Ok, maybe I'm stupid but, what the heck does it matter if "black specks" or dirt were in the skull? What does it matter what position the skull was in when the brain deteriorated? She was TOSSED like garbage, left in dirt, water and animals pulled her apart!!!!!!!! OF COURSE she would have been moved from original position!!!! I'm not getting it? Is it just me?

And now, after taking in all the detail of the proffered position of the skull for the full discussion, Casey turns her head away from the painful sight and dramatically hides her eyes with an open-fingered hand.

Poor honey. Not.

All this challenging of forensic evidence serves to remind the jury that Casey left her daughter's body in trash bags to rot in a field and become food for small animals.

Quoted from http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/entertainment_tv_tvblog/2011/06/casey-anthony-unfounded-conclusion-mystery-man-what-next.html from June 15:

WKMG-Channel 6 this afternoon talked to Dr. Werner Spitz, a forensic pathologist who disagrees with Dr. Jan Garavaglia’s conclusion that Caylee Anthony’s manner of death was homicide.

Spitz’s take on that finding? “Absolutely not,” Spitz told WKMG’s Tony Pipitone. “The determination of homicide is jumping to conclusions, because it is unfounded, I think.”

Pipitone conducted the first-rate interview, which showed his deep knowledge of the case.

But the analysts on WOFL-Channel 35 were stunned that a defense witness had gone on television. “If I were the defense attorneys, I’d be doing back flips,” attorney Hal Uhrig said. “You just don’t go on TV and go through a preview of what your expected testimony is going to be.” Attorney Diana Tennis said the defense attorneys had to be “horrified” that a witness was talking on television, which she called “unseemly and unprofessional.”

Spitz also told Pipitone: “I don’t know who put the duct tape on her. I don’t know the identity of that person. That would have been fine if somebody specifically had fingerprints on the duct tape. Well, that’s missing. I don’t know who did that. … The duct tape would have come off when the body decomposed, because there was no bond of the duct tape with the bone.”

Spitz said he will travel to Orlando on Thursday and could testify on Friday or Saturday. He said he had been working on the case for a year, had never submitted a bill and had never been paid by anyone.

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but Dr. Spitz is the guy who screwed up the Cynthia Sommer's case big time. She is now a free woman.

And THIS testimony doesn't bother her???

ETA: I spoke a half second too soon. Here's the tissue.

I am not sure this testimony is relevant given the conditions the skull was subjected to for months.

But I'm still listening intently.

Sitting on my hands.................ICA your act is no good it is played out.

and how does all this prove ICA is innocent, and Caylee drowned ? not following...What difference does it make what position the skull was in throughout decomp? It was in the woods being moved around by animals, floods...etc.

I am not quite sure how any testimony could change the opinions of people who have seen pics of the scene. It is fairly obvious that it was there for a while. This case will come down to who's description of how Caylee died is more believable. Not that the body was moved. The SA will say it is animals and flood waters. The defense is just saying it was moved- no evidence that it has a human who moved it... yet.
