There is, in Hastings. The searches on Rock Lane last week were at the Three Oaks end not the Hastings end (not sure about today but The Argus is in Brighton so may refer to it as Hastings in either case I guess).

POLICE say the body of a missing mother-of-two has still not been found - after a man was charged with her murder.

It comes as dozens of police officers in forensic suits were pictured searching Rock Lane, Hastings this afternoon.

It is thought that the search is related to the disappearance of Alexandra Morgan.

The Argus contacted Kent Police, who are leading the investigation into the 34-year-old’s disappearance, who said a body had not been found.

The force has now confirmed that Ms Morgan’s car, a white Mini Cooper, has been recovered by officers.

Kent Police officers, with support of Sussex Police, have been searching three locations in the Hastings and St Leonards-on-Sea area, and one in Sevenoaks Weald, Kent.

And officers wearing forensic suits, gloves and masks were spotted in Hastings this afternoon.

Images taken from the scene show several police vans parked along the road, as officers gathered around.

This gives a bit of information about the landscape around Rock lane. https://www.hastings.gov.uk/content..._Study_Area_Landscape_Assessment_Oct_2013.pdf
Quote: 'The area is bounded by Ivyhouse Lane to the west, Rock Lane to the east and Footpath 47 which crosses the area to the north and links these two lanes. The area is formed of a valley which extends between two well defined ridges. In the bottom of the valley is a wooded ghyll which dominates its character. The valley bottom is occupied by the south coast railway which emerges from a tunnel half way across the Study Area and continues north in a deep cutting'.

POLICE searching for missing mum-of-two Alexandra Morgan have finally found her car - but there is still no sign of her.

The 34-year-old was last seen at a petrol station near Cranbrook, Kent, more than two weeks ago, and a man has since been charged with her murder.

Cops launched a frantic hunt for her white Mini Cooper, believed to be "key to establishing her whereabouts".

It had been seen making journeys between her home in Sissinghurst, Kent, and towards the Hastings area of East Sussex on November 14 and 15.

But despite locating the missing vehicle, detectives have not yet found Ms Morgan.

They have, however, charged 40-year-old Mark Brown with murder.

He appeared at Lewes Crown Court on November 30, but has not yet entered a plea.

Forensic police officers have spent the morning searching the house of a missing mum.

Alexandra Morgan, of The Common, between Sissinghurst and Cranbrook, disappeared on November 14 and a man has been charged with her murder.

Dozens of officers in white overalls were seen going in and out of the home, which is just metres away from the Shell garage, where she was last seen on Remembrance Sunday.

Police stood and talked for a couple of minutes at the end of the drive, where a single bouquet of flowers has been laid, before entering the house.

I agree @Luwin . They’re not busy lanes but they are used. The entrance to where they searched today is opposite the metal/car breakers you mentioned by the way, so you seem to be spot on.

I have heard of 3 locations near Hastings being searched but I think the media has listed more because of using different reference points (eg Near Hastings, near Three Oaks, near Westfield, off Rock Lane, etc). I am very much hoping Alexandra is not in separate places* and that it is just a reporting thing.

*Sorry to raise that horror.

Police have not revealed where they found the 34-year-old’s white Mini Cooper.

Dozens of officers, some in white forensic suits, are searching a rural area around Rock Lane, near Three Oaks, north of Hastings.

They have been searching woodland and streams, and a nearby railway line.

Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, leading the murder investigation, said enquiries to locate Alexandra’s body “remain ongoing”.

They are also carrying out searches in three other locations - one in the St Leonards area, another near Westfield, six miles north of Hastings, and one in Sevenoaks Weald, Kent.

Just a thought

Could LE be focusing the search in those specific areas because of cell site data of the defendants mobile phone being around those locations in between the time frames?

Could the vehicle of been located at the scrap yard close to where LE are searching? If correct could LE be thinking that the defendant left the victim close to where the vehicle was found due to having to dump the vehicle afterwards?

Apologies if anything in here isn't allowed i am fairly new to websleuths
