I wonder if Ms. Welch was called for the purpose of buying some time for the next witness to get to court. Or maybe I'm just cynical?

ICA's face says (to me) "Oh no, another "old" witness!" She was smirking as Dr. Bock walked in!

Ahhh, she is a Dukie! (Go Blue Devils!)

This witness isn't young but compared to Dr. S. she is a spring chicken.

who is that dude (with brown hair and strong facial features) that always sits in front of the A's....he is there everyday and was interviewed as the first one in line the other day?

I don't dislike her. I think she cuts straight to the chase, which is a refreshing change from JB and CM, imo.
Yea except her chase is all about chasing her tail around in circles.

I usually see Cindy and George in the courtroom but haven't noticed Lee. Has he been there regularly?

what was she trying to accomplish here??

I'm totally lost...with her direct...what was learned???

IMO, that was all a set-up for Kronk. I believe that the defense will argue that the foliage was so dense and concealing that Kronk could have only found the remains because he already knew exactly where Caylee was... because he put her there. They will try to argue that the (removed) log was his key landmark and that he did mention it in his 911 call back in August.

Dr Bock doesn't recognize the jury, I wonder how many times she has testified in a courtroom.

So far, I'm liking this witness. Seems knowledgable and has a conversational tone.

Dr. Jane Bock-the botanist, finally on stand....very understandable and likeable IMO describes forensic botany as the application of plant science to the matters of the law...

Jury looks a little disinterested in testimony about clearing vegetation at scene. Casey looked at skull photo without emotion

Hoping JA keeps his demenor toned down on cross with bock. Kicking the crap out of Dr S is one thing but . . . nobody wants to see a grandmotherly type slaped around. Just saying.

"Mendara". What does that term mean pleaseandthankyou.

I believe Mendara is a poster here. The original poster forgot a comma which made the sentence a little confusing.

I think they just needed pictures put into evidence for the Botanist. She is subject to recall too.

Why do I keep getting the feeling that the DT's expert lineup seems to have arrived from the Island of Misfit Toys?

I read this witnesses deposition....IMO, she is clueless.
