Chance meeting, spat, co-worker offered her a lift home, etc.

This would have happened pretty quick like then because she didn't show up for work and her husband called LE after her work called him, and he found her vehicle that afternoon.
Do you think they put her in the culvert right around 7am or came back that night when they wouldn't have been seen and disposed of her then?

IMOO.

Did police say when they may have an identification?

Sorry just saw the answer!

I live near the area and know people that know her well.

Here are a couple of articles about the finding of a body... one states the HR department of Hutch was notified of the finding of her body.

Han Nachtrieb, HR with Fred Hutch, released the following statement on Sun. night:
It is with deep regret and sorrow that we’ve recently had confirmation that Cheryl DeBoer, missing since February 8, has been found. Her remains were located this afternoon near the King/Snohomish border. While more details will be forthcoming from the police, we have let our Fred Hutch teammates know of this news. Cheryl has been in the hearts and minds of her many friends and coworkers, and we are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Our condolences go out to her family, her many friends, and all those who are grieving.

I don't know why I find it strange that her workplace has been notified and had enough time to release a statement about Cheryl before the police have officially said its Cheryl. [emoji848]

The quote from Fred Hutchinson HR will feed the rumors even more... if they've been notified by LE one would not be out of line to assume that the body found is indeed Cheryl's. I understand there is protocol to follow and an official public announcement will take time. There's always the off chance, however minor, it is indeed someone else. But if they're notifying those close to Cheryl, they know it's her... all just my opinion.

Friends and family may have confirmed that it is Cheryl, but the medical examiner has to determine it is Cheryl, IMOO.

Just saw this breaking news. RIP, Cheryl. I am so very sad.

I wonder why the searchers happened to search there. There are many little wooded lots and areas all over MLT. There must have been some kind of tip?

For those confused about the numbering system, some of the areas in question straddle the King/Snohomish County line. North of the line is Snohomish, and east/west street numbers increase as you go south. South of the line, in King Cihnty, the opposite is true.

Have to wonder if some of her coworkers were on the team that found her. It would be hard to contain information if that was the case. This announcement makes it so they don't have people speaking out, inadvertently embellishing, etc.

Thanks TL, I don't know why but I still find it odd that her workplace is the first to make an announcement. But no worries, it's just me.

IMOO.

I don't remember how quickly he called the police. Is there an official timeline on that?

I'm trying to think what I would do if my spouse's work called because they hadn't shown up... I'm thinking I would first go check out the area where they would park their car for their commute, to see if it was there, going there by following the route they always take or most likely would have taken. (Going by that, I find it odd he found her car later, in the afternoon).

Next I'd call around to family, friends, coworkers who might have heard from them. I know not everyone thinks like me, so remember it's all just MOO, however if her husband immediately called the police after Cheryl didn't show up for work, I'd find that odd.

That's not where my first thought would go... unless my subconscious was acting up maybe? If I'd done something to my spouse my subconscious might block logical thinking and tell me that calling the police right away would be logical... yes, I'm being roundabout on purpose. :( I hate thinking, even in a theory, which this is, that a loved one might have something to do with her death.
