I've just done a bit of googling and found 3 cases in the UK where there have been convictions of manslaughter where the cause of death has been strangulation, so we will have to agree to disagree that it is an automatic murder charge.

So am I right in thinking that the route I have highlighted in blue is where cctv is of the lad and roughly where the body was discovered?

Ok as regards to cctv footage , Lindsay and the lad will have been picked up in MOO several times on the way to wherever they were heading as it’s impossible not to be these days either by a bus , home system , dash cam and street surveillance etc, however LE have only chosen to make the two clips available to the public. They in MOO have only got relevance for the public appeal and to get info to dot the i’s and cross the t’s. I personally think the footage shared was the last time she was picked up on camera but certainly not the first. MOO
Was the CCTV of Lindsay near the pub?

According to my research, the definition of compression of the neck, is strangulation.

In the majority of cases it is. But there are also rare cases where it has been caused by other reasons (trapped between bed railings, and another trapped between floor panels when floor collapsed, to name a couple).

es on Whinney hill road at the Bottom of bolton avenue you turn left visible on google maps

Thank you, I just found it on google maps. If he does happen to live there it is very unlikely he took her there. MOO

Large police presence outside Whittaker’s pub today (14:00hrs Uk time). Many vans and cars parked outside, they’ve also cordoned off the entrance to the pub car park with beer barrels and chains.
Beyond that into the car park there’s is a large white dog unit police van parked near to the rear of the pub.
Searches obviously continuing in the local vicinity.

Yes that’s the assumed route for me.
Then again I don’t know what would be considered more discreet that route passed the houses or dragging the bin all the route thro the cemetery. Which looks more normal- probably none. One small thing struck me about Whitewell is that it looks unadopted and the road surface isn’t great so pulling a bin along here would have been hard work if it was incredibly heavy, not to mention noisy.

Yes. The appeal from LE about the boy with the blue bin said he turned down Whitewell Rd towards the cemetery.

"Police say that after he passes this camera the man turns down Whitewell Road towards the cemetery."

Wow, I'm really surprised that link is still working that shows his face in the picture (although the video on the link didn't work for me, I can still see his picture clearly). I thought that would of been removed as soon as he was arrested, due to his age?

MOO is that is where this sad case started and Lindsay’s life ended......the blue tinned roof shed may become very relevant to the case....MOO

I know, right? So much for keeping the suspect's identity a secret. IMO

I’m not sure but from it’s closeness to the last sighting, I’m thinking it would have been the start point of the search .MOO

Video is still available on some internet sites .

MOO I would tend to agree sadly. LE have obviously enough evidence to pass the CPS threshold to charge him with murder and are still searching in the vicinity of where she was last seen 3 weeks later

This is all JMO, but I am struggling to see why her body would have been taken away from the area between Burnley Rd and the COPPICE (making the assumption that was where the crime occurred), along a busy road and then left in a relatively busy, public area, the cemetery.

I don't know the area, but looking on Google Maps, there look to be some overgrown and isolated bits of land, and possibly a fishing pond of some sort, which I would have thought more 'suitable'. Unless the area has a definite tie to the perpetrator(s) and they were trying to avoid this. MOO.
