Has anyone been able to find a picture of the house prior to the incident? The blinds have always bothered me. I think they look more like someone was peering through them. I’d be curious to know if they were typically drawn and looked as though someone was peeking through them to look outside.
Go to Google street view. You can see close up of house from Oct 2016 IIRC.

Tablet: It was probably an old one, in a box in storage. Don't you have any old outdated electronics in the house?

Cam: It wasn't long after the crime, it was the day of the funeral. Sounds pretty standard to me.

Neighbors: If I hear gunshots I might note it, but wouldn't even glance at the time. That's life NOT in the big city. If I hear sirens nearby I'd wonder what's going on, because that IS unusual here. But if they're more than a block away I might not hear them in the house. The neighbors might have had on a radio/tv, furnace blower, fan, cpap, refrigerator running, washer/dryer, ... these things all mask outside sounds. If I'm outside I'd note them on the highway 1/4 mile away but wouldn't pay much attention unless they turn off the highway. Also they said they were out for the evening. I've never heard anyone ask out where, or if alcohol was involved. The timing might go well with going out for dinner, or to a friend's house, or a couple hours at the casino... any of which would go well with having a couple beers. They're retired aren't they? Sunday night is the same as any other.

Yes, there is definitely a difference between the city and the country/small town. If we heard shots in the medium size population where I grew up it would have difficult to tell which direction it came from with the windows closed, let alone which house or houses. During the summers at my grandmother's we would hear a vehicle go down the gravel road in front of her house and she usually knew by the sound of the vehicle, time of day, etc., who it likely was. A gunshot in that mid-western farm country loud enough to be heard was likely a shotgun and grandma usually had some idea of which property it occurred on, but she paid very little attention beyond that point. Someone likely shooting a varmint like a groundhog.

Couple new ideas to share MOO, MOO, and more MOO

I’ve noticed the chatter this morning is surrounding munitions. The weekend before the tragedy, there was a gun show in Turtle Lake. I’m sure law enforcement has done their due diligence and investigated purchases made during the show. I don’t think this event has been mentioned previously on the board, so I thought I would raise a flag. Also, the weekend of the tragedy, there was a gun show at Sevenwinds Casino, about an hour north of Barron. Gun shows certainly aren’t unusual for this time of year or this area of the country – just something to ponder.

Probably just as important is a gun sale by a private owner AFTER the crime. In Virginia, pawn shops used make a list of items pawned and make periodic detailed reports to local LE robbery units. I know of one crime that was solved because a diligent detective in another city noted a college class ring on a list and called that college in another state. The school was unique enough that he was able to tie it to a crime in our city and an arrest was made. This guy would be a fool to pawn the gun, but many of these folks wouldn't be accused of being rocket scientists.

Thinking of you on this Christmas day Jayme...
So much heartache for you and your family; especially today. We are here, hoping, trying, looking, praying, and will never stop until you are found. You are dearly loved by more people than you imagine baby girl.

The pictures of her as a toddler are so adorable

Wish i could like this one million times. I keep checking in and hoping for a positive answer! Thanks to all for keeping this thread going.

Whoever the perp is, he had to have seen Jayme somewhere. Waiting for the bus? Maybe he's a long-haul trucker. At church? Maybe someone from church noticed a stranger attending services, or waiting outside. The market? Maybe there's a transaction record, someone using an out of town debit/credit card for a purchase that occurred around the time the Closs's were at the market. The key point is that, if the perp is someone unknown to the Closs family, who saw Jayme and was infatuated to the point of an attack, he had to come into contact with them somewhere prior to the attack.

I still think checking with local hardware/lumber yards, thinking if perp May have made a cell of some sort to house Jayme.
I’m sure LE has done their due diligence on this as well.

Very interesting about the gun shows hope you are right and le checked out purchases etc. I am really writing because I do remember that post about "a prank gone wrong" I was stuck on that for awhile thinking could the killer have wrote that. Over time I forgot about it and did not know it was snipped. Do you know why it was snipped? I remember it gave me an errie feeling. Do you remember rest of poem I think there was another line something about a friend and him....
I do not remember why it was snipped and I do not remember the rest of the poem. I just remember the phrase, "A prank gone wrong". It was probably removed because there was absolutely no basis for it. It was complete conjecture, and bordering on maleficent.

LOL - my husband has a closet FULL of electronics we no longer use. He keeps it just "in case". Although I must admit, we have had to dig into the reserve once or twice!

Device seeking dogs made a hit, apparently? Does anyone have a link?

Can anyone point me to the posting that had two photographs of the home and particularly Highway 8 and the driveway up to the home? The first was just the photograph but the second had tire skid marks circled in red. Were these taken at the time of the crime by date on the photograph? If they were, there is a lot to be asked about them I think. I have looked and looked and can't find them.

I thought it was established that the tire marks were from le when they drove their van over to the deck to retrieve the bodies. Just remember reading that here not sure if it is actual fact. I remember seeing the pics and IMO those tire marks were pretty obvious and I don't think le would have missed them if it was evidence. Sorry don't know where pics are.
