A clerk for Multnomah County Judge Keith Meisenheimer said an abatement hearing for Kaine and Terri Horman is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday.
No television cameras will be inside the courtroom for Thursday’s hearing. Meisenheimer also scheduled an afternoon session that would start at 1:30 p.m. if needed.
Lawyers for Terri Horman moved for abatement in August and argued to postpone divorce proceedings until the criminal investigation into Kyron's disappearance had ended. They claimed Terri Horman would not be treated fairly because of intense media coverage related to the search for the boy.
The issue remained unresolved and the judge ordered a new abatement hearing to take place.

There is a hearing scheduled for 9:00 am that is estimated to last 3 hours, then another hearing at 1:30 pm estimated to last for 2 1/2 hours. When motions are filed, the moving party is asked to estimate how much time they think it will take, and that is where the estimate comes from.
