LMAO!!

Is the "group prayer" asked for on twitter by "Jodi" in response to Tanisha's message?

BTW, since I am leaving (hehe!) it might not be a bad idea to repost that a few times over the weekend? Not that I am telling anyone what to do or anything...

Don't leave....Just got out of the bath .. all clean and shiny .. even my feet!

I'm a bit concerned JA won't get M1. How are you preparing yourselves in that event?
I'm not concerned. I have full faith in JM and this jury. There is not one iota of evidence by the DT that has me concerned

I hope Juan goes home and sleeps for the whole weekend! This has been a long and hard fought battle for him and Detective Flores. I do believe they will get a conviction of murder one. I really wish he would have taken the time to remind the jurors of her own words...that no jury would convict her...and she would pray for the death penalty...just to make her eat those words. But for whatever reason, he chose not to do that. He appeared very tired and worn at the end. But he should be. We all are. He is a brilliant prosecutor and certainly pointed out repeatedly that "this man never laid a hand on her". I am glad he stood up for Travis.

Juan, get some rest. We are all so proud of you!

An added bonus, I never have to hear Jennifer's or Kirk's voices, ever again. :)
Amen to that.

I think the three alternates were Ponytail, the elderly male, and Barb, a lady in her 40's.

I am sure the elderly male and Ponytail were both pro prosecution. The elderly male paid close attention and ponytail took detailed notes.

Anyone?

Don't want to jinx anything, but one of those three (imo) was the DT's targeted juror. I'd bet my rear end on it.

I LOVE when Juan says:

Jodi planned to murder Travis. She did. Yes she sure did.

I'm still having warm fuzzies over his closing. So exquisite.

And "dontcha know?" LOL Love that!:floorlaugh:

Just for review:

No defense blood spatter analyst testified.
No defense medical examiner testified.
No one that ever witnessed Travis being abusive testified.
No one ever testified for the defense that Travis was treating her poorly, using her, etc. (Intentionally discounting defense experts whose credibility I personally question. ;))
No one testified to, as the defense would have you believe, Travis' prolific sexual history.

If I were a juror...I would seriously be wondering where the backbone of the defense's case actually was. If they told me Travis had ridden a zebra the Sunday before he died - I'd want pictures of a zebra, and not a giraffe. Why tell me x, y, and z but not prove it, unless it can't be proven, and if that's the case it comes down to the account of a known and proven liar who has more motivation to lie now than ever before. A defendant that had the gall and audacity to lie to those who will determine her fate, directly.

This is common sense in my opinion...and this jury has proven time and again to be astute, paying careful consideration to what's being presented, every bit as much as what's not, and even questioning why not at times - all while asking pointed questions aimed directly at the defendant's integrity, of almost every witness the defense proffered. I just don't see anything less than a unanimous vote for guilt, murder first degree.

MOO

Absolutely, these juror aren't throwing common sense out the window. Jodi threw names out like a D list celebrity, to support her various stories yet none of them testified. Not Matt McCartney, not Rachel, Skye Hughes, Chris Hughes, etc....

No SCIENTIFIC experts, come on! There are MEs, splatter experts, etc... who testify across the country. Yet the defense calls nobody to refute sequence of events or crime scene details.

Most amazing of all is how they wanted their paid pet psych's to testify outside of their expertise. Doc S on the crime scene and Doc G on medical forensics. I think we can agree the DT wasn't worried about budget, so got to think they couldn't find experts in the appropriate fields to testify.

He said she never said she returned it to the same Walmart.

Even Nurmi doesn't believe Arias.:floorlaugh: She testified that she took it back to the same store she bought it from.

I guess that was those 9 days out of ten on the stand that he couldn't stand her and he missed her testimony.:floorlaugh:

I had to leave for a while to get supper going for the family. It's been a long haul for them too :blowkiss:

I can't quite catch up with all the posts I missed, but I did run through some of the pages, and want to thank those who sent their hugs. Right back at ya . My son was astonished when he saw the tears running down my face, and his concern was so touching. He's been my biggest supporter at home throughout this whole trial, and would ask me each day what happened in court that day. I'm pretty sure DH is just relieved it's over so he doesn't have to hear about it anymore.

Godspeed to the jury, and I'm sending all the positive thoughts I can to the family. It will all be over for them soon and maybe the real healing can begin. They are beautiful people, and they have my utmost admiration for how strong they've been in the face of what they've had to endure each and every day in that courtroom. I wish them nothing but happiness in their lives, and hope that all of our love has helped them through this in some small way. They can be proud of their brother. He was a good man, and nothing the DT said can take that away from him, or them, no matter how hard they tried to say otherwise.

Donovan is some friend, huh, wearing a skull tee shirt on a day they're going to show a slaughtered murder at a Death Penalty Trial. Of course, the mitigation specialist wore a bright red red flamingo ruffled blouse outfit the other day, and I spent all day wishing she'd put a flower in her mouth and start dancing.

Where do these people think they're going when they get dressed for the courtroom in the morning?

Doesn't matter. She said she got cash. No receipt = no cash. They have to have a receipt, for cash, then mark the return on the receipt for the exact item. Bell Arias, had a receipt, with NO markings, on the gas can line item.

If she got cash, she would be required to sign a receipt, to prove the cashier gave her the money. I know this from being on both sides of the counter.

I'm a bit concerned JA won't get M1. How are you preparing yourselves in that event?

I don't think this way.

However if society has broken down so much that justice has become a twisted ugly thing then they should go to professional jurors who know how to reason and understand their duty.

I just don't understand how you can imagine she would not get murder 1 unless the above is at work.

I'm not concerned. I have full faith in JM and this jury. There is not one iota of evidence by the DT that has me concerned

I thought the same during that other "can't be mentioned" trial east of Arizona.

Anything can happen, that is a concern in this case especially.

JM did a magnificent job no doubt, but now it's out of his hands.

Does God hear vodka prayers? My husband and I are drowning our nervousness in Kettle One....

ETA I'm not mocking...I really am praying.

I think God prefers Cabernet...at least that's what my higher power is telling me at the moment!:cautionDrunk:
