Before CM joined the DT he said this ---->

"You can pretty well predict that there is going to be a life sentance and and either or plea and get it over with or have a circus trial and then be convicted and then get life"

Did CM really say that KC didn't know how to use duct tape? Did I hear that right?

I guess she is duct taped challenged :floorlaugh:

ohh little nasty stares there by ICA

  • #704
I bet judge Perry wouldl pay just about anything to get his hands on some duct tape bout now

Or his coffee. This has gone on way past his customary break time. He is rocking his chair but LDB might soothe him a bit..

But opening statements are not evidence, are they? The state didn't present any evidence saying she drowned accidentally and the defense hasn't brought anything in the way of evidence yet, so he's right, really.

Mason just said How was this child killed and where was this child killed and then quickly said if she was killed. What a slip.

anyone besides me shed tears for Caylee already this morning?

everytime my 8.5 yr old asks me for a hug I can't help but think no one will ever feel a warm embrace from Caylee again. :(

In contrast to my comments on the DT, I find LDB hugely impressive, and respectful to the court.

Will we see a meltdown from ICA when this motion is denied?
Baez could not have possibly let her believe this would work? ^i^

Opening statement of Baez said Caylee accidently drowned in the family pool on June 16, 2008 and now Mason said there is no evidence of that happening. Can we all say back peddling.

Does anyone know if JB and CM will be obligating to continue defending her through the appeals process? I'd think they want to be far away from this case after this is over.

"What record evidence is there that an accidental death occurred, Mr. Mason?" HHJBP nailed it quickly with that statement.

Why is CM asking for judgement for acquittal? Is it because they have no witnesses? The judge should deny this motion and leave it for the jury to decide. JMO

This happens in pretty much every case. The state presents its case, rests, and the defense asks for a directed verdict. And it is almost always summarily denied.

The states case has rebutted the hypothesis of innocense based on Nanny story. The sudden claim of accidentail death suddenyl came about is not somethign the state has to conclusively rebutt.

Dr. G has stated there was NO accident. The stated witness to the accident George Anthony has also rebutted this.

WORK IT GIRL!

LDB and the State are two steps ahead of the DT. At all times. JMO.

To me, CM sounds on target this morning. His arguments are completely absurd but he seems to be presenting them well and has his actual case citations... which he has actually READ.

I don't believe a word he is saying for a minute but he's presenting well. HHJP doesn't sound like he wants to smack him...yet, anyway.

I'm concerned. Too much focus on duct tape. Needed more on chloroform. 84 hits & amount in car is aggravated child abuse. #CaseyAnthony

It is a procedural requirement. Nothing else, nothing more.

I missed CM"s response did you catch it? TIA

Does anyone know who the long-haired blond is in the charcoal suit directly to the left first row behind the podium? Can't find where anyone asked about her.

My understanding is she is a paid consultant for the defense..

I wonder if JP even needed to hear from the Prosecution on any of these arguments.
