I did a Google search for "mumsnet falling asleep in the afternoon" as we were told Helen did, but all the results I found were just about toddlers taking afternoon naps. I'm curious to know what she was looking for on there.

You wouldn't find it if she posted in the general chat section, because posts there are deleted after three months. It's one of the most read parts of the forum, so people often post there as there's more chance of replies.

Another thing about Mumsnet is that members can change their usernames as often as they like. This is so that people can protect their anonymity if they feel they've given away too many personal details.

I think it would have turned up in her history though if she'd have posted on there rather than just googled wouldn't it?

In her ipad, you mean? Perhaps, but what I meant was that it's probably fruitless trying to find her posts on MN as they are likely to have been routinely deleted from the site long before now.

Bank account changes made on on Stewart's computer

“He flatly denies that he altered Helen’s Barclays account, and that Helen must have done it. “But he’s asleep in the chair, in front of the computer. “So has she decided to do the decorations and changed the standing order sitting on his lap, on his computer? “The changes to the standing order are made on his computer, not hers. “His windows 10 machine. When that windows 10 machine is examined, the browsing history that would have showed Barclays access is gone. “There comes a limit to the idea of coincidence, doesn’t there? “The activity logs in the computer have disappeared as well. It may be that Windows 10 has disposed of the activity itself. “A horrible coincidence if that’s the case. “Of course you know Stewart is a computer engineer, he knows about computers.”

Ah,I get it, I was forgetting the lap-sitting bit and thinking he meant she was asleep in IS's account, but I've got tied up in knots, which Strimmer is generally cutting through with great sharpness. Sorry, another dunce's cap required.

Not as big as the one IS has now though...

I thought there was a suggestion late yesterday that a computer/techie chap may provide further evidence?
Was that just a rumour?

Sorry but what pathetic lives they must be leading to do that. I mean seriously, they are more upset about this forum than the fact a member cold bloodedly planned and carried out a murder of another much loved member.

They should be hoping and praying instead for justice.

Glad not to be a member so that they don't have the spiteful pleasure of blocking me.

Indeed-you are probably most vulnerable when you think you're not anymore.

Although I don't think he's in any physical danger, my OH's best friend was propositioned by the woman running a bereavement course, within two months of his wife's death. Since then they have been living together, buying a new house, have alienated his sons and, surprise, she seems to have long term financial problems and a difficult (apparently ) ex partner. The friend seems to be forking out money and going to the police station for this lady who presented herself in the light of being a last chance for him.

Got to love the Strimmer! I've been reading through all the posts and updates during lunch and playing bingo ticking off all the points I wanted/expected Trimmer to make. Well what can I say..? HOUSE!!!!!!!!!
This afternoon I'm going to play Bull-*advertiser censored* bingo as the defence auditions for the Franz Kafka memorial prize for best Improv Comedy Act 2017.

Now...where's me Dobber?

Sounds as though it was just Defence having to get certain sections of the book copied in order to give to Jury to put in their bundles ...........all that detective research yesterday for nothing ......sigh

I was awake until 4.30 this morning - re-reading Helen's book in search of what may be presented to the Jury. Another sigh from me.

Probably right about posting. I think the site was hacked May 16 and we all had to change passwords (I did some posting when my son was first ill and being diagnosed but later used a more specialist site for young people with ME)

The way it's going so far does anyone else think that defence will complete this afternoon and leave the whole of tomorrow for the judge's summing up?

I had hoped for judge's summing up over by lunch (or just after), jury out/back (in ten minutes !!) then 2 long days for IS to contemplate the probable length of his sentence to be given Monday ?

Wow' Trimmer's closing arguments were brilliant and true. I have the confidence without even hearing the Defence's closing, to predict a unanimous 'Gulty' verdict from the Jurors.
Thank you Alice for the updates and all the Websleuths for your clever, insightful websleuthing throughout the trial.
Pips, had a lump in my throat reading your post - both you and Hunkerdown are the ultimate of what true friends should be and are...

I may be wrong but I don't think The Strimmer has finished yet ... I am expecting a good sign off line from him, to fix in the Jury's heads about what a scheming, evil person IS is..

plus there was something else scheduled for Court One today - after 3.30pm - so Mr Defence may not get his chance until tomorrow ( bet he can't wait  )

RB you have such a wonderful turn of phrase. The only point missing for me so far is the cadaver hit. Maybe Trimmer is going to use that as the last nail in his coffin, so to speak.

Worth a repeat - words so carefully chosen

Helen Bailey murder trial: "Your own garage, a deep well full of excrement & gravity assisted, is exactly that, a good place to hide a body"

I am thinking that IS could have generalised the name of the mums net site. It's a well known one that probably just came to mind rather than knowing for sure. IMO I don't think IS would be interested enough in HB's interest enough to know for certain. Unless he was delving when he wanted to delete history of course.

The case resumes

The case has been called back on. There is now one further agreed fact in the case to be read to jurors.

The agreed fact is: “DS Graham Paul examined Helen Bailey’s iPad for the term zopiclone and myasthenia gravis.

“He also searched for reductions of these terms. None of the terms could be found in the searches on the device.

“The internet search history of the device dated March 30 and April 19.”

I don't see how that agreed fact helps ?

IS evidence said Helen took the Zopiclone pack from him immediately and searched on her Ipad....this was January 25
