Keeping in mind we have NO description of the missing woman, could Marie Jost be our UID? She last used her Medicare benefits in 1980 (when she had a stroke, according to the last article) and was last seen in 1982. She would be turning 101 this October. Sadly, one of her sons, Theodore, was last seen around the same time and he would be 74 today.

I've long thought this UID case was a case of someone stealing her SSI checks and that the perp cut off her hands to avoid her body being identified. That would match the scenario in the MP case above.

If they don't find Marie's remains on the property then it's a good chance that this UID may be her.

I was trying to compare the pictures of her kids with the sketch from DN and see if there was any resemblance.

I can't really tell. I don't mean to be graphic, but are the UID's features distorted from the injuries that caused her death?

hmmm.....was Charles Jost ever married, or were there any other Jost relatives missing?

You do have to wonder though if these two Jane Doe cases are related.

On the documentary. Where is Evelyn Hartley"(on YouTube) a detective who worked her case seemed to think this doe was Evelyn. The son of that detective, mentioned it in comments.

Falsetti and his students at ASU's West Campus School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences in Glendale worked last semester to reconstruct the fractured skull of a woman who was completely unrecognizable when deputies started their investigation.

The victim, known for now as Jane Doe, had following trauma: a large area of impact to the back of the skull; sharp force injuries to the left ear -- possibly by a knife; her jaw fractured in two places; two blunt force-injuries above the eye which shattered her eye socket; and both of her hands missing, cut off at the wrist.

The victim was "bludgeoned,” according to sheriff's investigators.

Her body was tossed on the side of a road and found by Vernon County teenagers driving by.

I have no idea if Ruth has been brought up but I think she is a good possible match.
Seems like nobody knows what happen to her and there is no real reliable source as to when she was really seen last.
Ruth is a bit heavier then Jane Doe but could of lost weight it says. It's about a three and half hour drive from Galesburg, IL to Westby, WI and pretty much just stright up 61.

Has Marjorie Linehan ever been looked into? The photo that is on NamUs is from 1971, which would be 11 years before she went missing. She would have been 51 when this Jane Doe was found which is on the younger side of the estimated age. To my untrained eye, her nose and eyes look similar.
