I think Megyn Kelly said they are looking for a phone, as though one might have been tossed or dropped somewhere in AG’s neighborhood. If true, LE may have detected a phone that was in the vicinity at a critical time that they have not been able to link to its owner.

Right. I imagine they tracked a phone that was in the vicinity of NG's house to the vicinity of AG's house and that phone has not moved from there. IMO

New agents don't run major cases alone, and veteran agents don't work in isolation. IMO

It is strange, unless Megyn confused her words, it sounds like they really do want to know if Nancy's neighbours have anything they want to share about AG and SIL. Its likely they would have been at Nancy's home alot, maybe they observed something, heard something, suspected something - maybe not even directly related to Nancy's disappearance, just in general

This is what confuses me and what the Sheriff has just said - its contradictory. Either they are taking a long time to rule out all the family, or they are having trouble ruling out all the family

They could be contacting neighbors about AG and TC trying to surreptitiously gain information by letting them believe they are focused on them when really they are interested in tracking down a certain phone.

Sheriff Nanos said technology will solve this.

I have rationalized the SIL (maybe AG) being involved vs. not. The night before NG is abducted, she has an idyllic night of games and dinner at AG/SIL home. They are presumably the last to see her alive. Still unclear who brought her home. The garage up/down for such a short period of time still bothers me.

We know they are going to be questioned no matter what. It's possible LE believes the suspect has a connection to their neighborhood. Maybe he saw NG often at their home and that unfortunately grabbed his interest. And this is the reason they are searching around AB’s home. The connection is proximity only.

However, I cannot show any serious interest in following this case and not consider SIL (maybe AG) of potentially being involved in some way. I do not think the suspect in the FBI released video is the SIL but that does not mean there is no connection to NG being abducted and IMO murdered.

LE has repeatedly gone back to their home. I have lost count how many times. LE is also going inside the home. That tells me LE has some evidence that is bringing them there…. over and over. IMO

We also don’t have any solid confirmation that she did make it home. We can assume so based on the disconnects with the pacemaker/cell phone data. But there could also be other explanations for how and why that happened. Electronics are finicky gadgets.

Then there was the initial confusion? Bad reporting? Changing stories? about who actually drove Nancy home that night.

And I personally cannot get past that 2 minute window. My mother also used her garage to enter/exit. It would take us a good 10 minutes to get out of my vehicle, and walk together to the house. She was also 85 and very physically limited.

I also find it VERY STRANGE anyone, let alone some who loved and cared about this woman, would just drop her off. You’d think you would walk into the house with her. Check to be sure she has all she needs and that she was well inside her home.

My theory that it could be TC points to he’s admittedly the last person to see her alive.

This masked person in the photos has a striking resemblance to him. TC is 5’9. Average build. Facial hair. Others have spoke about this person appearing to be wearing eyeliner. Look at the known photos of TC. His eyes have that same appearance.

I’m not saying it’s 100% him. But LE should be doing their due diligence and completely eliminating ALL FAMILY MEMBERS first. They’re not doing this per the sheriff. “Nobody has been ruled in or out.”

not up to date here but the pool cleaners have arrived to clean Nancy's pool. I assume it is getting cloudy with no chems. They are taking their poles back there. Are they there to clean the pool or interview? I would think interview would be elsewhere. This is crazy.

I'm thinking maybe she has a standing contract for them to come do the pool? The Sheriff Dept cars are only there because the family asked for them to be there, not to secure the 'scene'.

Matt Finn's interview with Sheriff. Sheriff is clear that he has no problem working with the FBI and that he's using the FLA lab because all of the evidence already gathered--including NG's DNA--is at this same FLA lab his office has used long before his tenure as Sheriff.

This case is the Sheriff's jurisdiction. Sheriff says he has the FBI in charge of Ransom note because they have the expertise. Sheriff says he doesn't have a problem with FBI.

There appears to be a FBI person who is unhappy that this is the Pima County Sheriff's jurisdiction rather than the FBI, and is taking the focus off of the investigation by telling multiple media sources that the Sheriff is withholding key evidence from the FBI.

Sheriff isn't withholding key evidence from the FBI but rather is using the same lab that they have used for NG's DNA and other evidence in this case so that results of the gloves can be compared with the other results the FLA lab already has.

No saying this Sheriff is perfect or that he hasn't made mistakes. Saying, though, that this is the Sheriff's jurisdiction and the FBI is here to assist Pima County in NG's case, and the Sheriff's reasons for using the FLA lab are fine. While trying to make the Sheriff look bad, this FBI agent is also making himself and the FBI look bad. JMHO

IMO no. Sherriff is doing that allllll on his own.

Honestly devastating, but I’m leaning towards that being the motive now.

I mean, we’re on WS. We can all point to countless cases where vulnerable people were targeted for assault and murder. It’s really sick to think about, but the more time that passes the more I think it’s likely. And removing her from the scene would ensure they couldn’t get any of his DNA from her body.

Any creep could’ve become aware of her through Savannah or just randomly. Freaking heartbreaking and grim to think about. Praying he will be caught and praying I could be wrong though.

IMO, I don't think HER DNA inside the house has anything to do with sexual assault. Of course her DNA is inside her house -- all different kinds of her DNA.

She may have been sexually assaulted (God, I hope not!), but HER DNA wouldn't shed any light on that.

I would be much more suspicious that this referred to sexual assault if they said they found OTHER DNA in her home but wouldn't identify the type.

It has been said because of the recent turnover at Pima County P.D., the average homicide detective there now only has 2 years experience.

There are a lot of good interviews with former Pima detectives with decades of experience, that have been posted in this thread. The general take is the current Pima County dept. is very green. Generally, the FBI has more resources and more specialists so regardless of political opinions which are sometimes misguided, they, as an agency, are surely more experienced than Pima County,

Well, the two of them do make convenient suspects: close to NG, the "poor kids" of the family, creators of kinda morbid and creepy poems and songs, last people to see her.

But if they are eventually charged, hopefully it will be for much more concrete evidence than those details, though.

I was a public school for over 20 years and I don't think of myself as a "poor kid." He works at one of the best schools in the country. Are they wealthy? Maybe not, but they are not poor and even if they were, that doesn't make them criminals.

I think for the one set I posted grey/black the inseam isn't noticeable in the video so probably not likely to be that one but perhaps camera didn't pick it up.

I do like how similar the wrist "cuffs" are and how there is not an actual hood but a little bunch area of actual material - not a clue what thats called - looks very similar to the nest video.

Btw there is loads of different colors available for each, hard to tell the real color from the video.

The thing is though, when you're making 60k and your sister is making $8 million, you're most definitely going to feel like the poor relation. It would take a really big person not to feel some level of resentment or jealousy.

Hello, all.
I have no idea what's going on here, I've had theory after theory...sigh. I'm exhausted. I cannot *fathom* the pain and exhaustion of Nancy's family. It breaks my heart.
Side story: my great-grandmother (around Nancy's age at the time) was a vibrant, seemingly healthy woman who drove her mile-long Cadillac all over Texas to visit friends and family. This would have been in the 1980's. She stopped for gas and was mugged at gunpoint for her jewelry. How long did that take, a minute or two? The stress caused an immediate stroke, the another. She passed not long after.
My God, someone (anyone!) please solve this and bring this family some peace.
