I got the impression after Judge Perry's lecture to everyone, and Ms. Mercier asking to see the final draft of the agreement - That she is going to back down, so as to not cause a delay. :twocents:

she must really have ice water in her veins in order to be able to "walk" into that back room for housekeeping issues. They would have to drag me in like a giant piece of wilted celery.

the trial WILL be delayed if this lawyer doesn't drop it.

if she takes it to the FL supreme court they will have to delay KC's trial until the matter is resolved.

Florida taxpayers need to start contacting their local TV stations, cause they are the ones paying for this trial, and any delay will only cost the taxpayers more money in the long run. I'd be on the phone and e-mail my local station that signed on to that request:twocents:

Casey Anthony trial: Judge defends jury selection secrecy
By Amy Pavuk and Anthony Colarossi, Orlando Sentinel

The judge in the Casey Anthony case is defending his plan to limit media outlets from disclosing where jury selection will occur in advance of the proceedings.

Several media outlets filed a motion Thursday asking the court to reconsider a confidentiality agreement related to jury selection in the case. Casey Anthony is in court today for the hearing.

Anthony, 25, is accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Marie Anthony in the summer of 2008.

Her first-degree murder trial is scheduled to begin May 9.

I noticed CA shaking too. The patting done by CM was also not the norm. Is this reality setting in or something else ?

Um, the defense turned down a gag order 2 years ago. Even had the media come in to testify as to why it should be denied. The only reason we know so much about this case is because JB wanted a media trial.

The Judge is not making new laws, he is stating the ones that are in place already.

So, this will probably be down to 1 camera only at trial. I don't see trial being delayed, I don't see a gag order now. Didn't hear defense ask for one either. Have they recently?

I smell a plea attempt.

just my two cents: I think they went into the jury room to talk about jury selection, etc..

  • #350
What possible "housekeeping matters" could be going on in that jury room that would NOT include the prosecution?

Any speculation Faefrost or others in legal field???

The prosecution went with them

The "patting" done by CM was not appropriate IMHO.:maddening:

Between KC crying....her mom shaking and I mean S H A K I N G....

something is up!!

Reality is approaching. And the denial they have lived with all their lives is in danger of being pulled away. They don't know how to cope with this. Can't deal with reality and being held accountable for their actions. JMO

I got that impression too, but you just never know.

Plus, I thought we saw a very different JB today -- anyone else notice that?

Not necessarily. The appeals court would issue an expedited ruling. We would have it very, very fast.

nonono! Faefrost is not in the legal field (well at least not above a an undergraduate degree from 20 years ago). Emphatically NOT A LAWYER. Just a knowledgeable layperson. I don't want anyone to get the impression that I actually know what I am talking about.

If this trial does not go ahead as planned....if I were a citizen of FLA, I think I'd be close to saying: "that's it, I am done paying my taxes, you take the bill for state vs KCA to the media now".

:cow:

and cancel the papers that she represents or watch the newstations....

At any time did HHJP say ANYTHING at all to the defense about all of their TV appearances????? Seems to me that is the NUMBER ONE biggest problem with all this pretrial publicity. Somebody just needs to say 'STFU'
