No, the FBI does not automatically investigate a case just because they are asked to
. The FBI only has the authority to open an investigation if there is a potential violation of federal law and the case meets certain internal criteria.
Just because in the end there’s not a federal prosecution...

I’m not expecting a play by play. I am expecting them to do a thorough job investigating the homes Nancy was last known to be alive. I don’t expect them to allow family to continue living in these properties, compromising a possible crime scene. Or worse, alternating a crime scene by cleaning...
The FBI is a federal agency who handles FEDERAL CRIMES. Kidnapping is a federal crime. The FBI was brought in because this had the possibility of being a kidnapping and is being investigated as that.

One thing I found odd was the g/f noticing this missing gun right away. Kelly Nash wasn’t known to “pack & carry” or hunt on a regular basis. This was just a gun he had around the house. They had just...
Wow. That does have a ring of truth to it.
Clouseau, thank you for the information on the drag marks from removing the car. That does make sense. However, the burn patterns still appear to be caused by a ruptured gas tank. And a perpetrator would have applied an accelerant at the door of the...
