I think what people are saying here is we feel for CA and GA for the loss of their granddaughter. No one will argue that. It's their behavior that is so bizzare that gets under everyone's skin. For instance they are constantly looking for a handout. They expect someone else to pay for their daughter's defense (not that they could afford it) but they also want free advise from attorneys. There is no accounting for the monies which were taken in through the foundation. They were collecting money to find Caylee but did not want to give anything to TM even though they asked him to come to Florida on his own. They wanted that service for free.

RC told police GA has taken money from her, a lot of money. LE told her she was not the first as there were others he took money from as well with no expectation of returning it. The A's expectations have always been what can you do for me. Who has a memorial service and uninvites people. If you want to keep it private, keep it private. That blew my mind.

You are right we do not know how much money they have received. They never are honest so one would have to wonder when people are losing their homes left and right how in the world did these two get to keep their home. There had to have been a promise, something down the road if they fell behind again. As for money they collected with the other "charity", I suppose some of it went to buy that big expensive boat that finds the bodies of missing children in rivers and lakes. So how much money do we think they pulled in if they could afford to buy a piece of equipment they will probably never use, ever to find a missing child. None of that money went to TES.

I'm reminded of something CA stated in one of her depositions that she had been told to journal everything but she had not been able to do so at that time. She sure is writing up a storm now as she sits in court watching the proceedings. I do feel sorry for her for what has happened to them but I do not think for one minute that they are not still getting money from somewhere, advance on a book, a movie deal, something is in the works because apparently they are paying their bills.

And bottom line is people are not happy with CA and GA not because they support their daughter, because we would all do that with less gusto maybe, but because they have lied, ruined peoples lives, have shown less than proper behavior and are very disrespectful of the court system (they are right on the line of getting tossed for good). jmo

...and because I don't see how it's been about Caylee for them. This is their murdered grandchild...why lie? Maybe you can't accept the truth about what your daughter has done, but lying disgraces that poor child's memory, IMO.

And yes, I can relate to having a loved one in jail...and no my sister would not lie for her son...she could have easily gotten him off with a good attorney...but she believed if he did the crime he should be punished.

They are lying, imo, because they cannot admit they dropped the ball.

Unfortunately not...my sister (46) died while my nephew was awaiting sentencing...no prison time could punish him more than that. In the end, it will all work out.

There is no way that I believe those people are standing up to say that Casey is not guilty and the defense knows this and are going to try and use it to their advantage. It is completely set up this way!

I will be surprised if the jury is standing up to say Casey is not guilty.

I would bet you are absolutely right on this!

Either way, whether it's a mock jury and they are insinuating a verdict may end in an acquittal or not, we all know the main reason is to create the stir before it airs to generate higher ratings. Nonetheless, their approach to this is too concerning at a very crucial time in this little girl's case. It's not about Casey's case, not the "A's", but, "Caylee's" case. The State of Florida is fighting for her through our justice system and it's her only chance for her story to be told based on what the evidence shows. IMO, to put this out there now within a few weeks of the trial is not only in poor taste and for the ratings, it's disrespectful to a little girl that has had her voice taken from her and is no longer with us. That's pretty low in my book. If by some miracle, they can air this without creating bias either way, I would be very very surprised.

Well a member by the name of Casshew made it for me a longggg time ago. It evolved from a bean to bean with a crown to a bean that was having some sort of seizure; as it stands to day.

It was considered a creepy signature back in the day before they let us have avatars here and apparently it remains creepy.
I do have my Charger eyeball that doesn't make anyone happy. I may change to that.

but enough about me. If we can figure out a topic in here, I guess we best get back to it.

I blame Baez and his Dream Team for strutting around like a peacock preening their feathers. First Baez was so assuring Casey that she would not be convicted, IMO. Then came the big names thinking there would be money made for themselves. Then there was Mason 'doing it for fun' and doing a complete turn around in his opinion of Casey's guilt.

I do not think anyone has ever sat Casey down and made her realize that her very life hangs in the balance. No one has ever sat her down and made her realize that people watching these hearings do not appreciate an alledged murderess smile, flirt, and carry on with her defense team. Casey has not even once thought she may get the death penalty. What will it take for she and her defense team to stop playing games and get serious? They all think they are celebrities, IMO.

How long has it been since we have heard the name Caylee Marie Anthony at any of the legal proceedings? Where is Caylee in all of this? When will she be mentioned? Hopefully, Caylee will be front and center in the SA's opening statements. They are the ones who care, IMO.

I am so totally against this 'mock jury' being aired on 48 Hours. I am so disappointed in people who take money made off of Caylee's name. I am disgusted and very angry right now. The best thing I can do for myself right now is put myself in a self imposed time out.

So, time out for me!

Quick ETA: I did write to a sponsor of 48 Hours, and I NEVER mentioned WS. I know better than that!
 
Curious that they say it's being aired on Saturday the 26th...the 26th isn't a Saturday...so is it the 16th...as I assumed...or is it the 23rd?
 
There's a 48 Mystery rerun on Discovery ID I'd like to watch tonight...not much on. But now I refuse to.
 
Why do I think that this 48H program is less than what we think it is and more about what we actually know. Could they be presenting the defense side first to these people on the mock jury, polling them to see how they would vote? Then the second half they present the State's side and then poll their mock jury and see how they would vote finally. That would make sense. If only one side is presented, of course they will vote not guilty of murder because it's an unknown without all the factors, without the evidence from the State.
