How much time did CJBP give Baez to submit the reports?

Judge wouldn't give Baez the 30 days he asked for...so here's a motion asking for additional time...can't wait to read the compelling reasons WHY he needs an extension..this compiling of Expert Reports has been going on since December 2010...

On the UP side....At least Judge Perry got through to Baez and he has filed for an extension instead of letting the deadline pass and violating an Order again.

HHJP's words, "I'm not giving you 30 days" is bouncing around in my head. Will he stick by his earlier words? I've not yet read whatever it was that the defense filed, but someone did pick up a document just before or after the motion for extension of time was filed.

It's probably more like they need to keep negotiating with how much it will cost them to have the witness' lie on the stand for them. They won't be able to submit any reports until that's hashed out.

I think it was more CM telling Baez, "You are NOT going to get a sanction on my forty year career! Do your job and file a motion for extension this time!" See, CM can still leave this case. Baez can't, and he can't afford to lose CM (in his mind). And I guess CM is not willing to go to sanctions land with Baez. Wow, he has finally drawn a line!

So ... JB asks for 30 days, he is denied and gets 20 days but then allows the clock to run out before asking for an extension?

The thing is, if he had delivered some as an act of good faith then you could reasonably consider more time for the others. If he has delivered none (basically) then he is just playing for time and postponing the inevitable as long as he can.

I assume that CM's motion on the sanction is considered by the Defense as having delivered 'some' miscellaneous facts but they are forcing the SA to proceed regardless.

They are probably waiting for the point in time when they consider the need for them has passed and just move on.

You cannot share what you don't have ... but you can delay revealing it.

I smell another tongue lashing...via HHJP to the Defense. Either they have nothing from the current crop of experts they listed/what those same experts would testify to won't help the Defense OR the Defense is trying to find any expert (not currently listed by the Defense) to help prove their BS contention that Caylee's remains were dumped after ICA was in jail. Or the defense is just scoffing at orders AGAIN! It really doesn't matter to me and I doubt it will to HHJP--the Defense has had ample opportunity to turn over this information--well before sanctions were handed down! I hope they wind up in contempt of court and have to spend a night in jail! After all, that is where their fair client spends all of her free time!

All those who did not see this coming down the pike, raise your hands. Yeah, that's what I thought. This is going to be interesting because HHJP was so emphatic about NOT giving him 30 days. The reports are due tomorrow, the extension was filed today, can HHJP just flat out say no this afternoon? What happens if he does say that?
