Sources privy to the development told ARY News that police have arrested the father, stepmother and uncle of British girl Sara Sharif from Azad Kashmir after a month-long manhunt.

However, the Jhelum police have denied arrests of trio in the murder case.

That is interesting. I had wondered why none of the British media had not mentioned anything ,even that a press conference was due to be held later today in Pakistan.
 
Poor kids though; a little over a month ago they were living a fairly normal British life, and now they're stuck in a Pakistani orphanage (let's be honest, that's what it is) with a murdered sister and parents who have f*cked off to save their own skin.

Even assuming they have the language skills to communicate their needs, there's no guarantee that they will have their needs met.

I hope they are returned to the UK, but it's unclear if extended family members will be willing and deemed suitable to look after them via a kinship care arrangement, and in the event that they go into foster care the chances are that they will be split up - good luck finding a foster carer with five spare bedrooms.

None of the options are great for the kids right now, it's just that some are less awful than others.

I agree with everything you said except that it’s doubtful they were living a fairly normal life with the abuse that was going on around them - even if it wasn’t directed at them, although for all we know they could have been directly affected too. These poor children have had a pretty rough time so far, and like you say none of the options are great right now. :(

With the sister being tortured, it was certainly NOT a normal life for the siblings :(

Wherever they are now, they are in a much better place.

Completely agree. They are all, bar one, old enough to have seen and heard things. And even for the youngest, atmosphere can be absorbed even when actions might not be totally understood.

Whatever their options right now, at least they are no longer living in an abusive household.

BBC news 24 has just reported the three adults have left Pakistan for Dubai, and are booked onto a flight from Dubai due to land at Gatwick this evening ...

When this story broke, I honestly didn’t believe the Pakistani police would fully cooperate. They have done an amazing job, hats off.

Sara Sharif: Adults sought over 10-year-old's death returning to UK​


Three adults who police want to speak to over the death of 10-year-old Sara Sharif are returning to the UK from Pakistan.

Urfan Sharif, Beinash Batool and Faisal Malik, who were living in Woking, Surrey, with Sara before she died, are due to land later on Wednesday.

Surrey Police said they wanted to speak to the trio after they left the UK following Sara's death last month.
Post-mortem tests found Sara sustained "multiple and extensive injuries".

Sara's father, his wife and his brother are booked on a flight landing at London Gatwick tonight, having changed in Dubai.
They had flown to Dubai on a plane from an airport at Sialkot, near Islamabad, early Wednesday morning.

The five children who travelled with the three adults to Pakistan remain in a government care facility in the country.
Sara's body was found at her home in Woking on 10 August.
