Did judge drop hints at jury selection location?
"Once you start, there's going to be a feeding frenzy," said Perry. "I suspect it may generate some interest, even though there are not that many television stations."
Not that many television stations? That would rule out Florida's biggest cities, leaving us speculating about cities like Sarasota or Key West."
Quoting myself to add what Judge Perry said today about hotels begin VERY CHEAP at the location where they will select a Jury and that if they find a hotel room that is over $50 per night then they will have a problem and that as long as they leave by 8am that morning they will be fine.
Start at the 9:50 mark

Holy carp! Is he supposed to be telling people??
Less than $50/night? Isn't that like a 2 star hotel?
ETA: Wait, is that for the whole length of the trial or just for whatever is going on now? I'm confused.
My brother is undercover in orlando nad he lives in Del Ray beach thats about an hour or so away from orlando.

Other clues that I heard is that the technology is different at this location, the Defense may want to check it out but ... there is construction although that may be finished by now and ... it is north.
Next thing ya know, JB will insist that he must know the location early so he can check the bed bug stats for the hotel.

Here's the spreadsheet for the anticipated costs: http://www.clickorlando.com/download/2011/0317/27227343.pdf
It is confusing because it allocates $150 per night lodging for the five days of jury selection for 2 clerks at a total of $1,500.
So what's with the $50 business today? More :waitasec: .
ETA: Maybe this spreadsheet wasn't created and submitted by the court? I dunno.
I had mentioned Pasco County back when this topic first came up, now I am beginning to think it could be the place.
Anyone remember the Vampire Killer's trial back around mid-late 90's that happened in Leesburg/Lake County FL area? Lake County is adjacent to Orange County but due to the high profile and media coverage they went outside the county over to Pasco County to get a jury. That jury was then brought back to Lake County for the trial.
Pasco County is directly west of Orlando 3 counties over, above the Tampa area. County Seat there is Dade City. According to mapquest it is about 70 miles or 80 mins away from downtown Orlando. Kind of rural area with no local media that I could find in the whole county. Must get their news out of the Tampa area.

Not a lot of hotels to choose from in the area but they are rather cheap.....$44-$109
