Actually no. So far we have no signs that anyone involved in this has any capacity to discriminate in even the slightest way between "good life decisions" and "bad life decisions". Going back on NG would probably fall into the later category (along with "marrying your teenage babysitter girlfriend who was last seen with your missing daughter"), so I figure we have a better than 60% chance of seeing him interviewed again.

Wow, I missed both the first and the repeat of NG today, but I'm saved, it's on for the third time in just 25 minutes, and after reading this thread, I'm going going to miss it!

Actually, I don't think it's Miz Nancy's business why they're getting a divorce, and it would not have surprised me if he had said that. But considering all that has happened over these 8 months, it's not a shock to me. It breaks up many couples who have been married many years. One can only imagine the stress and strain of living with g/ma, dealing with the media and LE, the searches and still no Haleigh... it was a miracle it lasted this long.

ITA about the duration of the marriage. It was just what many of us here predicted from the beginning, or maybe a little more.

I guess you're also right that it's not really Nancy's business or anybody else's why they're getting a divorce but on the other hand, why would you go to a Nancy Grace tv show to discuss your divorce if you're not prepared and willing to discuss it? It seems silly.

I wonder how his new team of attorneys advise him? Do they see the dangers of being questioned or are they just thrilled to be there on NG?

Well......he had two of the three "best friends" there with him last night.

And I hope they finally can. Misty has no more support system, so have at her, bring Haleigh home.

From the same:
"He really didn't come to us and say, 'I want to file for divorce,'" said another of Ronald Cummings' attorneys, Brandon Beardsley. "My understanding is that this is something that he and Misty have been discussing for the last few days and they're contemplating it because they ultimately feel that it is in the best interest for both of them."

BBM. I find this a bit weird statement. So what did he say then, really?

Also, why is it in the best interests of both? Ron is allegedly divorcing Misty so that the cops can get Misty to talk, but how is that in Misty's best interests? What's in it for Misty to get divorced? Not money, Terry Shoemaker says there are no finances involved.

Misty Cummings' attorney, Robert Fields, told CNN he has not talked with his client and doesn't know her thoughts regarding the divorce. Fields said he had received the papers via e-mail but had not had a chance to review them. Asked what he thought the divorce would mean for the search for Haleigh, he said, "Probably nothing."

Well, that was sort of a stupid question, wasn't it? I mean, he's her attorney. He could hardly have said "Oh, I'm sure she'll confess all now", even if that's what he thought. Anyway, I'm afraid he's right.

"You have to understand that ever since Haleigh went missing, they have been scrutinized," Beardsley said of the Cummingses. "They can't go out to dinner, can't even go to the convenience store to get a drink. ... The pressure of everything that is going on, the allegations and speculation, has been a stress on the relationship.

I hate to be the one break it to them but I don't think that getting divorced is going to miraculously stop all the stress, allegations and speculation. People have just gotten something more to speculate about, and I'd suppose that the stress is gonna be there until Haleigh is found, the perps in jail and a lot of healing done.

The two lived together for about six months before marrying in March. The divorce agreement provides no financial terms, according to Shoemaker.

You know, I don't really give a crap if they actually get divorced or not, and I could care less why they are split up. Those things are not gonna help Haleigh. Misty is gone from the Cummings' home, apparently LE has thought this is the reason she was unwilling to talk. But when she leaves and they have a chance to question her alone w/ no RC, TN, AS, support, they don't do it. If this is how things are going to be handled I am afraid we are at a standstill in this case. And I am really, really disappointed.

Well, I assume that Misty didn't take her attorney with her to go give PCSO her address and she may have said that she doesn't want to be questioned without him. Anyway, that's what she's said if she's taken any of her atty's advice.

I would think so. She called him a liar. I wouldn't go back if I was him.

He looks unnatural, being so stiff, unmoving, unblinking. It makes me nervous.
At 1 :40 in this video, he is in the same shot with Marlaina Schiavo but he looks like he doesn't hear or react to anything she says. He looks straight at the camera, never at her talking. It looks weird to me, it's like there's an invisible wall there and he's completely alone. I expect him to glance at her but he never does.

For one thing there is a time delay in what she says and when he hears it. The camera has usually moved away from him. But, last night I did see him react several times. I also think he wants to say more but has been told by either her staff or his attorneys not to. JMO

It looks like they're in the same room together, why is there a time delay?

I believe the time delay is very minimal and just enough bleep out curse words. I remember watching a live show and they were thankful they had the "7 second" time delay to catch the curse words.

Is he in Atlanta? Cause that is where she is.

There has to be a disagreement about everything that is said by someone who does not agree with all posters on this forum. I happen to like to give people the benefit of the doubt instead of always being cynical and quick to judge. Sorry, I commented as obviously I don't know what I am talking about but for all anyone knows I am a director of a local news channel. And I do know a few things about it. nrn
