Do you think they were romantically involved? The media so far hasn't really implied that. However, it's not out of the question IMO. I'm trying to think of some cases in the past where the victim was a result of an "accident" of some sort; the suspect panicked, tried to hide the body (dismemberment/disposal,) and then getting all evidence out of their apartment/house. Or maybe I just watch too much ID Channel.

BBM: Here's such a case. He was not charged with murder.

Action News cameras were the only ones in court as 52-year-old James Thomas Bommer was charged with one count of dismembering and mutilating a dead body and one count of obstruction of justice.

Police say Bommer told them he and 32-year-old Pam Prpich were using fentanyl to get high when he found her dead from an overdose. He told police he then panicked and cut up her body to hide her death.

Police began investigating her death after her brother found parts of her body in a suitcase in a creek near her home on August 18. They say Bommer told them he disposed of her limbs in a dumpster. Police say they found other remains in his closet.

THANK YOU! Yes, that's exactly what I mean. I know Cornell is being charged with 2nd degree, so it's hard to say what the police could have found in his apartment.

BUT.....

As Steelman mentioned before (and I hate discussing it,) if a BDSM encounter became too dangerous, the safe word wasn't heard, etc. there could have been something come from that. That is, IF they were romantically involved. This could be the case if he was charged with murder. I'm just thinking out loud and in circles, don't mind me! :happydance:

There isn't a whole lot to go on just yet however I'm not subscribing to the "accident" or BDSM that got out of hand theory.

I'm thinking that there either was a relationship that went bad, or a relationship request that was spurned and the result was what we now have.

Some of the worst murders appeared to many to be great people, charming, well liked etc., but what laid beneath the exterior was extremely dark and depraved. At this juncture Cornell "seems" to be a nice to guy to many including those who worked with him. We don't know the truth about that just yet and we can't surmise from photos what his "type" may be or much else for that matter.

I think he wanted to do what he did and he thought he was going to get away with it. Based on his FB page and some of his postings I think there was anger directed at Brianna (post that tagged Brianna re: being crazy). Just a feeling I get.

What I feel the worst about is that early on when Brianna first went missing, there was so little attention paid to her disappearance in the community, media etc. Many of us wondered what was going on and why weren't there searches etc. So very sad and upsetting to know that Brianna was alive and maybe she could have been saved. This is what makes me feel sick.

I was just looking at the captions in these pictures.....human remains found in car? Did I miss that? It's in every screenshot, so I'm assuming it's referring to this case. Did they search and find something that I didn't read about yet?

I don't know.......I think he looks like someone who is socially awkward, strange, suspicious. Liked her but it wasn't reciprocated? Maybe she was visiting the girlfriend and agreed to hang out with him, but then it went south? Speculating, of course.

I don't think ( I may be wrong here ) but how can u be socially awkward and have a job massaging ppls bodies.

I was thinking he was suicidal and this is the sick friend she was going to help.
Is it possible (he made a post to her or about her after she went missing didn't he?) that he didn't have her at that time.

I do believe she was in his apt.
I don't think she was held there all that time.
Don't think she was killed there.

We know theyremoved bags and bags of stuff from his place.
Maybe he confessed.

Yes, it's probably unlikely he was socially awkward. After saying that I was reading more, it said he was highly requested and well-liked. So I digress.

He did post a LOT about suicide on his fb page.

I want to know why?
Its pretty obvious he did it by the charges.
But Geeez!

Yeah, based on the facts of LE going through his apartment, making him wait outside, THEN arresting him, they must have found a "smoking gun" or something. But you're right, what the heck happened? Why would he do that. Maybe there will be details soon.

Thank you for posting. I'm sorry, but your caption under the third photo down flipped me this morning! There's nothing funny at all in this case...but so fitting!

and the husband says he knows the guy.

Wonder how she died?

The husband lawyered up very early on, stopped cooperating with police. Now, many times that indicates guilt, involvement, etc. but I also know this could also be to protect him from being targeted.

If he knows the guy, maybe he and Brianna were romantically involved after all? Which would be why he knows him?

I think I agree that he had feelings for her and she didn't return them. He perhaps made sexual advances that she refused and that brought about what eventually happened. I do however feel, that in order to do something this horrific, that he had carried unspeakable dark thoughts. The whole idea is just sickening. And he does look creepy!

I was wondering the same thing and I hope and pray that she was already dead before the mutilation began. I guess we'll have to wait for more details, when/if they are released.

This is why I want to know how she died.
I think the dismemberment was after death.

The guy couldn't carry her!
Drastic times call for drastic measures!

This was Horrific!

Yes, I was just about to say that. I am not sure he had a choice, if he killed her and didn't know what to do after that. It was either leave her there, find an accomplice, or do what he did. It may have been the only way to get her out of his apartment; he doesn't look very strong.

Absolutely horrific. Horrible to even think about what this poor lady may have gone through over the weeks.

Oh I know.....she was most definitely somewhere against her will, or she would have spoken up when she was reported missing.

What I also want to know, is if this guy was suspended, then she went missing, he was fired a few days later, but was he showing up to work like nothing happened? Having someone held against her will and massaging people without a care? He was fired because he spoke up against someone who was promoted.
