Jeez Baez, and this is really important REALLY? I will never understand his fascination with bloggers, it just seems like such a minor side issue that I can't believe the defense is investing any time in it at all. Perhaps he shouldn't read things that upset him and throw him off balance, kind of reminds me of celebrities who read the tabloids, they end up in a worse mess because their egos get bruised by what they read.

Baez should do himself a favor, and choose not to read. He needs to get on with the case, I'm sure there are other things to do.

I totally agree. He seems to think he has some point about the "bloggers" but it's half baked. He never completes his argument or shares his conclusions about what the "bloggers" have to do with anything, other than he doesn't like them. He sets up a premise but doesn't follow through. Yes people trash Casey online, yes we watch and comment on the hearings and read the discovery...but so what? If OJ got a fair trial after all that publicity, anyone can imo.

I'm not sure that anything most of us do is even really considered blogging - does posting comments make you a blogger? I don't think so and it bothers me to hear the defense openly claiming ignorance about the net/technology, but having such viciously strong opinions about them and even misusing terms. It seems unprofessional. They're supposed to be elite/smart - they went to law school and passed the bar - so why can't they investigate and educate themselves on this mysterious magical technology??

It was very interesting how HHBP interrupted CM to say Judge (can't recall is name right now) just left. It was almost as if he knew there was a purpose for Judge So and So to be there, and was letting CM know.....he knew what was going on and with the judge abruptly leaving the courtroom, evidently the mission failed.

Isn't HHBP the President Judge? Cause otherwise it sounds like they lodged a complaint about HHBP and this other Judge came to observe after of course letting HHBP know about it. Pure speculation of course.

What I found most interesting in the hearing were Baez's reply to the Judge's questions, like "how do you know there are pictures?". I was waiting for him to say "I heard it through the grapevine." He is simply HOPING there are pictures. Jose has as much credibility as his client. He said that Jordan was 20-50 feet from the site where the body was found. Anyone want to believe it was more like 200-500 feet? I remember when the pictures were posted on WS and there were NO pictures other than the ones from Blanchard Park that I ever saw.

The Judge also made it very clear to Baez that blogs are OPINIONS, not facts.

Someone needs to send Baez a better fishing pole than he is using. He has wasted countless investigative hours looking for something that does NOT exist. I predict his law career will go down the toilet when this case is over. Even the prosecution has to prove "probably cause" before they can get a subpoena. Guess the rules just don't apply when Baez wants something.

What REALLY irritated me was how much Baez stressed the 'FELONIOUS" taping of the conversation between Joran and the investigator. I think he was hoping that the Judge would issue a warrant for Jordan's arrest on that alone.

I think his career was in the toilet before this case ever began.

JB said in a recent hearing that he didn't ask the expert witnesses to provide reports as they are costly. (I call B.S)

I think he is ignorant enough to believe no report=nothing he has to report to the prosecution.

I was thinking maybe the defense knew of him because of his email correspondence with LE. How did they not know of the pics? And wasn't there also an after the fact video...or am I thinking of someone else? I'd like to know just what the defense is paying their PIs to do (other than harass folks). There was no need to bring up JJ's recording. It had nothing to do with today's motion...but then again...there really wasn't much to the motion.

This judge is retired. I think CM was just testing the waters to see if he could get some support from the judge. Didn't work out that way. HHJP follows the law right down to the letter. jmo

Maybe Jose is bringing transcripts of this stuff to Casey. Gosh...this sounds so grade school, I wouldn't be surprised she wants him to "make us" stop.

The Defense wouldn't be so stressed out about bloggers and posters if we believed in their defense. Screaming, "NO Fair!" at the top of your lungs all day long won't suffice as a defense.
1) You got Strickland to recuse himself.
2) You now have HHJP. Who is unparalled in his knowledge of Florida criminal law, as a Judge and refuses to allow by any error on his own part, you to have ANY room for appeal.
3) You are now threatening HHJP because he will not fall for your BS defense of your client with another Judge.

This TURKEY is going to trial. Ask yourself, why is it, that your esteemed client, won't just end this CIRCUS, which by my count has so many innocent victims being thrown under the bus, though the ultimate victim is a murdered 2 year old girl. WHY? Is it because JB told her initially he thought he could get her off? We have the impression that Casey doesn't exactly dabble in reality...so I get that she likely never had the intention at all of even admitting at this point anything relevant to the case.

People are suffering! All Cheney Mason seems to be doing, as other posters have suggested, is to end his career by challenging the Sunshine Law and other laws that he has deemed unfair to defendents. CM may be doing some things deliberately, but he has to know at the end of the day, they will be stuck with a guilty verdict.

3rd birthday presents. Unfairness is a client who is being clothed, housed, fed by the state. Unfairness is a state having to foot the bill for said client. Unfairness cannot be argued by those who FOUGHT against a gag order and then complain that evidence is released to the public. Unfairness is asking a courtroom for subpoenas because you might have a feeling somebody might have something. Unfairness is NOT the fact that YOUR client waited 31 days to mention her child was missing; I will not use the word report and while I am loathe to credit Cindy with anything, she was the one to report Caylee missing. Unfairness is what has been done to professionals (lawyers, experts), TES workers, the founder of TES, neighbors, well meaning people...in the name of UNFAIRNESS to CASEY ANTHONY.

Stop crying unfairness. LittleBitty does not and would not carry if the UNFAIRNESS fairy came down from UNFAIR land waved a wand and "poof" you were whisked to the stand of a trial against YOU for wasting the taxpayer's money and for wasting the time of the Lady of Justice. Period.

It was funny/interesting that Judge Perry made a specific point to draw Mason's and everyone's attention to the fact that retired Judge Eaton was leaving while the Hearing was still going on. They were going through the Defense's 22 Motions one-by-one and they were up to the JibJab Motion. It definitely looked like Judge Perry was making a statement by interrupting Mason in mid thought.
