Sorry if I get off topic, but one question I had was if Jodie said it was Travis's gun, where is the (other ammo) for the gun? Did she take that also? or did the gun have only the 1 clip for it. Where was his gun cleaning kit, etc. etc..

Exactly! I guess Jodi's not as smart as she thinks she is or she would have planted some of her grandpa's shells and gunning cleaning kit at Travis's place.

I think that the letter written to the judge about juror #5 was Plan A from a Jodi supporter to get juror #5 kicked off the jury. Whoever wrote the letter (and I wonder if they had the support of the defense team, or Jodi herself to do it) tried to make it seem like the letter was being written from an anti Jodi person. I don't believe it was. Plan A didn't work so it was on to Plan B, which did work for the defense. I don't know what juror #5 said to get kicked off, but Plan A sure makes me believe she was targetted and was removed over something trivial so that later the defense could not use it as an appeal.
I also believe that while it did make Jodi happy to have the juror kicked off it is not what made her so giddy that day. I believe that during the in chambers meeting alot of hurt was shown by the juror and Travis' sisters. I think she took alot of pleasure in thier pain. Inflicting pain on others is a joy to Jodi. She is pure evil. IMO

I understood that this information came from a phone message left for the judge.

I disagree. I think he knew he had at most about 35 min to start his cross before the long weekend. I think all he was doing was "establishing a rapport" so,to speak. Meaning that when you are on the witness stand its the questioner in control not the witness.

I think he demonstrated brilliantly to the jurors that she will be evasive and combative with a male questioning her. He's just begun and I'll be there to see how he dismantles her testimony. Let her be the expert I say. Then let's let her show how Jodi fits in to her own prescribed continuum. On the Terrorism level.

Let's not forget he started questioning her after discovering shed requested a premature break then proceeded to use that time by stepping off the stand and walking directly up to a victims sister, violating her boundaries and get in her face with a one sided monologue. Was this the reason she wanted that immediate break?

ALV is throwing her hard earned reputation under the bus all on her own with no assistance from Juan Martinez.
I was astounded to hear she did that right after she stepped off the stand. Obviously she has no respect for the court or the victim's family. I hate to be harsh with my criticism but something is seriously wrong with this woman's thinking. With the whole courtroom watching she is in her own unreal world. I think she is used to commanding the attention of a group and knows no boundaries outside that scenario.

I'm not denying that men are abused by women, and even killed by them, but it is still way outweighted by the percentage of women abused by men. The study you cited seems to pretty much agree with the 85 percent men on women figure.

IMO

I might have misinterpreted it, but it seemed to me to mean that 83% reported to police are female victims, where as the Stats Can survey showed a reported 6% of the male population and 7% of the female population in Canada reported being victims of domestic abuse. This would include incidents not reported to police.

I did indicate I believed more severe cases are against women however, and the article does agree.

"The report found that female victims were more than twice as likely to be injured as male victims, three times more likely to fear for their life, and twice as likely to be the targets of more than 10 violent episodes. "

I was interested in reading, but I received an error message: Sorry, the page you were looking for in this blog does not exist. :(

Haven't read yet, but I found the page by going to the following blog and clicking on the imbedded blog called "Jodi Arias: Charming Lying Murdering Psychopath" in the first sentence.

The sheets weren't in that load of wash. Only the camera, Travis's clothes that he was wearing (t-shirt, shorts, underwear and socks), and that's it. The load of all the sheets, pillow cases and duvet was the first load she did and was already in the dryer having been dried.

SHe didn't want to take the camera with her. It would have been the only item missing from the house and been noticed, and since she was the photo taking guru a missing camera and missing memory card would point the finger at her. There's no other reason to take the time to delete all the photos one by one and then wash the camera while she was still there and running out of time.

Of course she took the murder weapons... they didn't belong to Travis.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9 and DSC-H7 cameras provide the ability to delete all the photos in a folder at one time.

Moreover, it's a simple matter to connect the camera to a computer or remove the card from the camera and interface it directly with a computer in order to delete or even [re-]format the card.

She could have entirely overwritten the card or taken it with her and obliterated or hidden it.

I would not be surprised at all to find that she has copies of every file on that card somewhere at this point -- somewhere besides the hoosegow, of course.

This is my first post. :). Thanks for letting me join the group!

So do you think next week we will hear Juan say "To the moon Alyce!!!"

One of the best first post I've ever read! Welcome!

Ahhhhhh....and there's the rub. Nobody knows.

I totally agree Sleuth5. I haven't watched the trial from day 1, I think I started watching since Day 2 of JM's cross of JA, but from the moment I started hearing words out of her mouth I found that her statements didn't make sense to me from what I knew about the case. They only dated for a few months, less than a half year. The entire time they were dating she lived in another state. AFTER they broke up, she moved to Mesa. While she lived in Mesa Travis was actively dating and pursuing other women. Bottom line, they really did NOT spend a lot of time together. And after she'd moved to Mesa, the time she did spend around him she was uninvited and unwanted.

And yet she spoke about him like she had taken part in a very intimate, very close relationship. There was a lot of "Travis always said....." "Travis loved to....." "Travis knew I hated......" "He really cared that I...." She regaled the court with all kinds of inane stories that tried to communicate a closeness and importance that, to me, really existed only in her mind. I just didn't buy it. Add in all the other stuff and I remember thinking, "Girl, snap out of it! You were a BOOTY CALL, and nothing more!" She even admitted that in her journal in one entry.

But the fact that she has invented all this superfluous storyline outside of the sex indicates to me that to make herself feel better about being just a booty call, she invented a 'relationship'. His choice to encourage her to continue as a booty call sent the wrong message to her, and we all know how that ultimately played out.

I relate to her desire to want a booty call to be more than a booty call as in my tender youth I made some bad choices. I did some level one stalking at that time, unable to accept that getting sexual with a guy would not lead to a relationship. I did some creative imagining in my own head about a relationship ONLY to prevent myself from realizing, "No, it was just sex and that is all." Luckily for them, I was just stupid and not psycho.

But from the beginning I've felt that her re-telling and description of their 'relationship' did not ring true at all! And no amount of photographs were going to change the reality that she was a booty call, plain and simple.

Yes! Yes & Yes.

Thank you. Just....thank you. I don't do the same work as you but I am in the field as well....and for at least myself only you said this better than I could have.

:grouphug: We're trying our hardest aren't we!

I understood that this information came from a phone message left for the judge.

You know, wasn't there a talking head that starting making comments about J5 a few weeks back. I am starting to thing it's one of the talking heads.

To believe someone is to perceive them as credible in expression, speech, manner & all the many ways we convey ourselves to others. To note, as well, that other grounds support the person or at least do not belie what the person is presenting. To affirmatively choose to believe someone, an act of volition, makes only the lightest of demands. Try not to laugh when you're lying through your teeth, make a genuine effort to conceal facts & people that contradict what you're telling me, and do not change your story.

I think ALaV adjusted her blinkers and chose to believe her client when even the Magic 8 Ball read "all signs point to NO". She did this way in front of the action and she is heavily invested in convincing the jurors and the whole courtroom that they too can and should make this choice despite everything else that may be placed before them. She is summoning all of her years of experience and her trusted Continuum and Cycles to prove her position & opinion vis a vis Arias is reliable and correct.

She is finding that ignoring and discounting the obvious is as risky as pressing Debit Card when your account is empty. No matter how many graphs and diagrams and models you refer to in your demonstrations of domestic violence, if the nexus to your client does not exist because your client's real name is Falsity, the machinations grind and clunk and hiss to a halt. You see, ALaV, we did not make that affirmative choice. We did not take that act of volition. We are consulting the evidence and listening to the witnesses and aiming at a just verdict.

I  you.

You can add Travis to the stats of men abused by women.

This wasn't her camera though so I don't know if she was proficient in dealing with it. Idk if she was privy to how to delete entire folders in the rush to clean up and get the eff outta there so she wouldn't be tied to this heinous murder. She said she had her camera with her, why not use her own? That boggles me a lil lol

Somebody PM'd me yesterday asking what ALV was talking about in this video. I told them I hadn't really figured it out. So I just watched it again and this is what I think she's saying about Jodi. I think JM's analogy is quite good on this.

IMO, ALV sees Jodi as a young woman who came from an abused background. She was trying to escape her troubled family life by trying to establish a safe normal family life for future children. (watch the last two minutes of the second video.)

Then she met the evil dark lord Travis Vader. He took Jodi's dream and played with it to his advantage. Using her as a :censored: toy. He led her to thinking that she would attain that perfect life and that by satisfying Travis' sexual peccadillos she would gain ground on the competition.

When she learned on that fateful day that TA was so abusive that he'd kill her she snapped and all of the pent up aggression came flooding out while the fog settled in. I think she believes this is normal in over 95% of the cases in DV.

I just want to reemphasize that's ALV's theory, IMO, and not mine.

Alyce seems to be myopic in her understanding of what DV is. She didn't, as far as I know, interview any of TA's family or friends. That might have cast Jodi in a bad light and make her confused and start thinking JA wasn't the sweet little abused kid she claimed to be. JMO

I wonder if it was the same thing that happened with Samuels (hope I'm remembering the psychologist's name right).

To me, Jodi is scary, not charming. But some people are weak-minded in some areas of their life, and maybe Samuels and ALV had that in common. ALV denied any attraction to Jodi, but I don't believe a lot from her, as she's vigorously defending an obvious cold-blooded killer.

Would you ruin your reputation as a DV expert just for around 300 bucks an hour, with not so many people wanting your "expertise" after this case? I think JA "cast her spell" on the both of them.

I help piece the victims bodies back together if it's even possible. Many of them I know by name they're such frequent flyers. I call the CAS to have their children removed to safety and the police to have the abusers caught and dealt with. I put the toe tags on their corpses and call for the attendants to take them to the morgue. Then I call their next of kin. If it's not too late, I help find them emergency shelter and an advocate to help them save their own lives. It's not a chuckle fest lets pretend we're Dopey or Snow White to me. Her approach is unprofessional IMHO and I expected more.
In my line of work if the heart isn't beating and there's no brain activity then all the mental health chit chat over the span of months and years is for naught.

We're traumatized by default and there are scores of us. <modsnip>

Ok, so you thought her approach was too lighthearted and dismissive. I can get that, but I also can get you have to laugh or you won't stop crying.

It must be very hard to watch this horror show day in and day out. I have a friend now who will not leave no matter what. I have had to put her back together more than once a year. This is mostly emotional, not physical but it takes a huge toll on your mental and physical health and well being. So that gender role thing of ALV is a big lightbulb for me. My friend is just being a good wife as she has been raised to believe what that looks like, and forgets the cost she is paying to do that between episodes. It's incredibly frustrating.

IMO

PS Thanks for responding and doing the work you do.

Thank button insufficient in this case. Thank you is certainly insufficient, but it's the best I can offer. Well, and Boycie boy here.

This is news to me. What happened? Was it one of Travis' sisters, or a court observer? What was said to them by ALV??

TIA

One thing JA said in her interrogation videos was that the knives she had in the rental car belonged to Darryl and she was going to take them to him. Sorry, of the 18 I don't know which one it is in.

Maybe she borrowed them on 6/3.
