I would love to know who the expert witness is that they had to side-bar to discuss...could this be the psychiatrist for her insanity defense???

I was wondering about the side-bar. Since the judge didn't grant an in camera meeting, I assumed it was about the motion about KC wanting to waive her right to attend the hearings.

No clue though.

I was thinking the same thing...the only way she knows is if her own team is sharing with her...why make her more fidgety than she already is??? Has anyone suggested for her to take a nerve pill prior to court?

In my imagination, I see 2 or 3 days after one of these hearings of one of Inmate Casey's attorneys going to visit with her and having to contend with hours of "How did I look? Did that shirt make me look frumpy? It did, didn't it, didn't it???" etc. etc.

KC not wanting to attend the hearings anymore? Having all these hearings must be cutting into Cindy's budget, she must be refusing to buy KC anymore new shirts and we all know KC cannot be seen in the same shirt twice.

BTW, what does everyone else take from the fact that GA and CA were not there today?

I feel as if the clothing that is sent in for her court appearances is like a little dig at KC...if I were her mother I would buy her a grey business suit with a plain white blouse and that would be it...just blend in with the courtroom and be done with it!

Once again, a hearing not to be missed. I will be watching this one again as there is much I missed and it needs a second viewing.

I still can't get over how inappropriate Baez was with all his stupid jokes, the man has no sense of decorum or decency. This will NOT go over well with a jury. I hope he retains a consultant to tell him that JOKING at CAYLEES expense (ultimately) will not go down well at all.

I feel a power struggle coming on between Andrea Lyon and Judge Perry when it comes to voir dire.

My $ is on JP.

I suppose she will be the one to speak on the Motion they filed, again, to remove the DP...
We shall see just how long Judge Perry allows her speak before he puts a stop to it...I'm ready to Rule. NEXT.

Maybe where the judge is coming from with a week to pick a jury is not to ask too many questions on a form that indicates it's a DP case so the jurors are not aware of what trial they are being picked for. They'll get honest answers if jurors have no clue thinking it's a local trial. Eliminate after reviewing the forms all the unsuitable ones and go directly to the questioning phase in voir dire. By that time the juror will know and they can narrow it down by asking the important questions up front.

I've been pondering this, too. At first, I figured maybe they had something else going on and could not attend for whatever reason.

However, after the motion the defense made asking that the Court grant KC's right to waive attending hearings, I started giving it more thought. I wonder if Casey didn't request that they not come to any more hearings. :waitasec:

If you think about it, the last hearing was the first one since the letters were exposed accusing GA & LA of sexual abuse. I don't think Casey is doing very well. Seriously. I think she is at her wits end with all of her lies being exposed for the world to witness first hand. I get the feeling that she doesn't want to come to the hearings OR see her family. It makes it all too real.

Obviously, all just speculation on my part.

I considered the foreclosure angle, too!

Although, BC is not representing them in re. the foreclosure. They have a separate attorney for that. Don't recall who it is though.
