The are pumpkins visible in the earliest videos/photos we have from the house. In the front of the house towards the garage end (left) of the house.

I saw some but not as many as with the white door. Do you feel it is the same?

The Sheriff explicitly said that they knew Jayme was there at the time her parents were killed based on the 911 call itself - in part - and on evidence from the investigation. If there was nothing at all captured on the 911 call that indicated Jayme was there he would have simply said that they knew Jayme was there at the time of her parents being killed based on evidence from the investigation.

I happen to believe that mentioning something in the 911 call allowed law enforcement to determine Jayme was present is very significant. That there was a specific reason that the Sheriff mentioned it. There was no reason to mention the 911 call at all. He simply could have said that they knew Jayme was present at the time of the killings due to evidence from the investigation and left it at that. What the significance is, I don't know, but it seems to be something that law enforcement wanted out there.

Interesting thought re the phone call

Hi all...this has been really bugging me. Haven’t posted on the thread in a while but I’ve been keeping up. In my hometown a couple years ago, a guy, Alec Kreider, was arrested, charged, tried, and found guilty of a home invasion and murder of a family. DNA was difficult to link at the time initially because he was friends with one of the victims. He’d been in the house before.

Definitely Home Invasion.
Home Invasion by a family friend or aquaintance, this is one of the ideas I've tossed around.

Think about it, why the pool? Why not the grocery store, Macdonalds, dance studio, school or Starbucks? Without some kind of evidence, police cannot just investigate every place Jayme has ever been.

My daughter and I had a personal experience with a public pool and a pedophile when she was 6 years old. Why the pool? Kids in bathing suits... and nobody knows that the guy sitting there watching isn't a father or uncle of one of the kids in the pool.

If that was asking about my post, they can stay open until 2:00 am Sunday through Thursday nights and until 2:30 on Friday and Saturday nights.
Do we know if responders used sirens? Many loud sirens could draw out people to look. Serious gawkers or genuinely concerned people might even wake up and get out of bed to go see.
If the girls are out driving together that late on a Sunday night and don’t live in the same home, that might be even more weird but they could have been out. Or, so many teens sleep with their cell phones. One could hear many loud sirens and text the other and say “I’ll pick you up—let’s see what’s happening.” Just brainstorming. I don’t even know if sirens were on. Locals would know...anyone on here know?

How horrible. I’m sorry. I think the same thing could be said for a dance recital with some of the costumes. I know, supposed to be so innocent and fun, but I worried about it a bit when my daughter was wearing one of them in front of all those people. Of course I never thought about it when I was in dance, but the costumes can be sort of...too...sexy (sorry, I swear I’m not a perv) for kids.

I thought Sheriff stated panty thief had been cleared.

What a troubled individual, and he has taken on a big part of the media’s attention on the case. A true panty thief.

Definitely Home Invasion.

With all the time going by without a clear motive, the motive might be off the chain so bizarre, no one had thought about it until the arrest.

Could be a bunch of mean girl stuff going down, could be either parent involved in a situation no one in the surviving family could ever have known about, could be a a targeted crime based on just seeing the family outside (or away from home base), could be a disgruntled co-worker or unfriendly exchange by any of the family toward someone directly known to them or a stranger over the course of the day or previous days events. It could also be a thrill killing event, but I would think there would be evidence following that scenario- the perps were caught intertwined in another crime, and perhaps another state.

That is all to say, I agree this crime is off the charts bizarre, and to solve it will involve looking at at all of that, and perhaps have an investigator assigned to each of the off the chart possibilities. Just my thoughts, and opinion.

When my kids were in dance about thirty years ago, the teacher was really old and it was very low key. She had been teaching for decades. The costumes were pretty tame.

When she quit, we went with a different teacher. My husband was appalled by the costumes and the dances.

I imagine it has gotten worse over the years.

Denise spoke to her sister at 10 pm, and I read that Jim spoke to his brother that evening as well. (I’m searching for where I read it, will link just as soon as I find it).

If both parents were talking to their siblings that night, is there any chance that something could be troubling them that their family was calling to check in on them? Or something that happened that evening, or even at the birthday party, and they needed to vent to someone?

Again, my mind goes back to the 2 girls driving by at 2 am. The driver lived about 20 min away from crime scene. Still can’t wrap my brain around why they were out at 2 am on a Sunday night, in that particular area. A Friday or Saturday night, yeah, I get it. They don’t want the night to end and they’re just looking for something to do, taking a ride, smoking out a little maybe. A Sunday night, no. Everything closes early, they were too young to be in the casino, there was no where logistically that they should have been coming from - so why were they out? Did someone ask them, “hey, cops are out at a house on Hwy 8, can you go drive by and see if you can find out what’s happening?”
I wondered about the little gifts given out by Denise at her family gathering. <modsnip - not victim friendly> Was that normal for her? I wonder so many things in this case and some I won’t write bc I’m trying not to hurt any family who may be reading along. :(

I also want to know about the basement window and broken lattice next to said window. It is an entry point to this home, a hiding place and more. I need them to search under the home, under the deck etc...
Ie: crawlspaces.
I had suggested early on that maybe perp and Jayme hid under that deck before escaping and bailed after police arrived knowing it would take a few mins for them to get through the house and that doing so would keep the cops busy. It’s hard to believe they were gone before police arrived. I hope they looked under the deck for evidence!

I could picture Jayme being HELD there with a gun to her head, then being forced to run into the woods. I hope the dogs sniffed that area.

Since the perspective I have, and many of us here have, based on the information from the Sheriff, this crime did go down fast, so it possible, with all the chaos going down when the first officers arrived, the perp(s) were laying low, hiding out in the vicinity, perhaps under the deck, and sneaking away to a vehicle parked a distance from the residence.

The other option is the perps pulled closer into the driveway, and backed out knowing their timeline was closing.

It does look like, in either scenario, Jayme was taken, probably alive. That is hopeful.

Two or three minutes is plenty of time to drive away before LE arrived, especially since LE was not really thinking about keeping an eye out for suspects...just responding to a 911 hang up, of which they get many. I think suspect was close enough to the phone, once dialed, to know that nothing incriminating had been said.

Could be a message to Jayme directly or to the perp and Jayme indirectly. It says we know she was there and we won’t stop looking for her. It says we know you sought help and help is coming. It says they know Jayme knows what happened and if she bailed on her own to somewhere, they don’t think she did it bc if she did, would she have called for help?

I think every person speaking for the family hopes Jayme hears it, to give her strength, IMO. Thinking of Shawn Hornbeck.
