CM just asked her what books she reads. SHE said novels. HE said "Mystery Novels, ok"
I laughed out loud when JB said that ICA wanted to interview the potential jurors.
Is it normal practice for defendant to interview potential jurors????
I have never heard of this before. If it's not normal practice, how DARE her. WHO does she think she is?
With all due respect, this is not only about the defendant's right to a fair trial. HHJP is making sure her due process rights are being protected per the U.S. Constitution. HOWEVER, most importantly this is about seeking justice for a murdered 2 1/2 year old defenseless child.
It is called the justice system for a reason.
How many jurors are left in the pool? How many strikes are left? I am so confused...
I sincerely hope not.
With respect to Caylee (and I would be the last person to dispute that her death is nothing less then terrible), ICA is entitled to a fair trial (I would churn out the usual thing about a trial not being about the victim per se but to determine whether or not that the State has proved the Defendant is Guilty of the crime charged.
Unfortunately, as emotional as we all can be about Caylee (and she was an adorable child) the cold, hard truth is that Caylee's cuteness, her pretty face, her life, the way she would make those around her smile is not at all relevant to the guilt of ICA or anything to do with her death.
For the Penalty phase, however, that could well be relevant.
Has anyone of the pj's mentioned the 31 days yet?
I wonder what the state didn't like about her?
