Not to mention wasn't the recovery scene cleared and very likely had whatever "leaf litter" disturbed already after the recovery?

Come on Dr Bock...it's time for a trip to Cherry Hills Senior Home!

yes, 4-10 inches!!!!

Well, she went to Berkley in the 60s so the study of grasses seems right

  • #685
She is a bontanist and can't tell what plants those roots came from and can't tell how old they are??!! I find that unbelievable.

Thank you! Seriously!! As a Cherokee, my mom taught me medicinal plants from the time that I was old enough to walk. I can tell you what dried blood root, ginseng, may apple ,and many many others look like, as well as them being freshly dug. GMAB!

If anything, Dr. Bock has learned from the Frye hearing on how to deal and answer the questions that JA is throwing at her. She has change her demeanor and answers from the Frye hearing!

Don't hate on me, but I think this is a valid witness for the defense. She is not spinning her findings (a la Spitz), she is just answering the questions. "minimum time" was the question, and she answered it.
They are entitled to put on witnesses, regardless of how weak their findings are.

I agree, she's a good witness.

So...she saying body was there for 2 weeks based soley on leaf pattern?! Or did I miss something?

ETA: Wasn't there flooding? And a big storm?

Thanks. I am in Virginia. In the fall here I can rake leaves today, and within 2 days I'm innundated with leaves again.

I'm in Texas and we have the same experiance. We have 3 acres of land loaded with trees and it's a real pain. rake, rake, rake!

This witness doesn't bother me at all. First one for the DT that has seemed to be ok.

  • #693
As far as I'm concerned she could be basing her opinion on tea leaves. Where on earth do they find these people!

  • #694
Jebus I live in subtropical HI and roots and stuff don't even grow that fast in 2 weeks here. And trust me carp grows fast here.

I think we should all have a meetup with you after this trial is over. :woohoo: I'll send cases of wine, via mr brown jeans, so I don't get raped on the excessive baggage charges United charges.

He did. “@eviecurley: @bobkealing The Defense Team's own bug expert goes against that theory!!! This is ridiculous testimony.”

  • #697
"I don't know what you mean by frequent."
??????

  • #698
Dr. Bock describes the area as a "swamp-hardwood" area.

Frequently wet.

  • #699
OMG, there are dogwood leaves under my car, but no dogwood trees at my house!! Does that mean I don't live here?!

:floorlaugh:

You are so busted!
