants, gangs, people being sent out to harm families...alot of evil....
combined with the abnormal numbers of missing soldiers and lack of real media coverage....

paints a very dark picture to me.

[11:39]

Interviewer: They’re military bases and we have to understand that Mrs Gloria, and I will understand perfectly well the situation you feel for your daughter and the empathy we feel for this is very important, because if George Floyd died, when at least we saw that he died, and we watched physically there’s a video. The anguish for you is greater because you don’t know what happened.

[12:03]

Gloria: [UI]

Interviewer: [UI]… Not knowing and being in anguish, and your life on a thread, not knowing "What happened to my daughter Vanessa? What tell your mother’s heart?

Gloria: My mother’s heart, as I am so close to my daughter, that all the people who know me know my union with that girl, physically resembles… Of all my six children, physically she looks more like me, even in the ways, in the body, because thanks to my parents I am very strong, she is also very athletic, she is very athletic. She in my heart says to me: "Mommy, I’m here at the base", she shouts in my dreams, "Mommy help me, help me, don’t go, here I am, help me". I know that my daughter is there because I have dreamed it many times, and I know, I have dreamed many times to my daughter and I know, because my mother’s heart, as I am so united with her, such a bond [UI]. I know what she’s going through because I know her and I know the bond I have with that girl. I said, "I know my daughter was kidnapped by a sergeant or someone above" Because my daughter, and I’m not discriminating against the [UI], my daughter is very beautiful. My daughter…My God! My daughter… I know because I have been told people close to the base who are in there in anonymous, their daughter was harassed for being so beautiful. I say: "Oh, my God! But why?" When she left to South Carolina, everything was happy, when she went to Virginia she came happy, said: "Mommy, I loved it", arrived at that military base and three months later my daughter was not my daughter, my daughter changed too much. "What happen to you?" My daughter changed too much, my God of my life! I do not discriminate against the… We are all equal but my daughter… Is it a crime to be beautiful and get into a military base? Why was she so harassed by those people?
I’m counting on you to help me, on research, and on Latino artists coming together for this cause, because she stepped in to defend the homeland, to help me, to join, for God’s sake! Let’s unite, unite in peaceful marches in response to Where is my daughter? What happened to her? Why is all this happening at that military base? Let everything be investigated, because it is not just me, there are many mothers of so many soldiers, so many soldiers have been lost, where are those soldiers? Where are all those poor young people who disappeared? Nobody gives reason, I do. There’s a reason my father God made this happen, because you have to investigate, you have to know the truth, where is my daughter? Where are all those poor soldiers who disappeared? Because they joined the army for the fatherland, to save their homeland, who goes to war? They.
That military base is war expert, it’s the one that brought down Bin Laden, that military base, the largest in the world, the Fort Hood, that military base is expert in wars for that reason there are no cameras, there are cameras only in the entrance, "How?" "There are no cameras because we are experts here" So what happened? What are they going to do if a terrorist comes in? That’s what I’ve always wondered, I ask the audience, what are they going to do? No, my God! They hide a lot of things. All I want is my daughter back, I want my daughter in my arms, and I want her alive; just like she came in, I want her back, and they can keep their base, but I want my daughter. I want my baby back because I’m so desperate, I don’t sleep anymore, it’s forty days, I know that my husband sees me in agony and I pray to my father God, asking the virgin "Oh my God, give me my daughter, leave my life alive because this is so painful, I couldn’t bear it".

[15:44]

Interviewer: I understand, I understand, ma'am, that’s why in our media… I just wanted to give you this space so that people would know more about this case which is completely unfair, no matter what kind of authority it is, Police, military, there’s definitely a mother suffering right now because they’re keeping her on edge not knowing where her daughter’s whereabouts are, who she thinks is alive, and hopefully she’s still at this Fort Hood military base.

Gloria: God willing.

This is so sad, i just finished watching a documentary of LaVena Johnson, she was found dead on base and they tried to cover up her murder saying she committed suicide.

it was horrible, Lavena was beat and raped then shot. They had her family jumping thru loops with lies they even glued her gloves to her hands. Its horrible!

this makes me upset, they will lie to this mother and wont give her any type of information, how can they get away with these crimes!

this has to be known, women have to know ut isnt safe joining these places to serve your country, they are not safe!!

there needs to be an awareness on these types of circumstances! I know there is no hope with this situation but im praying the mother finds answers and someone will be held accountable!

i pray!

Interviewer: This message, Mrs. Guillén, is probably going to become congressmen, there is probably a chance to go to congressmen, to go to bigger personalities who can help us. What message can you tell these people that they could reach out to us to investigate this further?

[16:34]

Gloria: As I told them the other day, I ask the governor, the congressmen, the president, if this gets to the president, to help me because they are the ones who have [UI]… Only the governor and the president can get in to investigate, to help me for the love of God, because my daughter went for the fatherland, to defend the fatherland, because after this tell me if you want to register soldiers, young people to the militia and the army? No. So you need to look into that, because this isn’t going to end well, you’re not going to want to enroll young people anymore, for God’s sake, the governor, the president, the congressmen, because I asked some congressmen here in Houston who is Sylvia Garcia, she promised to help me, she didn’t answer my calls, she promised to help me, and she just sent me a letter that was sent to her by the military base, only lies. I said to her: “Only lies.” I want to go to the military base with them, and a soldier who is willing to help me, who is retired because she retired for sexual harassment, she is willing to mess with me at the military base and look at all those places she says they have hidden, she says: "I’m going to help you, ma'am, but let someone of importance come with us to protect us from danger," she says, "I’ll help you". Because they already contacted me, I’ve already been contacted by these sexually harassed girls who quit, quit that base, they say, "There’s a lot of evil, a lot of sexual harassment".
So, I’m asking those congressmen, the governor, the president himself to help because it’s his country. I wasn’t born here, but my children were all born here, it’s your country, you have to defend your country, what’s going on there? To help me investigate and that [UI]… that they look for, that they investigate how she was in the schools, a lot of 1oo, many trophies, athletic, she in the Chavez is very loved, her laces. There was never a problem with that girl at all, she never had bad behavior, she helped who needed it. "Mommy who wants the [UI] lady", "Mommy, does your mom need money for Mexico?" She earned very little, she in the [UI] worked. "Mommy, do your sisters need this?" Oh! I just remember that and I want to die of pain.

[18:58]

Interviewer: I understand it, I understand it, Mrs. Gloria. I think it breaks our hearts to everyone. This message will try to get back to the congressmen, back to Governor Greg Abbott, and the right people to help you. We will try to do everything possible, count on us to be able to do everything possible to reach the last instances and to be able to find your daughter. Let’s all pray, look for this opportunity to find Vanessa, 20 years old, a girl of Latin-Mexican descent.

[19:35]

Gloria: Yes, yes.

Interviewer: Last time they told the lady [UI]… in the parking lot of her barracks at the Fort Hood military base, however, everything indicates that she was in the weapons building there.

Gloria: Yes, that is correct.

Interviewer: There’s no answer, there’s nothing. Since May 22, a month and ten days since the disappearance of this 20-year-old girl and we’re all looking for an answer, where is Vanessa Guillén?

Gloria: Where’s my daughter? Where’s my Vanessa?

[20:04]

Interviewer: This is your space ma'am, and anything we will be communicating with you, and anything, please let us know, we are to serve you as well.

Gloria: Yes, that’s very good. Thank you very much, God bless you and I hope you can help me. I don’t know if we’re going to do a march on the Austin capitol, I don’t know what day, because the organization that’s helping me doesn’t have the date, but for God’s sake, follow our social media and help me sign that petition we’re asking for on social media, It’s a petition for the white house that’s a hundred thousand signatures, very few signatures, help me sign that petition, it’s there in [CS].

Interviewer: What is it? Do you have the information here at hand?

Gloria: Which one is Mayra?

Mayra: It is on Facebook: “Find Vanessa Guillén”.

Gloria: It is on Facebook: “Find Vanessa Guillén”, “find Vanessa Guillén”, there is that request.

Interviewer: On Vanessa Guillén’s Facebook page. Vanessa Guillén’s fan-page.

Gloria: For God’s sake! Help me sign that petition, it costs you nothing, help me for God’s sake.

[21:03]

Interviewer: Absolutely! of course.

Gloria: Yes, for love… We are all children of God, we are all equal.

Interviewer: we will do so.

Gloria: We’re all the same to God.

Interviewer: We will do so and we have to unite too. Here it does not matter race, language, color, nationality. It is the life of a human being of 20 years old, who should be… When I at least had the right information, here I am having the information from the Facebook page for you to go and sign, is the page find Vanessa Guillén, find Vanessa Guillén, Vanessa with double S, Guillén, find Vanessa Guillén, again, find Vanessa Guillén, this is on Facebook. Go and sign that petition please, together let us work together so that this mother knows where your daughter is. Madam, I send you a hug [UI].

[22:01]

Gloria: [UI]… God bless you. Please help me, let this go public, go viral, find my daughter.

Interview

Shocking!, my heart goes out to that mother. God bless her. and all the other mothers and families of the many missing soldiers from that base...there are many.

I suspect V may have become aware of some nefarious activities on the base.

The things she told her mom regarding dangerous sergeants, gangs, people being sent out to harm families...alot of evil....
combined with the abnormal numbers of missing soldiers and lack of real media coverage....

paints a very dark picture to me.

Yes... everything she is saying matches what people have been saying for years. I recently deleted my Twitter, but on her twitter profile, she had tweeted something saying “it always comes from the ones you least expect it”..,, it makes me wonder if she was referring to the sexual harassment from a superior. :/

Now we have confirmation on why the sister was so quick to sound the alarm when she didn’t respond for a few hours.

Another thing, she says there are 5 sgt’s that work with her. That’s a pretty narrow list of suspects, IMO.

So many things happen to women while serving in the military. She was pretty, and tiny. Definitely doesnt make sense to take a phone but leave keys behind. I dont know anything about military bases, isn't it a bold move to abduct someone from a base???

Maybe her phone was on her person so she would not have had to go looking for it to take with her.
