I have to say this. All these insinuations that Casey lived in this far away world is just that. It isn't evidence and the jury is instructed not to take in anything else but the evidence. Jose is not a psychologist. He can not testify as one. I think the jury is eagerly anticipating an psychologist to come up there and testify on Casey's behalf and tell them what was going on with her... but they won't get that because there will be no expert psychologist testifying to Casey's state of mind. All these insinuations are going to fall flat as soon as the jury realizes that there is no evidence to back this claim up.

Jose should have just allowed Casey to be examined by the State and it could have been a battle of the experts. That would have been better than to throw out all these wild stories with nothing to back it up.

There will be no evidence presented to the jury that shows Casey was suffering from any kind of psychotic break or whatever else they are trying to say. We have a crisis counselor on that jury that is probably waiting for this doctor to come up and testify on Casey's behalf, but it won't happen.

There is no evidence. The jury can not even consider it if there is no evidence! They are to only make their decision based on the evidence in this case.

Penalty phase only - as mitigation...not during this part of the trial - the guilt phase.

Is it normal to have so many breaks? I've watched other trials and I don't remember ever seeing so many sidebars or breaks.

What world is this Jose is talking about? We have gone from "I can't tell anyone a dark secret" to now...

Again, is Casey TODAY fit to be on trial? KWIM? Whatever...

I think they are now trying to bring in her lies, her happy demeanor, everything that the witnesses have testified to etc..was all part of hiding that dark secret..she had to live in another world so she would get through each day..
I think that's is how the DT is dealing with all these witness testimonies that Casey was 'normal'

Of course she is "fit" to stand trial. She is nothing but a sociopathic narcissistic liar. Thats what sociopaths do- lie to your face. She's not mentally unstable or insane. She has been examined by psychiatrists and psychologists both by defense and by the STate. Shes not crazy/ insane/ unfit to stand trial. If she was, Baez would be using that as her "defense"- shes "insane, etc." And he's not. So he appears to be going in another direction now- "Casey's World". Lord only knows where he will be going at the end of today, his game plan seems to be changing daily, sometimes hour by hour. He's a REAL MESS.

YES. AT what point will the State make that point???? All this behavior being blamed on "sexual abuse victim".......it is nothing but sociopathic, narcisstic behavior.

I've been thinking the same thing. I guess they can just keep asking these same questions for mitigation. No so much to have to learn that way.

He tried to sneak them in at the last minute, months after deadline, in a back door manner. But withdrew them when it become apparent that the state would then either get to have their psych people examine KC or she would have to testify herself. They are Dr's Weiss and...?
