So Mz Anthony will attend the motions hearing but not the status hearings...Tough luck love you gotta be there when you hear Jeff Aston argue the SA's motion.

I think it's really important for her to attend all hearings. I think the judge is very wise. She needs to face what's going on. She should not be allowed to live in a fantasy land. False hope could cause her to fail to defend herself properly.

Seemed like a really good hearing.

Which is exactly how Judge Strickland already ruled or has Baez forgotten about that...I'm sorry but he made me so mad today with all his STUPID jokes, my God, what a useless, waste of space and air this man is.

Enough out of me about Baez, but with every court appearance I hate him more.

Isn't voire dire the process of both sides questioning potential jurors with the defendant present? I didn't hear that the Judge wanted to bypass that.

I heard him say something about not being a fan of questionnaires, which I'm assuming are forms filled out ahead of time, prior to questioning??

I've been on a jury in Orange County, FL and never filled out a questionnaire form. But then again, I wasn't on a DP case.

I don't get the feeling this judge is cutting corners....just estimating that 1 week should be an appropriate amount of time.

Anyone know how long it took for both sides to pick a jury in the OJ case?

I have complete faith in Judge Perry, though. I think he just wants voir dire to be conducted as professionally and expeditiously as possible. I don't think he will compromise anything that could be an appellate issue.

I actually disagree with this. IMO, people criticizing her hairstyles and/or how she looks is probably much more devastating to Inmate Casey than any descriptions of the state her daughter's body was found in.

I was thinking the same thing...the only way she knows is if her own team is sharing with her...why make her more fidgety than she already is??? Has anyone suggested for her to take a nerve pill prior to court?

Jury Questionnaires.

They bring in a panel to one courtroom. Judge and attorneys in the other, waiting to do the voir dire. One at a time. Who would have time to review a many-paged questionnaire?

JA says a week should be fine.

JP says 2 courtroom needed, one to hold them, one to question them, 15 min per juror.
CM says also a jury questionaire will also help. JP says not a fan of Jury questionaire, seems redundant, my words.

Jury questionaires are redundant because it provides the potential Juror time to "reflect" (embellish) their answers according to their own "agenda", ie, whether for example they would LIKE to sit on this Jury, or perhaps that they would not. They would then slant their answers accordingly.

A personal, SPONTANEOUS interview will more so, (but not completely), eliminate that factor.

KC not wanting to attend the hearings anymore? Having all these hearings must be cutting into Cindy's budget, she must be refusing to buy KC anymore new shirts and we all know KC cannot be seen in the same shirt twice.

BTW, what does everyone else take from the fact that GA and CA were not there today?
