I just got home from the hearing. I left at 10:30 when there was a recess. Cindy and George are not present. Cheney Mason was late arriving. The line to get in the main building was ridiculously long this morning. Judge Perry's courtroom was not crowded at all. Holly Bristow and Jim Lichtenstein came in tardy, but together. Richard Hornsby was there tardy. A guy who looks somewhat like Marinade Dave was there, but when asked, he denied he was Dave. KC had her hair done exactly like Baez's assistant. (twins! where have I heard that before?haha)

Here we go folks...Mason wants a re do on JS motiions...!

Was it not noted last time, by this judge and Jeff Ashton, that the state is in no way required to have to give advance notice of their response (before the hearing), so long as they are not going to be citing differing case law?

ETA-Mr. Ashton is going over it again and explaining his position better than I.

CM up now, says numerous motions pending. Discussing copies and repsonses from state. Says state has chosen not to respond to motions filed. ASking for state to respond to their motions. JP asks if this will alleviate necessity of some hearings. CM says it could.

Baez should have deferred to Mason to begin with.

I don't like him, but he is much more well-spoken.

I guess Cindy and George don't want to be bothered with how their daughters case will be funded by the state of Florida.

LDB "reiterate---ad nauseum, perhaps" lmao!

LMAO! Me too!

IMO Judge Perry is becoming annoyed with Jose Baez today. He really hasn't come as prepared as the judge asked him to be and keeps trying to push his honor's buttons. Not a good thing to do, at the same time attempting to make and take small stabs at the SAO! JB is childish at times. :nono:

He better look out or his Honor may smack him a good one!

I disagree.

who just got caught whispering on the mike? anyone catch what was said? is cindy and george there? miised some of hearing as i had leave a bit

I'm a bit miffed that the court takes at face value %'s without anything other than JB's say so.

I would hazard a guess that much of this work is yet to be completed and that in-state experts could "begin" it and complete it.

I think the %'s should be made to be substantiated.

I totally agree...

LDB says the motions they do respond to they end up having a hearing anyway, says it is a colossal waste of time.

They probably couldn't get a refund on their cruise at the late date of this hearing scheduled. At least their money maker is there to get the scoop for the tell-all (JL behind the defense).

I guess Cindy and George don't want to be bothered with how their daughters case will be funded by the state of Florida.

Are GA and CA there?

Amil thanks for the run down!

Maybe GA and CA have been woken up to the fact that a big huge train with Casey & her defense written all over it is headed straight there way to plow them directly under the big bus on the other side. I am really now getting a sense of why the defense wanted certain motions and sealed items etc. Not because of the public per say, but because they don't want GA, CA & LA to get a whiff of what's coming there way.

That's what they get for their support for their beloved daughter. Nice. :nono:

JMHO

AAAHHHH lost SIGNAL

Are GA and CA there?

No. They've not been seen on camera, and folks who were present have stated they are not there. I wonder why, and am thinking this is perhaps a first.
