Hey everyone - I didn't get to check in here last night to see if Amil did a daily report. Here is a link to one of Valhall's member's reports on yesterday hearing...she was in the courtroom

Sadly, there is nothing in our brief history dealing with Jose would indicate he ever has, had, or will obey a judge's rulings. IMO, that would require him to actually understand the rulings. The only thing he does not need clarification on is smirking.

Not sure if anyone here recalls the Halverson Hearings (a Judge in Nevada) and watched how she was being questioned by a panel....I for one would relish the thought of JB on the stand having his credentialling and record questioned by a panel to decide his compendency!!! Now that would be a event I would pay money to watch:woohoo::great:

The officer answered that he was keeping his dog out of the area where she was found, right before he was cut off. I know I heard that, but on In Session, they are saying "wow, he didn't alert when he was right there where the body was found in the woods, so maybe he isn't reliable" (not exact words but close).

I wanted to throw something at the TV!!

I believe it was because they were looking for the couple of bones that were not found right there so he was looking in the vicinity for the bones that were maybe dragged away by animals? Or perhaps moved by the water? He said he wasn't right where the body was found. So, of course, no alert if the other bones were not where he was at.

RespectfullyQuoted kitkatbahr :cool2:

Thank you. Yes, the witness was cut off and I did not hear what he said. I have InSession muted and listen to myfox or cnn. When they go off I unmute InSession.

But that is when the judge said that Jose was outside the scope. :tyou:

I think the k-9 evidence will be allowed. :cow:

lol, this is why I love the hearing threads, so glad you're here today, can always count on you for some "rolled gold" comments.

The constant smirking is causing a twitch in my arm as I raise it to punch the monitor...note to self, Baez is not worth a new screen.

No no - no punishing yourself darnudes - I was so impressed with Baez I went and had a shower during his last 15 minutes.

you gotta be kidding me!

What does that mean?

Motion for Rehearing on Orders Denying Motions to Suppress

Does this mean they want a new hearing of something that has already been denied? Can they do that?

  • #967
Totally off topic but now that we have a breather I want to bring this up.

Someone brought up subliminal cues .....I noticed one either yesterday or it might have been watching the early March hearing tapes, but there was a guy that sat behind KC and every time the camera went to her....this guy would make "prayer hands" that showed up right behind her head in the picture..........I mean he held this posture the whole time the camera was focused on her. Did anyone else notice that????

Not sure what association they were attempting to give by doing that. Also....someone needs to tell the defense that it becomes OBVIOUS when it is done constantly and held for long stretches of time....that's it's not subliminal any longer when it's noticed, ya know?

Soooooo, I am wondering how Baez and Mason are feeling about their big "victory" in getting Judge Strickland to recuse himself?

How's that workin' out for you boys?

I was so mad at them cause I loved JS and I still wish we could see him (if JS had a reality show, it's the only one EVER that I would watch!) but for as far as the case goes, it needed HHJP. we're getting somewhere now, JS was too easy-going which in his job I think is a good thing but with a defense team like this....it's not for the best.

The drawings entered into evidence were all the drawings from yesterday and today

Earlier, i swear I wanted to punch my monitor in the throat, then it dawned on me. Jose is nowhere near trying to prove the methodology is not sound, he is so busy going after Forgey and he gets himself all wrapped up in his own Matlockesque prowess (he thinks). All he has managed to do so far is irritate the judge and make me :silly:

Can you imagine how this kind of behavior by Baez will go over on a jury?
The more he tries to make a point, the less informed he appears. He annoys and ignores the judge, yet still fails to make his point. (probably because he doesn't know what his point is)

In trying to discredit the witness, he continues to make the witness look even more believable. His pride runs his show. It really is embarrassing to witness. By contrast, LDB gets up there and with her organized notes and focus on what she is trying to accomplish, makes Baez appear even more incompetent.

And this is purely my opinion, but if anything, Casey's behavior of not paying attention to the actual questioning of the witnesses. and making herself busy being busy, makes her appear quite unstable and out of control of herself. When they begin in trial to actually have graphic evidence of Caylee's remains at the Suburban, the duct tape, the stains in the trunk GOK ( God only knows) how she might react

IMHO this strategy of the defense of trying to keep her occupied to minimize her reactions will backfire BIG TIME. It is not normal for the person on trial to totally remove herself from the situation. She honestly appears to believe she is employed by the defense team, vs. being on trial. It is cold, calculating and fits right in with her personality. The jury WILL notice it.

no to mention all the tapes that they have of her attitude at assisting in finding her own child....along with that bs of I can't get upset because I'm helping LE.....:loser::sick:---she never appeared on camera requesting the return of her said child or anything or even helped....the only time she was going to help was trying to get out of jail and using it as a reason...and of course can't forget jb arguement of wanting to get her to go on those "secret" missions....not going to play well.....not at all----oh yeah---when did they ever really (i mean really) look for Zani??? They have nothing to show she was a concerned mother----NOTHING....

RH Tweet: "Jose Baez obviously did not prepare very well, examination is unfocused and meandering."

Hmm....I wonder if this is what has kept CM away this morning.....

Murder Docket Update:
03/24/2011 Motion for Rehearing on Orders Denying Motions to Suppress

I saw that too and I couldn't help wondering if this new motion is the beginning of JB trying to get HHJP to recuse himself.........I wouldn't put it past that whole bunch.

I saw that! It was J. Lyons. Early March 2011 hearings. I thought he was either praying or trying to increase his bust. Cecebeans used the word inappropriate earlier to describe ICA behavior. I think she is spot on and believe it encompasses the whole defense gang.

"False Positive" has replaced "Quite Frankly" as Baez's new phrase of the day.
