(1/2) It appears to be quiet today at the Carlton Reserve in the search for Brian Laundrie, so I asked @NorthPortPolice for an update. "This is an active and ongoing case headed by the FBI," said PIO Josh Taylor.

Brian Laundrie manhunt: Here is what lawyer says can be used in court against him: LIVE UPDATES

Brian Laundrie search: Motive in prior domestic incident could be used in court, lawyer says
[...]

While it is a general rule that the prosecution is not allowed to "admit evidence of a prior crime to show that the defendant has a bad character … or acted in bad faith" or to show that "because he committed this similar crime before, he's likely to do it again," there are certain circumstances under Florida law where the prosecution can try to introduce evidence of prior bad acts to show motive, intent, knowledge, modus operandi or lack of mistake, Sarasota-based criminal defense attorney Ajay Pallegar told Fox News.

US Marshal Service clarifies involvement in Brian Laundrie search
The U.S. Marshals Service tells Fox News' Audrey Conklin on Monday that it "often supports investigations conducted by our federal, state, local, and tribal partners" following a claim from a man that the agency stopped him on the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina over suspicions he may have been Brian Laundrie.

"In this instance, the Graham County Sheriff’s Office (GSCO) in North Carolina had received a tip that the fugitive Brian Laundrie had been sighted in their jurisdiction," the U.S. Marshals Service said. "GCSO asked the USMS task force to support them in making contact with the subject."

The mother of deceased Gabby Petito says she believes fugitive Brian Laundrie's parents know "most of the information" surrounding her daughter's death "if not everything."

"I think silence speaks volumes," Schmidt said of Laundrie's parents in the interview released Sunday. "I believe they know…if not everything, they know most of the information. I would love to just — face to face — ask, ‘Why are you doing this? Just tell me the truth.'"

Brian Laundrie’s former co-worker remembers him as ‘chameleon’ and ‘weirdo’ who sometimes lost temper | Fox News
Brian Laundrie had the personality of a "chameleon" who sometimes lost his temper and always had clean hands despite working with plants and soil, according to a former co-worker from his native New York.

"He never came across as the kind of person that would be the killing type," Michael Livingston, who said he worked with Laundrie, 23, in parts of 2017 and 2018, told Fox News Digital. "But he did have that tendency to be — I don’t wanna say the wrong thing and make him sound worse than he already is — he was kind of a guy who would get p---ed off pretty quick."

Livingston, 31, was a landscaper for a Long Island garden center, where Laundrie worked the sales counter and did other odd jobs, he said.

[...]

"I remember from back then he was a big yoga nut, always telling me, ‘I gotta worry about my zen,’" Livingston said. "And I thought he was this weirdo."

At a fundraiser for the newly established Gabby Petito Foundation, Livingston told Fox News he’d known Petito briefly from her regular visits to his job to see Laundrie. ...

He said he never witnessed Laundrie being mean or abusive to his now-deceased former fiancée, 22-year-old Gabby Petito, but he did appear to be jealous if he spotted her talking to other guys.

"He would come over and do the boyfriend thing, put his arm around her, give her a kiss, very possessive," he said.

[...]

"He was a good employee who knew how to talk to people," Livingston said. "He knew how to make people like him, he knew how to make people happy, and he knew how to make people buy the product that we had, honest. He had the same kind of air you would be taught if you worked at a dealership."

A person who answered the phone at the facility confirmed Laundrie used to work there.

Petito would visit two or three times a week, Livingston said, and she would ask the staff how they were doing and talk about the road trips she wanted to go on or her plans to travel.

[...]

He also said Laundrie made money on the side by selling drawings and that he spoke about wanting to tour the country’s national parks.

"I think the only reason why she settled for him is he wanted to travel," Livingston said.

Brian Laundrie Possibly Caught On Video In Florida
Surveillance video captured in Florida showing an individual resembling Brian Laundrie -- the fiancé of Gabrielle 'Gabby' Petito and a person of interest in her death -- pedaling an old bicycle has reportedly been submitted to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for review.

The Dunnellon, Florida resident who captured the footage on his property told TMZ the video was taken along a rugged sugar sand patch that is hardly visited by pedestrians.

The man said the unidentified bicyclist was struggling while carrying an oversized backpack and heavy clothing, leading him to believe the individual was trying to lay low.

The property owner submitted the footage to the FBI for review in connection to its search for Laundrie as he felt it was enough of a match to flag it.

Brian Laundrie's parents go on lengthy errand run in Florida, longest since saga began

Chris and Roberta Laundrie spent about an hour at their local Walmart store just after it opened Tuesday morning, exiting with a shopping cart full of bottled water and other items.

They drove by an AT&T store – but it had not yet opened. Then went to a bank, standing outside the door until its business day began at 9 a.m.

After about 25 minutes inside, they hit the road again, dropping off a box at a nearby FedEx Office storefront.

Then they hopped on Interstate 75 and drove north before reaching another AT&T store in Sarasota.

Parts of Florida reserve back open to public amid search for Brian Laundrie

It has been weeks since any firm new details emerged in the case as authorities search for Petito’s boyfriend.

For the first time in weeks, people were allowed to visit parts of the reserve as it appears the search for Laundrie in that area has come to an end. It’s the same part of the reserve where Brian Laundrie’s father, Chris, was seen assisting in the search with law enforcement.

However, the Laundries are still not answering reporters’ questions as the manhunt for their son approaches five weeks.

Dr. Burgess mentions in the above clip why she wants to see the body cam video with the female ranger who was speaking to Gabby during the Moab incident. We put in a FOIA request for it thru the park service - but got denied because of the ongoing FBI investigation.
