Aeronomy ~ I wanted to see if he had any siblings or an ex wife (possibly kids) which is usually listed in an obit. We have very little personal info on Zelich's background. I just found it odd that I couldn't find an obit. We forget sometimes that the internet has timeline weaknesses.

I found an archived 1987 Milwaukee Journal article regarding GZ, stating he was a 33 year police veteran at:

I wonder what kind of Father Sgt. George Zelich was to his son? He must have admired his Dad as Steven Zelich followed in his footprints (but failed) by becoming a cop. That had to be hard on him emotionally i.e. "letting down the old man".

There is a 49 year old woman in Mequon, who formerly had the last name Zelich. I wonder if she is his sister. She is listed as a defendant in the embezzlement lawsuit against Steve and several searches show her as a connection to him. I'm not sure if I should mention her name.

I just stumbled upon this article discussing the MPD and DOJ executing a search warrant and conducting extensive digging at a duplex in Minneapolis. It's likely unrelated, but I thought I'd pass it along just in case. I tried to find additional articles on it to see if LE has released/leaked any info on what case they're investigating, but I came up short. If anyone else can find anything, please share!

The ad on SecondCityClassifieds was not placed by the family. I can't say who it was because they have not been named in the media. I don't know if they will be either, but it wasn't the family.

That ad is way weird. I said it yesterday or the day before. How on earth would family KNOW she was enslaved and not liberate her immediately, especially if she had mental health ailments? I call BS on the ad as well.

I don't think they KNEW, I think they did know that she was speaking with Zelich and now she was missing, he had ads for a slave and family/friends put 2 and 2 together, I don't think they wanted to believe she was deceased or had been murdered...their first assumption would be that she was indeed living just as the ad described. *MOO

Why are my posts being deleted? His sister was named in the paper. It is public. Anybody can see it. Why did my post with that info get deleted?

That is his sister.

Oddly, is SZ's sister's last name the same last name (different spelling) as Jenny's foster parents?

Re: necrophilia I've been wondering about that too. Because (graphic sickness alert) who's more completely your slave than the person you killed? They can never leave you and never assert their will.

I have been wondering this myself. For Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, and many more sick killers, the fantasy didn't end in death. They felt that the thrill of completely dominating a body was the ultimate act of ownership.

Dr. James Fox, dean of the College of Criminal Justice at Northeastern University in Boston and recognized expert on serial killers, said this about Jeffrey Dahmer:

"He fits the stereotype of someone who really is out of control and being controlled by his fantasies. The difference is that most serial killers stop once the victim dies. Everything is leading up to that. They tie them up; they like to her them scream and beg for their lives. It makes the killer feel great, superior, powerful, dominant...*
He led a rich fantasy life that focused on having complete control over people... That fantasy life, mixed with hatred, perhaps hatred of himself which is being projected into his victims."

Sound familiar?? I am really hoping that is not the case, but why else would he save the bodies for so long?

I suppose he could have been holding onto them in the hopes of the bodies deteroriating to the point where his DNA/evidence was no longer present. It sounds like the deaths were a result of strangulation/asphyxiation. A skeleton wold make it difficult to identify this as the cause of death. (Therefore difficult to identify a suspect and convict him without "reasonable doubt.") There would be no DNA left in the pubic area, skin under the fingernails, etc.

What a nightmare.

The video says it is an old cold case, so it is unlikely related. However, it looks like the address is 2017 N. 40th Street. Does SZ have any ties to that address?

But West Allis Chief Charles Padgett told WISN 12 News that officials in charge at the time said the woman didn't want to pursue charges.

"The female in this situation wasn't interested in attending a Police and Fire Commission hearing that would have to occur if it was a termination or a district attorney review which would have to occur for charges," Padgett said.

Zelich ultimately resigned from the department.

The woman denied she refused to cooperate with the West Allis investigation.

The above from article: http://m.wisn.com/news/woman-says-she-escaped-from-steven-zelich-in-2001/26770854

I need more information and proof from both sides to decide who to believe.

There's probably more than a little truth on all sides. Let's not forget there was a warrant out for her arrest (for prostitution) AND Zelich was accusing her of prostituting that night while she (a stripper - that was new) said she was giving him a private show.

He didn't meet her at an ice cream social.

I've spent a fair amount of time (insert SCREAM here) reading profiles at a BDSM site and recognize that there are hard core "masters" (would classify Zelich in that group) who are into 24/7 ownership which for all intents and purposes strips the "slave" of all rights. They spell it out upfront. There are also warnings given "not to waste time unless women are serious about upfront expectations / demands.

I get the impression that some women might use these forums to get men to pay for their expenses, become their sugar daddies. I'll even wager that a few of them have gotten burned by runaway slaves.

Zelich was looking for 24/7 and for a chance to own a young (19 year old Gamez) he might be willing to pay a lot. It's a pretty dizzying world, to say the least. I'm wondering if WI is ready for a trial like this. At the very least, it's going to be a real eye opening - just in time for the pre-movie fanfare of 50 Shades of Gray. sigh.

Steven Mark Zelich has ties to Ohio, Indianapolis, Kansas, Wisconsin and Illinois.

But there's a MZ, 10 years younger, in Illinois. It's difficult to sort out who's who.

Is SMZ's sister DZ? One is 58, in OH, and there's another who is 44 in IL.

SMZ has ties to Indianapolis

Uhhhh...okay. Just because someone said that you are a prositute or escort does not mean a hill of beans. And it should not matter anyway. She thought she was in danger...that is the important thing. No one helped her. Why? You know...

I keep going back that we do know. Unfortunately, it is pretty scary...but being a Milwaukeean...really not that surprised.
