She had talked to Baez, she knew what she was up against and she knew what evidence was gonna be out there in a way. Pool Ladder, Gas cans, abandoned car smelling of death... all of it would be out in the open.
She could lie. She knew that if she lied right, and for long enough, the body would decompose enough to cover up a death by suffocation, a Chloroform overdose and/or aspiration of vomit. All the evidence for possible cause of death, including the amount of Chloroform in the trunk, would decompose away if she could lie long enough. And she knew it.
