On the one side we have demeaning slurs, a slap, a shove, a chokehold, and a lunge perpetrated on Jodi. On the other, we have a gunshot to the head, a 4 inch deep throat slit and close to 30 stab wounds delivered by Jodi to Travis. Is not the perpetrator of the greatest domestic violence Jodi?

NO.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just saw this moment replayed on HLN. wow. Just wow. And then when JW tried to come back and rehabilitate that, they dug themselves in even deeper.

I posted earlier that that was the BIG question and answer of the day for me.

That's uncanny how the Superman face looks just like her mugshot.

It's an expression that says, "I will stab you one day."

You are all so wonderful for your thoughts and words. Thank you. I'm touched by your kindness.

I'm just going to post this picture of her as I knew her ... way back in 1999 at a fruit stand in the center of town. That smile is how she looked almost all the time.

Thank you so very much for sharing this. You were very fortunate to know Rachel in life. All too many of us only knew her and baby Lillian in death.

:rose:

Just as we are with Travis Alexander...

Minor, if ALV had wanted to interview, say, Deanna or Matt McCartney, or Rachel-the-two-week-roommate, could she have done those things? Would those people have to comply, or could they refuse? I'm certainly critical of her basing her "analysis" on such limited information, but how far could she go in getting more?

I still get confused due to all the lies of Aries and her Defense team, just how long did Jodi live in Mesa. Where did she live?

Oh, that continuum! It's a real thing, it's not a real thing, I use it, I don't use it, I use it only for training, I used it in this case, I didn't use it in this case, it's incomplete, it's always evolving, only I know how to use it because it's basically good for nothing . . . .AAARRGGHH!

That thing was definitely one of the more embarrassing things she did, and she did a whole lot of embarrassing things.

How interesting that when JW brings up the continuum and specifically if the STALKING word is under the 'Terrorism' column ALV is able to clearly and quickly state, "Yes it is."

But when Juan asks her she just can't manage it.

I didn't know this woman going into this trial. I had no opinion of her either way I TRULY WAS UNBIASED and with me, she has lost all credibility. I get angry and upset just watching her argue and argue.

I wish Juan would have let Alyce finish her answer about "after 34 years experience her retirement"....

To me it sounded like she was going to say that she really needed the money from the trial for her retirement!

Way past my bedtime, folks. Hope I will see many of you tomorrow when all the stuff I/we dream about needs to be discussed!

minor...is it against the rules to lie to an expert witness? Can the DT be in trouble with the courts?

I'm not sure what you mean. I think the answer is no, the defense cannot be in trouble with the courts based on what they said to an expert witness. But what exactly are you thinking they lied to the witness about?

Don't know if my question this morning was answered posts were moving way to fast:-)
Alyce always mentions Lisa D's email to Ta and the Hughes email to Jodi..In Rebuttal can JM bring them back to the stand? Jury needs to hear from from them again..TIA

Yes, Juan can recall Lisa, if he feels it necessary.
He can also call Chris and/or Sky Hughes, if he feels it is necessary.
They have not testified before the jury, only in the evidentiary hearing without the jury present.

This is one very big shout out to Wenwe and G&AMom for excellent transcription that has kept me up to speed throughout!

THANK YOU

:great::great::great::great:

Seems to me the logical reason ALV is coming back to testify is due to the motion for mistrial. I think ALV was trying to tell JSS she was going to the doctor for further tests Monday, being her reason for not making Monday when JSS stopped her from saying it.

Makes me nervous that JSS ordered the jurors back at 130 Monday but then told then to have their cellphones around just in case.

I haven't been as nervous about any of the previous mistrial motions as I am of this one....for some reason.

I'm projecting myself, I know it. A woman I knew years ago (she was my intern at one of my first jobs out of college) went to England on an exchange. I had plans to go to England in the fall. Before she left, she said, "Let's meet up when you come to the UK and hang out."

I said, "Yes, let's e-mail and keep in touch."

She was one of those ultra happy people always looking for the silver lining. I asked her one morning if she drank! :floorlaugh: Seriously, she was that chirpy.

She was super friendly but I never really thought she really wanted to meet up. We all say these things to each other when we part ways after college, from one job to another, from one gym to another. We exchanged a few e-mails over that summer and that was it. I wasn't surprised or disappointed because I thought we were exchanging social niceties.

In early October (my trip was mid October), she sent an e-mail asking where I'd be staying. A few days later, she e-mailed train schedules and maps from my hotel . She was in York and I was in London so it was quite the train trip. Beautiful though.

When the train pulled into the station, I didn't recognize her. She'd had a hair cut and was wearing a stylish scarf around her hair and she was just glowing. We talked about her boyfriend back home and a new guy she'd met in York. She was fascinated with him and conflicted by her feelings for her bf back home. She said she'd date this new guy and see how she felt over the winter break when she returned home.

We didn't keep in touch for a while after I left York but she'd sent me away with recommended books and asked me to pass them on after I read them. She sent a couple of letters and one of the letters was how she was engaged. When she got back to Holy Cross, she could not stop thinking about him.

Mutual friends said that she moved to England and shortly afterwards, she and her husband and new baby moved back here.

I never saw her again. Her husband shot her in the head and their daughter Lilian whilst they slept. And during the trial he claimed she was depressed and that she killed herself and the baby. Was he out of his MF mind? OMG.

He was found guilty and rots in prison. You've probably heard about the case. My friend was Rachel Souza. I refuse to ever refer to her by her married name, which was Entwhistle.

I know I'm too caught up in this case but there is just something obscene and truly pornographic to take someone's life and decide to take the only thing the dead have: their dignity and honor.

So I'm ambivalent about the DP but I know I want her to be convicted. I want her to know we all judge her and find her wanting. I want her in a little cell with no one to admire her and take photos and film her every move and report on her every blink.

She already thinks she's won because she took what no other woman will ever have. But she's still a flaming narcissist who needs constant validation and I want her in a plain little cell with only herself for company for ever and ever and ever.

I want her in a panic now that the sand is running out of the hourglass and I want her to sweat. And I want the Alexander family to make their impact statements and then I want the jury to verbally body slam her with their sentence, whatever that may be.

So, I'll keep posting smarty arse comments about the trial but I'm never forgetting what it's about. And it isn't a spectator sport for me. I'm a heat seeking missile where this chick is concerned and I have no shame about it. :)

OMG, another late night vent. I swear I don't drink or drug. lol

I followed this case from when I first heard about it on NG. What a poor excuse for a human being. A psychopath/narcissist who murdered his wife and little baby for his own financial gain.

How sad that you were someone who knew Rachel on a personal level. My heart goes out to you. I'm sending you cyber hugs for what you've been through.. Thanks for sharing.

ALV looked over at the jury then said what appears to be the word "jerk".

If indeed that is what she said while looking at the jury, that is highly improper and there should be some sort of repercussion.

I really don't think she said anything...she does that kinda stuff with her lips a lot. jmo

Dear Diary,

Alyce made a mess of my case, so she can have all those books back. And she can have back those dumb "O" magazines she sent. What good are they now when that guard figured out my code. Dang. He's smarter than he looks.

I’m going to have to rethink my strategy quick because I don't know why Alyce is coming back next week but now all of a sudden the Judge is a meanie and Alyce is 2 steps from melting into a puddle if anybody looks at her cross eyed. Man, wtf. How did that hateful prosecutor de edify her like that and so fast?

I really am reaching the end of my rope here. It’s bad enough I have no body in my hair, no makeup, no cold sore cream and they're making me dress like a Quaker every day, which is embarrassing. But now things are seriously looking bleak. The jury doesn't think I'm harmless, after all. So what was the point of wearing these plastic glasses and teasing out 5 bangs every day? And eBay shut down my art selling. What is going on here? Why is everyone picking on ME?

What upsets me the most, Dear Diary, is I can’t leave this nice jail where I’m queen of the inmates. If they send me to a real prison with hardcore bad asses, I’m going to really know what a used piece of toilet paper feels like inside a week. :-( So I’m sending positive thoughts into the universe that domestic violence lady can pull my arse out of the fire SHE SET.
xoxoxo Jodi
:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Thank you!

Then we are in the same state. And the parallels here: a gun from Rachel's parents house was stolen and Rachel and Lillian were killed with that gun. He had wild stories about how it happened and was erratic in the days afterwards.

He fled and Jodi was going to flee.

I think she was going to flee. There has been speculation that there was someone else she may have wanted dead. That 9MM, knife in her car. *shudder*

It reminds me of that crazy astronaut who drove across country to Florida wearing a diaper so she wouldn't have to stop and go to the bathroom.

She wasn't worried about gas cans, lol.

BBM:

:blushing: I so remember sitting in the courtroom in Woburn and hearing about the knife that the murderer "planned to use on himself" but didn't ...'cause it would HURT! rather like this defendant and her "razor attempt suicide"!
Peeps on the side of justice were RAGING with LOVE for R & L's victory against the killer, believe & take comfort in that, InaLand!

How come we can't get the dang witness list for rebuttal?

Around 32:45 into part 3 of the JA trial day 46 put on youtube croakerqueen123's channel today, JA is CLEARLY up to something clandestine having to do with JW's chair. No. Question. About. It. Here is a slo-mo, then normal speed video of it.

Jodi Diddles JW's Chair

  • First she kicks JW's chair away/into position.

  • Then she twirls the seat of JW's chair into a different position.

  • Then she slowly pulls JW's chair alongside her own, using her foot.

  • She waits a little bit, looks covertly out the side of her eyes to see if anyone is glancing at her.

  • She picks up a notebook and grasps it near the middle with her left hand, then slides the thumb across the bottom of the page.

  • She puts her hand down on the arm of her own chair and makes a couple of picking motions.

  • She quickly moves her hand to JW's chair at the back of the armrest.

  • She works the end of the armrest along the back and bottom of it. It looks like she's screwing or unscrewing something and/or picking/poking at something.

  • She jerks her head up and looks at the bench conference, pretending to be interested in what they are doing, but continues to diddle the back and bottom of the armrest on JW's chair.

  • She quickly pulls her hand back to in front of her, picks up a stubby pencil and starts to write or pretend to write as the conference breaks up and the lawyers head back toward their respective tables.

I never actually saw anything IN her hands other than the notebook and the pencil, but she did something she shouldn't have been doing (I think she hides something). Does D have access to those chairs after the court clears out or before court convenes?

I'm glad you caught this. I noticed her kicking the chair and thought it looked strange. It looks like she is unscrewing something but I don't think there any screws in that part of the chair. Weird.

She is extra creepy in slowmo. Chills.

Why the heck is she hiding all those pencils? Is she going to run amok in the courtroom?

Maybe she is trying to smuggle them out to sell on ebay, along with her manifesto. She is famous - in her own evil demented mind..:jail:

There won't be a mistrial. Nurmi just files those things because he has to in order for her to have grounds for appealing her death sentence.
