Well when a person goes missing u search their home!
When a person is found murdered u search their home I would think!

And u don't know its not connected to the home until u search it!

My thoughts exactly. I would think they would have searched her home when she wasn't heard from for days. Then when the body was found, I would think it would be searched for any evidence of fowl play.

I'm conflicted on the lawyering up. My husband would, even knowing he is innocent.

I hope these two didn't work together to kill Brianna.

BBM

That thought has crossed my mind.

This article has a lot of new stuff!

Manager says he knew Brianna and Cornell got together for massages, they were close, etc.

Also says Corey Creek's place was searched after a warrant was obtained. Also states he told authorities Cornell was dating Brianna.

That link says that she sometimes went to him for massages. That somehow freaks me out even more. I'm even more puzzled with the scenario now. They were close, her husband said they were dating...What in the world could have led up to the outcome?

Jealousy and anger!

This sort of makes me think that the cops didn't really investigate her disappearance, or at least take it seriously, until after her remains where found .

Why would that be ? Because every bit of this information could have been made available to them within a day or two of her disappearance, that's why.

Why wasn't Cornell interviewed way back in the beginning ? If he was, where did the interview take place ? If he wasn't, why wasn't he ?

The article states that her husband told the news station several weeks ago that Cornell was dating Brianna.
Did he tell the cops that back on May 9th when he reported her missing ?

If this had been investigated thoroughly from the beginning, she might be alive today. It sounds like Cornell should have been on the radar right from the beginning. If they had just knocked on his door and asked to have a look inside, this may have all been avoided.

If I was going to another man for massages, my husband would flip his $h!+!!!!! And dames goes if my husband went to a woman for massages! I live in the town "The Client List" was made about, I know hinky kinky things go on in those kinda places!!!
The only way that I think it would even come close to being ok would be is if the man giving the massage to me was 110% not interested in me or any other woman!!!
Could it be possible Brianna was "in the way" between Cornell & Creek? Or maybe is was some kind of fantasy thing for the hubby to be with someone of the opposite sex & one of them caught feelings or something?
I don't get a BDSM vibe from this guy. Dominating men are mainly very powerful high ranking type men, not massage therapists. And I haven't seen it mentioned that she was some kinda closet dominatrix, which would fit better if this hadn't ended with her dismembered & put into trash bags. I can't help but think there is a reason you'd put someone into trash bags & that'd be because you thought of them as just that, trash. I just don't THINK someone would do that to someone they claim to care for & or love. I know he killed her, if he loved her, in a crime of passion & he would've taken unconscious steps to care for her body after she died & "laid her to rest" not dismembered her & then tossed her out the window of his moving vehicle on the way to the grocery store, that is a crime of rage & anger. So what happened to make him so enraged & angry??? And normally suicidal persons don't post about it day in & day out, they just do it without notice. I know, my uncle did it & no one had even a glimpse of a clue he felt the way he did. Just my thoughts & opinions.

Marking my place and catching up.

IIRC, and possible I am misremembering, but didn't Brianna call her Dad and say she was spending night with a friend? Also, seems I remember or again possibly misremembering, but I was thinking it was a known fact that she had a "boyfriend" very early on?

As far as the "Lawyering up" with her husbands past, I totally understand him doing that. We don't know all the questions that were asked. And from following so many cases... That Miranda Rights is for a reason....(if you get them read) also, very good idea in situations like this to get legal advise. Again in the Real World... but most of us would be wanting to do and be as honest as possible. JMHO

Praying I never ever have to seek legal advise due to the many stories have followed. May Brianna rest in peace and prayers for her Family and Friends.

Sending my heartfelt condolences for your loss. I have heard many times that although some cases there are warning signs, and some not recognized until afterward, that large majority do as your Uncle did, sadly.

This sounds horrible and feels even worse typing it, but I am hoping and praying that all portions of her were accounted for.

Having read of other people posting on fb about suicide or other places online, its very disturbing to read. Can not imagine reading it and knowing the person who posts such comments. Or to hear/read people being shocked later that *advertiser censored* would do something like that. JMHO, but anytime anyone makes post like that someone should look into it. Be it family or just friends. Especially if its been posted multi times and left up for all to see. JMHO

True. I have posted some of the same suicide hotline type posts that he did, my husband is a veteran & I know all about what that can do to ones mind. That's what I got maybe as a reason he posted things, for others to read or he was seeking attention like a child will say "OMG Mom, you're so mean I hate my life I could just go kill myself!" it's an attention seeking thing.
I would really love to be a fly on the wall in his jail cell just to her his reasons & or excuses as to why he did this & what led up to it.
Surely it's not for his 5 minutes of fame?!?

When you say it like that, I think of Luka Magnotta.....

He seems to have murdered Jun Lin for infamy, nothing more, nothing less. If this guy murdered Brianna just for attention, then IMO he deserves to rot away in prison. I mean....only a total narcissist would do that.

However, I'm not really seeing the same level of narcissism that Magnotta had. I was simply comparing the two in regards to attention-seeking behavior. I'm sure they're nothing alike though.

Gah, here I go talking in circles again :scared:

They charged him with 2 nd degree murder so it was not planned .

How can that be if he kept her alive for 2 to 3 weeks?

At Friday's bond hearing, prosecutors said the same brand of trash bags that contained Armstrong's remains were found by police at Cornell's apartment. Blood was also found there.

The blood is being examined by the Dept. of Forensic Science to confirm its source.

Cornell's mother, who was in court for the hearing, told 13News Now, "The only thing I will say is my son is innocent."
(Of course !! )

Denial ain't just a river in Eygpt, Ma....................

Right....because I just have random blood of other people in my apartment! Come on, MOM. Stop defending your crazy son.

Because the cops dropped the ball on this one, that's why. This guy had upwards of 14 days to clean his apartment from top to bottom and hide or destroy evidence. He wasn't arrested until June 9th, whereas her estimated time of death was somewhere around May 25-26. There may not have been much left to find when they searched his place a few days ago, and what they did find may turn out to be considered circumstantial evidence.

Now the D.A. is hobbled by a lack of solid evidence, and the tools of torture can no longer be displayed for a jury.
He can only work with what he's got at this point. He'd have a lot more if they'd kicked this guys door down 2 or 3 weeks ago before he got rid of all of it.

I think they need to search Brianna's house, if they haven't. He would have had access to her house, I think, since he had access to her keys. So troubling that they didn't search her place and his in the beginning. As steelman said, they may have found her alive!

I wonder if any tools, axes, saws, etc., have been found. I guess that would be released, if they were.

At today's bond hearing in General District Court, prosecutor Scott Vachris said "personal property" of Cornell's was found inside the trash bags with Armstrong's remains. Police found the same type of trash bags at Cornell's apartment. Blood was also found inside his apartment, and it is being tested to determine whose it was, Vachris said
