Ugh. Every time I see him shuffling papers I think he's done.

  • #762
Ugh me too! Why can't he just say the jury. Ok nitpicking, but still :)

I hate is when he says Annnnnnnnnd before every question

SHOVEL??? Can't believe he's bringing up the SHOVEL....Is he working for the State?

HAHA I know I am just about falling asleep!

Mock juror #13 nodding off as well. :floorlaugh:

Not a Decomp. Nurse, but have been an ICU nurse for many moons. Once a body begins to decompose, IMO, the blood remaining in the body begins to break down AND becomes diluted with fluid(by product) of the decomposing body.

Thanks for that. I figured it was something cellular going on, but I'm not a biologist. (or a chemist!)

JA sounds very happy with how this is going.

And it seems like everyone, from the witness to the State, is helping JB.

Does Baez think you have to bleed to die?

WOW I must of missed the day the State mentioned all the blood.

  • #772
JB stop saying "tell the ladies and gentlemen of the jury"!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE

  • #773
:pullhair: Bring on something Baez- anything that makes sense!

This line is especially foolish considering the exchange between JB and HHJBP early on, when the judge specifically asked him how anyone would be able to detect a drowning in a pool. At that time, JB brought up the issue of a possible head injury and blood. That may be why he keeps going back to this dry well.

true - but the no blood scenario would also support a drowning - and I think that's what he's driving home.

He wants to show the jury that he, unlike the mean old SAO, is there to help them "understand" things clearly. That's why he drags out the silly flipchart. He is there to present things for "regular folks", unlike the SAO and their "highfalutin'" ways.

It's not working, of course. Smarmy smile doesn't help, I don't think.

:cow:

I feel it sounds like he thinks the jurors are not capable of understanding anything. Maybe because JB does not understand what the witnesses say, he assumes the jurors do not either. I really dislike when an attorney says "Please explain it simply so the jurors understand.". Probably this is true for all cases, but I still feel it is insulting. Like ICA's intentionally lowered chair.

is it me or is Baez just monotone boring and yada yada, blah, blah?

  • #778
Crap the witness opened the door. What the hell is she thinking???

  • #779
I'm so ready for a nap.

  • #780
Can someone make the Mock Juror a pot of coffee, please?

ETA: Yay! Sidebar kitten check! Thank God! :)
